Last week, we brought our little rescue kitty to Dr. Scarpinatto in Beaverton, Oregon. He is a most well-informed and confident voice in the veterinary profession. Dr. S spent a full hour discussing the panel results of our old, hobbily–wobbily, unwanted and abandoned cat. He offered practical insights how to best move forward. After a very abused life, I felt tremendous relief that our "Raffi" had access to humane and well considered medical attention. While sitting in the waiting room, I struck up a conversation with another dog owner who travels well over a half hour specifically seeking Dr. Scarpinattos care. She has seen him for years and has taken all of her pets to him for advice. We talked about the high level of care in this clinic that made it so worth the effort to drive the extra miles. Especially with senior, geriatric animals–Dr. Scarpinatto excels. Dr. Scarpinatto serves his profession with dignity and intelligence. Your pet will be humbly served by him and his warm and welcoming office staff.

I have been going to Dr Don Scarpinatto for over 14 years now. I found him when I was searching for a vet to keep my highly allergic rat terrier going. Dr Don was the most knowledgeable of all the vets I talked to. I also do rescue and have brought Don every dog I take in. Over a hundred, I think. He has saved dogs that I thought too badly hurt or ill to survive. Don is a superb vet. He isnt much of a people person but he sure understands animals. He also understands those strange viruss dogs get in the south. I take in dogs from all over and have been impressed with Dons experience. Don has treated all of my personal pets. He is the best. If you want an experienced vet with common sense who relates to the animals, Dons your guy. And all those office cats? They are rescues.

I am impressed with the way they handled our Elsa. Elsa is a rescue. She has a lot of issues and her behavior becomes worse when anyone including myself try to clip her nails,clean her ears or anything.The staff and Dr. Martin are just GREAT! I loved the fact they just did not knock her out to do a routine exam. But instead just put a muzzle on her.Things went better the second visit. Dr. Martin gave Elsa some meds to help calm her down along with the muzzle. We can only hope in time Elsa will figure out no one is trying to hurt her, but help her. She always feels better after it is all done. Thank You to each and everyone for being so kind and understanding. You All ROCK!!

The vet techs were kind and fit me in first thing in the morning without an appointment when my cat had some GI issues, but I left mid-appointment because the veterinarian was speaking rudely to the front desk staff, and I heard him practically yelling at someone on the phone saying, "if you had done what I asked, we wouldnt be having this conversation." It was unprofessional, and I felt very uncomfortable. It is one thing to have those conversations in private, but another to speak so sternly and loudly to staff that customers can hear it from exam rooms. Unfortunate experience.

Most of the reviews here were good, so, we decided to give this place a try. 1) Vet is more interested in selling the products that he carries. Kept telling me that the food we give our dog is not good and the ones that he carries are better. They are twice the cost of what we feed our dog... and we dont feed our dog cheap food either. 2) Paid $160 for a blood test and was told I would get a call back with the results. I had to call them back 2 weeks later since I had not heard from them. We will be looking for a new vet...

I have been taking my cat here for 13.5 years, and Dr. Scarpinatto has treated him like his own cat. Dr. Scarpinatto has always gone out of his way to help my cat and understand his needs; be it nutrition, allergies, and illnesses. The staff are top notch, friendly, and are very helpful and kind with their patients and their owners. Although my cat is nearing the end of his life, I will continue to trust my pets care to Dr. Scarpinatto and Best Care Animal Hospital. Thank you!

A lot of people seem to like this place but for me and my family its neutral. They do a great job caring for our pets and have some of the best treatments for them but Dr. Scarpinatto and one other person there made my mom and I feel uncomfortable. They dont seem to be a people type of person and I can understand that but its just a couple times when we saw them for our dog that I wish things could of gone better. Besides them, everyone else there is pretty nice.

I love this place, theyll give you their honest opinions with out breaking your bank. Not to mention I was out of medication when they were technically closed but they still answered me and opened their doors so I could get my pet the care she needed. If you want literally the best care for your pet without feeling totally money abused this is the best clinic to go to.

Did not receive veterinary care but took a lost dog here on my way to work. The staff was kind and agreed to hold on to "Mac" and try to contact the owner - with a backup plan to contact the Humane Society pick him up. They got in touch with the owner and called me to know that he got home safely. Thanks, Best Care - glad to have you in the neighborhood.

No better vet in Beaverton. Took our cat there, he was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Scarpinato has been so amazing, so concerned and so involved. Even while on vacation for a month in S. America, he had me call him every morning with my cats blood sugar numbers, that is how concerned he was. I would never go anyplace else.

I love this place. True, the doc isnt much on people, but his care for my little pup MORE than makes up for it. His number one concern is animals, and if he has to step on some people toes to make sure the animals get the best care, so be it. And honestly, I respect that!! Would absolutely recommend to EVERYONE!

Dr. Scarpinatto is the best! He is very caring and willing to go the extra mile to help you and your pet. I drive from Clackamas to Beaverton with my 3 cats just to see him, I cant get myself to go anywhere else. Its called "best care" for a reason! Defenetly recommend

By far the most caring vet I have ever been to. Not a people person, but definitely the greatest with animals. Took care of our dog until she finally passed away just before her 19th birthday. I attribute her longevity to the care received here.
