DO NOT go to Reid Veterinary Hospital, they will take your money and not properly take care of your pet. I took my cat here because he ate a bunch of string and was throwing up and stopped eating. The vet did not touch my cat, he immediately said we should just take an x-ray. Took an x-ray, which looked normal so he gave me some lubricant gel to feed my cat and sent me home with a $130 bill after being there about 10 minutes. Also seemed more interested in making jokes about my cat eating the string than helping him. My cat got worse, so I took him to Albany Animal Hospital less than 24 hours after Id been at Reid Veterinary Hospital. The vets at Albany Animal Hospital had to perform emergency surgery because my cat had gone into shock and was probably going to die overnight if they didnt operate. They removed a huge chunk of string from his small intestine and now he is doing GREAT!!!!

I started going to Reid after a friend recommended them to me as being very knowledgeable in Great Danes and I had always been pretty satisfied. When my Dane took ill several months ago, I was desperate and thought for sure I would lose him. Im pretty sure I met the whole staff during my dogs ordeal and they were fantastic, to say the least. My dog was well taken care of and loved during his brief stay there and when it came time for further tests/procedures, it was done with the highest level of care, professionalism, and empathy. I was thankful that I had somewhere like this to bring my sick dog--it meant everything to me. And the prices were very reasonable--my husband and I are both full-time college students with a little one and we were able to afford the high level of care given to our Dane. Thank you, Reid Veterinary Hospital!

Dont know what the one star person is talking about. Weve been coming here for years, and they give the best care I have ever seen. They do cost a little more than other vets in the area, but quality care is worth it.

The doctors and staff are wonderful! The enviroment is comforting and inviting. I would not take my pet any where else!
