I am not too happy with how the staff treated my 84 year old Father who is a Veteran of Korea. We went in to get his medical card renewed, and they looked him up in the system and couldnt find him. The lady looked right at him and said " Well, youre not a veteran!" Inexcusable! The would not replace his card without his DD214. We have been trying to get this for YEARS!! We have an official document stating that his records were destroyed in a fire in DC in 1973. The only thing that we can get is a certification of military service, and apparently that is not good enough. I am appalled and at my wits end over the treatment he has received and how difficult this process has been for us. The lack of help and the rudeness of the staff is just not ok.

Ever since December 2008 the VA has been trying to cover up my skull fracture and my dramatic brain injury and by saying that I have PTSD. They have given me so many drugs for PTSD that they tried to kill me with them. So theyre purposely misdiagnosing a patient and intern giving them drugs that match that misdiagnosis. From what I can understand thats poisoning your patient, because youre giving them drugs that they dont even need. They have done the same thing with my swollen tonsil, purposely diagnosing me, and then giving me drugs for that misdiagnosis. ive told people before that the pharmacist down at the American lake VA do not act any different than a drug dealer hanging out at the Lakewood Towne center;-);-)

Nobody knows anything. Most of the clinics have people working front desk do not know how to talk to Veterans. Ask them a question & they have no idea what the to do. Lets talk about the VTN. I was asked to review it for womans call center. NO one had a clue. I was unable to travel by bus & NOT ONCE was this program offered to me. I was told to call 911. They had no clue that I need VA authorization to call & I would be taken to the closes ER which is 2 miles away. Try calling directly on the 583-1444 no one answers.

After moving and trying to go to this VA my papers have been lost twice, Ive been sent to the same mental health appt 3 times in a row, been seen by a doctor who I couldnt understand and never told me he was prescribing medicine for me, no one answers the phone, and Ive been hung up on in the middle of conversations. Great way to be treating veterans American Lake.

The Va at american lake has helped me deal with my mental issues.. IT is a life line! so far, I have been dealing with my anxity and depression and it is comforting to see the services of this facility. The GOVERMENT needs to expand the service!!! The homeless issue is a problem and ventran friendly services need to be considered.

Just started coming here, transfered from Bellevue CBOC, so far very good experiences all around. I am very happy with the providers, they seem much more experienced dealing with veterans, an overall refreshing experience, they definately make my life much better!!!

I am a 88 year old WW 2 vet. Have been using VA medical for at least 20 years. Very happy with the treatment that I have been getting. VA is stuck with me until I go with JESUS. VA medical at Phoenix & San Diego also excellent.

Projected 6 months to get dental work for one tooth done. The staff has the first rows of parking and the sick and injured have to walk/roll through gravel further out.
