I cant speak for everyone, only myself and I LOVED Dr.Yim. I had a toothache for over a month. I had NO dental and finally got on a dental plan on the first of March. I called and had an appointment set up with Logan dental in Bellefontaine. Thay made it for a week away. I couldnt take the pain anymore, nothing was helping. I got up on saturday the 3rd and got the phonebook and started looking for dentists. I found Dr. Yim and he was open on saturdays. I called and a man answered the phone and I hung up because I didnt have my information from my dental plan in front of me. The phone rang back and it was Dr. Yim wanting to know if someone had called and I told him it was me and explained about my dental and was crying the whole time because my tooth was half gone and it was killing me. It hurt so bad my ear hurt. He told me to come in at 1:15. I drove to marysville and went to his office. He was so very nice. He told me my tooth was infected very badly and the infection could kill me. I was surprised at that, I didnt know. He asked me what I wanted him to do and I told him, "GET RID OF IT". He took xrays and pulled the darn thing out. I was never so releaved in my life. I would rather have 20 kids then to have that kind of pain. He gave me an antibiotic and pain med. It took him 2 seconds if that to pull it. I have been to other dentists but Dr.Yim is my all time favorite. No ands ifs or butts, I wanted it gone and he pulled it. He is very friendly, fast and his chair side manner is amazing. He had closed at 1:00 but still took care of me and made my appointment for 1:15. He was all alone that day, his receptionist had called off. He was amazing. He knew what he had to do and did it very profesionally.I went back to him on the 2nd of April and had another tooth pulled. He didnt tell me one time he could save it or I needed to keep it. I said pull it and he did. I have more work that needs to be done and I wouldnt go to anyone else but him. Im sorry the other reviews on Dr.Yim are so crappy. All I can say is I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.YIM TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE. He cares about his patients--at least I think so. Thank you Dr.Yim. Im so glad god made you and an excellant dentist and you were there when I needed you.. As for your staff--I thought they were very friendly even on the phone when I had called. Keep up the great work. How often do you find a dentist open on a saturday---never.

Dr. Yim and his staff at TLC are absolutely wonderful. Im a newer patient there, and am so glad I made the decision to start seeing them. The day I made my initial appt, I called to set up a routine cleaning & I mentioned Id had a pain in my tooth/jaw, but that it wasnt urgent. The receptionist immediately offered me a same day appt that didnt interfere with my work schedule. Upon arrival, they were friendly & talkative, not at all the typical people you find sitting at the front desk of medical offices. I was called back ON TIME & was immediately treated. I never once had to wait on the doctor or hygienist, and everything was thoroughly explained to me. I was told all my old fillings would need replaced, so upon leaving they found me an accommodating appt for 2 weeks later. The 2nd appt was just as smooth-sailing as my first. Dr. Yim was very patient with discomfort I was feeling, & as before, everyone was so nice. Hes got a knack for injecting numbing without an ounce of pain too, which is wonderful! 5+ fillings were removed & refilled & I was out in exactly an hour. The doctor is quick, yet doesnt compromise thoroughness. He even offered to provide a cosmetic service to me, free of charge, as well. They do not over-charge & I was given an accurate quote for treatment at my first appt. During the 2nd, I paid, & it was only $84 (yes, I do have insurance also). I have already told many people about how great TLC is & will continue to do so. Thanks for making an experience most dislike something totally tolerable & pleasant!

Ive had a hellish time of it with Dentists in the past - from the grossly incompetent who ignored serious issues to the old-fashioned "well of course it hurts! Its supposed to" type. Add to that years of orthodontic appliances and surgeries, and you have someone a bit "face shy" about anyone coming near their mouth. Luckily, Dr. Yim seems to understand that, and doesnt hold it against me, even when I had a full freak out when he was trying to fix some cavities that had been neglected in the past. Because of that and the fact he is the first person associated with dentistry Ive known who makes it a point -not- to cause pain, Ive actually gotten to where going to the dentist is as "normal" for me as any other doctor. Hes very gentle with his tools, and in the years Ive been going there now, hes never once left my mouth sore as I thought was the norm prior to going to his practice. Even those fillings didnt hurt. ....of note, I also havent had any new cavities since Ive started going to him, despite no change from me in how I care for my teeth. To add to this, he is also is pretty accommodating, both in terms of schedule and affordability, and has given me some discounts in the past which I greatly appreciate. When your insurance doesnt cover the heavy duty night guards you grind through like wet paper, every bit helps. I definitely recommend him, especially if you have had bad experiences with dentists in the past. Pain is not normal, nor is it necessary.

My sister and 9 year old nephew visited this office on Sat. the 9th. My nephew was evealuated by Dr. Hae Su Yim and it has been determined by him that due to my sis not having the means to provide dental care until my nephew qualified for CareSource, a permanent tooth indeed needs extesive care. This man treated her like a piece of trash when speaking to her in front of her son after the exam. He spoke of the need for a specialist and chastised her for not seeking attention sooner, all but accusing her of neglecting her son. My sis is a single mom who sacrifices everything for her son and I resent this man implying otherwise. The clincher was telling my sis, in front of her son, that he could die (Im supposing from infection). She was stunned. Upon leaving the building and arriving in the parking lot,my nephew turned to her and said "Mommy, am I going to die?" with tears in his eyes. Who the hell does this man think he is? How dare he speak to my family in such a condescending and intimidating manner? I will be filing any complaint I can with anyone who will be listening at the ADA. I would advise anyone to think carefully before taking your children there in hopes of protecting their fragile emotions. This behavior is inexcusable.
