I just experienced the most unprofessional customer service by phone from the woman who schedules appointments. I would NEVER allow an employee to blame the customer for the answering service neglecting to report a cancellation. Being our first appointment and marked a "no show" meant they needed to prove we called to cancel before we could reschedule again. Obviously a communication error on the answering services part. The receptionist was disrespectful, unkind, short in patience, saying "its not my rule honey" (did she really just call me "honey"?!) I would in no way subject my teenage daughter to a first-time appointment in such a negative atmosphere. Bedside manner goes all the way to who the doctor trusts as their front-person. Fail. I had been patient enough just getting through during hours of operation (recording says office is closed 90% of the time during regular hours). Plenty of other good GYNs out there with compassionate care and professionalism.

I felt like she was very uncaring and condescending. Her rudeness to me was beyond unprofessional. Her nurse also seemed offended by her careless disregard for how she communicates. She was recommended to me by a friend and I straightened that friend out immediately. Please do not put yourself into the hands of this woman. She discriminates against her own kind. She acted as if because I was black I was med seeking. All I asked was that she change my pain medication to something that wasnt as strong as percocet. Not only did she refuse she suggested I take Tylenol. This was one week after she butchered me in surgery. When I went to have my Staples removed after surgery she cautioned me not to kick her nurse because her nurse was tiny compared to me. Like I said beyond rude. Keep your money and your dignity, go to someone who actually cares about their patients enough to extend basic kindness and consideration without judgement and ridicule.

In my years here in the area dealing with ONLY women professionals, Dr. Drummond-Ray and her staff have been my BEST experience! Their smiling faces and relaxed manner always make me feel welcomed. Dr. Drummond-Ray has an open, informative and caring bedside manner. I was leery when a friend highly recommended her because she was past my usual 15 minute commute limit from my home(I LOATHE driving!). I consider the extra minutes in the car well worth it whenever I visit! I highly recommend Life Stages Womens Health and Dr. Pamela Drummond-Ray!!!
