DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY!!!! I found a bleeding, pussing wound on my dogs leg. Husband rushed us to the vets office and made it there about five minutes before they opened. When we got inside and explained our dog was hurt, the very first thing the receptionist snapped at me was, "Well, we arent even open yet!" Thats exactly the sort of friendly attitude I need to experience when my animal is in pain and I am panicking. I guess the blood finally roused her to actually look for some help, but she told us no one was there, not even a vet tech. They have contacted me since, and in all of their responses they explained they just didnt have the staff, even though it was five minutes before they opened. So if your animal has an emergency, dont waste precious seconds bringing it here. In all fairness - now that some time has passed and my dog is feeling better - I will admit that when I used to schedule vet appointments for my cats there, Dr. B. was very nice and knowledgeable, and the vet techs were sweet on my babies. I discovered this animal hospital because they are part of a program with the Brother Wolf Rescue in Asheville that gives a free vet check up for animals adopted from that shelter.

We dont live in Waynesville, but we vacation there twice a year. Weve used Maple Tree for the past two years at the recommendation of the owner of the home we rent. Dr Birthright and his staff are accessible, knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind. When we were six hours away from our home vet and our frail 17-year-old cat was dehydrated and in pain, the staff at Maple Tree told us to bring him in immediately, and they made him feel better - and made us feel better, too. A year later, we brought in our 12-week-old kittens who had the sniffles, and again, they saw us immediately and reassured us that all would be well. Their follow-up is excellent, too. We always get a check-in call the next day. We appreciate Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital and will continue to trust them for our pets care when were in the area.

The establishment is clean, the architecture is appealing, and the staff seems to be comprised of absolute angels. However, Dr. Birthright seemed to be pompous and completely uninterested in anything that we had to say. He didnt interact with our pet at all (Ive NEVER seen a vet refuse to interact with his/her patient) and he seemed most interested in trying to sell us as many prescriptions as possible (all steroids) before we left. The one, very mild prescription that we ended up taking is working wonderfully, so Ill give him that. We also sat in a waiting room for upwards of half an hour, despite being the only clients in the building. We chose this clinic because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and we were sadly disappointed.

This place is professional all the way. They have an ultra clean very modern facility. The staff is friendly and helpful. In additional to the normal vet stuff, they also have grooming - It is very nice to have all the things you need for your pet under one roof! And I must say the grooming experience I have had with my 2 dogs there surpasses the experience I have with any other groomer in the Waynesville area. The groomer called me first before he did anything to verify what we wanted done and they even give you a cute little report card after the grooming that has before and after pictures as well as everything they did as part of the grooming! You wont be disappointed in Maple Tree, check them out :)

Last week I chose Maple Tree because of the friendly staff and Dr. Birthwrights warm approach at the Rabies Clinic at Riverbend School over several years. Our experience with Gypsy, our sick cat was exceptional. Everyone was so sympathetic and caring. We received a lovely card a couple of days ago conveying your sympathy in our loss. Sadly, when we were still grieving, we received a notice in the mail yesterday from you that it was time for Gypsys check-up. It was difficult to see this cute cat on the brochure, along with our cats name printed on the cover, when we had just had to make the difficult decision to have him put to sleep. PLEASE check your records before sending out check-up notices.

Maple tree is by far my favorite vet I have been to. After having to switch my vet, because the other vet was man handling my dogs. The building is always clean, appointments are very easy to make, and the staff is very friendly. The staff have always interacted with my dogs (even though they can be nippy, the dogs of course), and always tries to get to know them before they do any treatments. Dr. Birthright is very knowledgeable about treatments, medications, and everything you need, and he explains everything clearly before he does anything. Definitely recommend this vet for your pet needs.

As a healthcare professional myself, I just want to say how much I appreciate the care an concern shown for my dog by Dr. Birthright and his team. We recently moved to the area and before we were even in our house our dog Boomer got sick and injured on two separate occasions. They saw us promptly and took great care of him and spent a lot of time with me answering all of my questions and concerns. They never made me feel rushed or like they didnt have time for me or my dog even though I know there were other patients there. And Boomer is doing great now!

I have been connected with Maple Tree Veterinary for a long time. We had a German Shepard who got sick & Dr. Birthright was very kind to run tests & then give me his recommendation. Even though we had to have our beloved pet put down, based on what Dr. Birthright told me it was the best choice. I appreciate all the staff at Mape Tree Veterinary. They are always nice & kind to me as well as my cats. I would highly recommend Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital to any one who asked. They are a wonderful group of compassionate people.

Could not have been better, a competent and caring staff. Dr. Birthright is a wonderful, compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian, the entire staff is delightful and professional. Mini has been uncomfortable but have given her Rimadyl for pain, that is helping. Her teeth look great, how nice to see the comparison in the photos of before and after, unique to Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital and just one more reason to be thankful for the availability of such a professional and compassionate hospital and veterinarian.

This place is why my 9 year old wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. What was amazing is that unlike our previous two vets, it wasnt about the money but about the life of our cat and the well being of my daughter. They did things that I wasnt expecting, adding extra services they didnt charge me for to be sure that our cat got the best possible care. Extremely caring, wonderful people. After seeing three vets in the Waynesville/Clyde area, Ill never go elsewhere. One trip and they made a customer for life.

I *love* taking my two cats to Maple Tree Vet!! The staff is full of very kind people who take a real interest in the health of my animals. The office is modern, efficient, and as clean as my own doctors office. Ive used their grooming services for my long-haired cat, and they were so nice and gentle with him, and even worked him in for me one day on the spur of the moment. I highly, highly recommend Maple Tree to anyone in the Waynesville area who is looking for a quality establishment for pet health care!
