hello its me

Only giving one star because it wouldnt let me give zero. They lie about pricing. They quote one price and when you pick your animal up from surgery its a lot higher than they quoted. They gave me no directions after my dogs surgery. Did not tell me when to give her meds to her how to care for the incision, nothing. Shes an 85 pound German Shepherd, they told me they would help me load her into my vehicle when I picked her up, but no one helped. Had to pick her up by myself hoping not to hurt her. Guess I will find another vet for her after care since this one doesnt care about their patients/customers. I have 7 dogs, Im a breeder. Ive already brought my business here with 2 litters of pups and now my girls spay, would have been bringing my boy next week and lots more to come. But, I guess they dont care about my getting my business so Ill find another vet! Im just appalled at the service here. Then to make matters worse, I had to use their restroom and the darn toilet seat is held together with duct tape and the toilet is clogged. I really thought this was a better vet than this. Sad

Dont take your pets here!!! They are extremely rude, uncooperative, abrupt, and arrogant. They hung up on me 3 times when I called them. They refused to call in or fax our dogs prescription to the pet pharmacy. They told me I had to pick it up from them or theyd mail it. This was very inconvenient because I dont live close to there office, have the time to come in, or wait several days for it in the mail. I think they just wanted me to buy the meds from them instead of getting it cheaper through 1800 pet meds. I will never give them my business again!!!

I went to have my pet neutered, dropped him off and left, I was about halfway home (15 minutes later) when they called for me to come get him because the assistant hadnt shown up to assist the vet. Understandable, things happen, but on top of that they had scheduled the appointment, I had even called 2 days prior to confirm and when I had gotten there, they didnt know anything about it, but said they would fit him in. There is no fitting in a scheduled appointment in my opinion, it shows an definite lack of organization and professionalism.

I had a pit bull that was literally dying. She was my baby. I rushed her up there the staff was great they seen us right away. They kept her for a week then had to do surgery. They saved her life. Today shes as string happy and healthy as shes ever been. Even though at that point I didnt care about price, they were fairly priced. For a week stay and surgery and meds it was less than 1500. I thanked them profusely and I will do it again. Thank you all the wonderful staff at Companion Animal Hospital!!

I have been with Companion Animal Hospital since coming to Live Oak, in 2005. I have had two dogs and a cat cared for by them. They have always been courteous, efficient, and helpful. I have both gotten meds through them and had them write me scripts for PetMeds or Walmart. I find there charges about the same as others in the area. Mostly, I have received routine care, spay, neuter, shots, flea and heart-worm meds, etc. However, my cat was a wild kitten and always has to be sedated for treatment.

Our Sweet Beautiful girl would still be alive if I had gone somewhere else. Actually pretty sure of that! Plus, doc does not have good bedside manners and does not listen to the customer, I asked for specific test and they responded with "she doesnt need that". Then followed with a bad diagnostics therefore all treatment was incorrect, costly and time consuming and mostly a hugh stress on the poor sick little pooch. Now cause of them, she is in rainbow bridge and not in our life.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS....I TOOK MY CAT IN FOR A ROUTINE DENTAL CLEANING, THEY TORE A HOLE IN HER ESOPHAGAS WITH THE TUBE THAT WENT DOWN HER THROAT. SHE DIED LATER THAT EVENING. I HAD HER 12 YEARS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY..I MISS HER SO. REST IN PEACE. IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR FURRY FAMILY, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO COMPANION ANIMAL HOSPITAL........

I board my blue pit bull there and they were super good with him. Most places just simply wont take any restricted breed. But not only they take him but they were loving and bonded with him the whole time he was there.
