Dr. Patel, himself, is WONDERFUL and the best neuro I know. But G-d help you if you have to get through to his office on an urgent basis! His office is simply impossible to deal with. The phone lines are CONSTANTLY busy (told you he is a great doc!), there is no answering machine to leave a message for a callback, and the phone lines are shut down for lunch from 1130 until 2 pm. Sometimes, it has taken me as many as 3 days JUST TO GET A WARM BODY ON THE PHONE. And bring "War and Peace" with you when you come for your appointment, because the wait times are typically very, very, very long. Unless you have the first appointment of the day, you should take the whole day off for your appointment. Its a trade off: great doc, but you have to put up with this nonsense in order to see him. MAYBE. Because hes scheduled MONTHS in advance. Frankly, I am growing weary of it.
