DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A PROBLEM YOU WANT AN ANSWER TO! Been to Swedish 4 times in the last 2 weeks with extreme stomach pain and chest pain with other symptoms. All 4 times I was left alone in my room for over an hour at a time. I would call for the nurse and it would take at least 20-30 min for them to chime in through to speaker asking what I needed then another 30 min for someone to actually come in. Yesterday I went to my regular doctor where they did an ekg and something came up very abnormal , they called 911 and I was rushed to Swedish with the same extreme pains. Once I was hooked up to just about everything for monitoring I was left alone In a freezing cold room for hours at a time. I called for the nurse multiple times as my heart rate monitor was beeping as if something was off and no one came for at least an hour. The er doctor himself told me he had no answer for me after doing just blood work. I was there for 4 hours and they literally did nothing. Was given Tylenol for my headache and a GI cocktail for my chest pain which did not help. They told me theres nothing they can do and have no idea why I have these pains and LITERALLY told me Im getting discharged and they need the room for someone else. I told them i can in an ambulance and have no ride home they told me to wait in the lobby. I was shocked at how much they did not care to figure out what the problem was and pushed me out the door with the nurse and er doctor being extremely rude the entire time. Ill never go to Swedish again I was treated like absolute crap, even if Im having a heart attack I will Go somewhere else. Cannot believe how bad they treat people that are in pain and need an answer. Not to mention I told the nurse I hadnt eaten all day and the medicine was upsetting my stomach worse, they brought me a day old stale half a sandwich, which in my chart says this problem may be a gluten allergy. HOW STUPID CAN ONE PLACE BE.

I have been more than shocked and appalled at the care my family member has received. There were times when I had to change her bedding, empty her commode, continually report to the nurses issues she was having. There were a couple of instances while talking to a nurse directly he walked right out of the room mid sentence as If I didnt exist!! I had to go after him to get to him to change an order he stated he had already changed. These are only a few of the situations that have occurred. This is our loved one lying in a bed helpless, in pain, and starving for oxygen being treated as if she is not valued and at times not even existing. One nurse kept her drugged so she wouldnt bother her. Another complained about her calling her too much. Its not as if she is on her death bed in her 90s and that doesnt matter anyway, those people chose their professions to serve the ill. I would have been fired treating an elderly resident in a nursing home if I had behaved as these health care workers have. Its unconscionable. But, to give us a diagnosis and have us scrambling with searches and worry and then no one giving us further answers to only find out that it was not yet the truth, Im livid, to say the least. And the fact that I was given a definitive diagnosis, then later told the pathology report was not even back yet...WTF? This has been like a roller coaster ride from hell and my sisters well-being is in their hands. I would NOT recommend Swedish/Edmonds under any circumstances. Wish Id have read these other reviews before allowing a family member to be treated at this place.

Extremely inconsiderate staff. I went here at around 1 a.m. with my 2 year-old daughter whod suffered sunburn while staying at her grandmothers. She had a fever from the burn but my insurance companys help line said I should take her to the ER just in case. The hospital was empty and we were given an exam room to wait in. The nurse said shed get my baby juice... then vanished. A full hour passed before a different nurse came in to tell my wife and I she was "going to get that juice". By 2:30 am no juice, no doctor. I peeked out of the exam room and saw nurses in the adjoining room watching T.V., chatting, smiling, laughing. By now the baby has been a real good sport but shes getting cranky. Still no doctor. Finally by 3 am the doctor comes in, checks out the baby, and declares he wants to check her for a urinary tract infection using a catheder - even though its pretty clear she has a fever because of the sunburn! My wife and I agree to just up and leave at that point. They basically ignore us for two hours, then have the audacity to try and run a BS - and unecessarily invasive - test. When I got the bill for almost $300 for the visit (in which we were given a room for 2 hours, no juice, and less than three minutes with a "doctor", plus no tests or anything), I felt I had to write. Swedish/Edmonds, you really, really suck.

Yesterday I had to pull over and fainted. When I faint (this happens every time I faint since 2013) I have convulsions. I KNOW when they happen because of difference I feel from just fainting. I called 911 and the EMTs got their very quickly. I told them about the convulsions and that my doctor considered them MILD seizers. Over and over again these EMTs told me "No, thats not what happened." They made me feel crazy about knowing my own body. I got sent home with a sheet that at the very bottom of the "reasons you should seek immediate medical attention" for Syncope is if I have shaking (seizers) when I faint. RIGHT ON THE PAPER. The EMTs told the nurse in the er I needed fluid, and it took 2.5 hours to even get her back in to get me fluids. So I am risking passing out again ALL ALONE for two hours without fluids. Then my boyfriend arrives and is forced to wait 30 min to come back and see me because NOBODY would tell him it was okay. Even after I asked twice in that time frame and I TOLD them he was on the way. The EMTs were also very unprofessional. As they rolled me in they made some frat boy jokes with some other EMTs there and then in my room while Im getting my IV (very nervous because Im also prone to faint with needles) the EMT guy was cussing at his damn iPad. HORRIBLE ER service and I wont be returning.

This is truly a terrible hospital which cant be saved by their re-branding. We took my father for really bad foot pain and once he finally got admitted to a room (which took nearly 24 hours) no one knew what was going on. We had called several times throughout the day with zero phone calls back. All the staff could do was read vague notes done by a doctor in the day at the ER (which apparently rotate within letters such as A, B, C, D, etc) so dont expect an actual assigned attending doctor. At night they only have one doctor who only is only there for "emergency" problems. The night staff wasnt the best either (except one of them who tried her best). We ended up transferring him to North West (which has its own issues but where my mom had great care a few months ago once she was admitted). You can really tell the difference between what is the newer Swedish part and the old Stevens hospital area. If the fancy new ER rooms are more comfortable versus the cramp upstairs regular semi-private rooms thats a bad sign. The convenience of being in south Snohomish County is not worth the care you will probably receive. A blue and white paint job can never save this place, it will always be Stevens.
