I have two cats and a puppy who are patients at The Ark. I have been extremely satisfied with the care we have received to date. The front office staff is very friendly and efficient. They are caring and take an interest in my pet and my family. Dr. Helton and Dr. Collins are both very friendly and very knowledgeable. The level of care and compassion I received a couple of months ago when my puppy was very sick and they thought he had Parvo was terrific. I feel their prices are very competitive and I have never had to wait more than five minutes to be seen -- with the exception of the one time I did not have an appointment and had to be worked in on a Saturday morning due to the previously mentioned puppy illness. I am very pleased with The Ark and would highly recommend it to any pet owner.

Took animal there to get rabies shot to renew her license. Apparently, they forwarded my name and information to Lane County who sent us a threatening letter about licensing our animal. I did not go in and pay a fee so they could forward my information to the County. They are complete idiots, I went in to get a rabies shot for the expressed purpose of updating my license. The County then sent the threatening letter to an address in Benton County. Of course the animal isnt licensed in Lane County, it lives at the home in Benton County--you know where you mailed the letter to. The animal is licensed, in Benton County. From the wording of the letter I now have to take my time to contact the County or they will fine me up to $400. This is why regular people dislike the government.

I TOOK MY DOG THERE FOR YEARS, BUT A YEAR AND HALF AGO HE DEVELOPED A COUGH THAT KEPT GETTING WORSE. I HAD XRAYS DONE, PUT HIM ON ALL DIFFERENT MEDS. BROUGHT HIM IN 3 TIMES IN 2 MONTHS UNTILL THEY SAID HES FINE STOP BRINGING HIM IN NICELY. I TOOK HIM TO ANOTHER VET ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND ARK DIDNT EVEN SEND OVER THE XRAYS I PAID FOR WITH HIS RECORDS! FOUND OUT ON FRIDAY WHAT HAS BEED CAUSING THE COUGH IS A LARGE CANCEROUIS MASS GROWNING OFF HIS SPLEEN. ITS TO LARGE AND HE IS TOO OLD TO DO ANYTHING FOR NOW...HE HAD BEEN COUGHING FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AND THEY NEVER ONCE CAUGHT ON TO OR EVEN XRAYED CORRECTLY TO SEE THIS MASS THAT NOW HAS BEEN THE DEATH OF MY BELOVED BOY FOR THE LAST 13YRS......WORST VETS EVER

Superb . We have given both Dr.Helton and Dr. Stone difficult and rather unique problems with our 100# German Shepherd [Crom] and they have handled them with the highest level of care and compassion . We traveled 1 1/2 days to return to Eugene from our summer residence in B.C ,Canada when a serious problem escalated and no longer could be treated over the phone -------- we would never take our dog to anyone else . We cannot say enough about the whole clinic . As a physician myself ,I can truly say that I would love to have a physician for myself that was as caring and compassionate . 5 stars is not enough for this clinic !

My wife and I and our two cats moved to Eugene a few years ago. We asked around for a good vet clinic and were referred to The Ark. After buying a house on the other side of town with other clinics much closer we wouldnt take our two furballs anywhere else. Its worth the drive for the service. I am especially impressed with Dr. Helton every time Im there. He is kind, caring, and a straight shooter. Thanks for the great experience.

I had a concern about my cat (turned out it was a flea issue) but the wonderful and caring staff at the Ark were able to make time in their busy schedule for a same day appointment. Dr. Helton took great care of my cat, and me! and we both left knowing we were on the road to recovery - although one of us was not too happy about traveling that road in a carrier. I highly recommend the Ark to any pet or pet owner.

Good and thorough but kind of have a A typical standard way of threating. Do not get me wrong though. Although l, I would recomend them for your veterinary needs but not to be so hasty on recomended meds. Unless for a chronic condition. Just like humans it is good to find alternative methods of treatment than steroids and some meds. A little pricey also.

I called before their operating hours because my cat was running a fever and was having other issues and they had me bring him right in! They took great care of him and even washed his blanket that was in his carrier. The vet tech sent me a picture of him once his fever was down! What an amazing crew!!

Having fell on hard times I informed them I had only enough money for a basic $60 visit. Almost $300 dollars later I left with some spray. I said I was unemployed but they had no problem saying yes we know and then went ahead with the other tests as if money didnt matter.

We waited 30 minutes in a room for the doctor to come in. Worst experience. The receptionists were rude and not helpful. We had an appointment and were ready to walk out. This is ridiculous. If you need a vet, go to Santa Clara Animal Hospital. It was the worst service.
