Im not sure why this other person left such a bad review because my experience was great. It was my first time going there and all the employees came up to my dog giving it treats and petting him and making him feel at home. Everything there was very professional. This is one of the first vets I have been to where i dont feel like theyre trying to sell me something. Dr. Kern is also a very nice man who you can tell loves animals. It has been two or three weeks since I went in for my dogs itching problem and thanks to Dr. Kerns advice the problem is now gone and my dog looks as healthy as ever. Thanks Balsam Animal Hospital!

Took my yorkie in trouble breathing had x-ray diagnosis congestive heart failure . bill 120.00 x-ray 45.00 office visit. Gave 90.00 with balance in one week. Dont owe them any unpaid bills never owed them any money over the past 20 years . they refused to give dog his prescriptions until the bill was paid in full.will never step foot in this office again. Not being able to breathe is a horrible feeling obviously they dont really care

This place is great. The staff are professional and go the extra mile for their patients. I was very pleased with how much effort they put into saving us money while still providing great care. I left another animal hospital of Waynesville because I was constantly feeling like they were just driving revenue and that was their only concern. This place is different. WAY different. Check them out.

I brought a rescue kitty, who was on his last legs and dying, to Balsam. They were wonderful! They ended up having to transfuse him, and it was touch-and-go, but they brought the poor thing back to health. Then one of their techs fostered the rescue out of the goodness of her heart, until we found him a home. These are very caring and dedicated vets & staff. I recommend them!

The WORST experience I have ever had at a vet’s office. I would never recommend anyone going. It was close to our home when first moving to the area and found it convenient and we took our small dog only to discover it to be the most terrible experience of my life at a vet’s office. I would NEVER take another animal of mine into this office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been taking my animals to this veterinarian practice for at least the last 20 years. The staff is wonderful with both the animals and their owners. The prices are competitive but reasonable. Above all you know that they care about you and your pet.
