My uncle is in critical care currently. They told my aunt that he was dying tonight or tomorrow. She said her goodbyes and went home while he was taken to a last ditch effort dialysis treatment. We came in and hes awake and responsive to jokes (weak chuckle and smile). They are giving him treatment to try and raise his appetite. They are forcing him to use a bipap, which is technically life support, when hes stated he wants no such thing. When we asked nurse Susan on 2 in PCU because we were confused why they told my aunt he was at deaths door and she very rudely and unprofessionally told us she will not speak to us only people on the list which consists of him and his wife. He cannot speak. They told his wife he was dying so she is not someone we can just casually ask why they said one thing when hes acting another way. Susan ripped off his oxygen tubing to whee he grimaced in discomfort and then place the bipap poorly on his face causing unnecessary discomfort. As a hospital worker myself I fixed the placement. Susan was rude and unprofessional. If I saw this patient and family treatment in my own hospital I would personally contact our board and and director and have all consequences possible hit her immediately. If your family member is being seen by this woman (short, brown hair with graying, slightly larger) request a new nurse asap. Beg Portland hospitals for a bed.

This was the first time my husband and I have been to the cafe at good samaritan. The food was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Hubby said the general tsaos chicken was not really general tsaos chicken. It was aweful. The rice and veggies I got were nasty and mushy and not even warm the khalua pork was mediocre. I understand charging a bit for extra dressing woth your salad but charging for all of it seperately??? Who is going to eat salad without dressing? Dressing should come with the salad. And it was 18 bucks for just the 2 of us. We can eat for less than that at healthy fresh places like cafe yumm. This is unreasonable dont waste your time or money! Bring your own food. This crap food isnt even good enough for my dogs. Cant believe they are selling this for human consumption. They obviously just want people to eat there and end up in a room upstairs in one of the hospital beds! And the Healthcare at this hospital is just as bad

Sad to say that not only from MY experience, but also taking my husband to the e.r., they get you in quick but treat their patients like garbage. One time i went in severe pain from an infection and they just sent me home.. my husband was just recently there for a severe medical reason and they sent him home in terrible pain with nothing to help him sleep, or control his issues till he could see a regular doctor, after he didnt get better, i took him to the albany hospital, they were very much more willing to listen and help, and treat him. If i choose, i definitely will be going to albany hospital over corvallis ANYTIME. Oh and one more thing.. YOU NORMALLY wont even see an actual Dr. Their e.r. usually doctors dont show their faces. It seems like it is ran like a circus.

I have been visiting my fiancee at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis since December 15, 2012. I have never been in a hospital that has been as caring, efficient, and professional as the good people here. They have taken amazing care of my fiancee, and will continue to do so until he is healed. His room is always clean, the nurses are quick to respond to his needs. The surgeon has been there for him in all ways. The Hill Top Cafe has a great variety of meals to choose from you would be hard pressed to find a better tasting, reasonably priced meal anywhere else. The Healing Garden is a beautiful area to walk around or just sit on one of the many benches scattered throughout. My fiancee loves to walk down there, with his IV pole, and just unwind. It is very peaceful.

Dr. Spann and Nurse Dustin in the Emergency Department are the worst medical team I have ever met. I went to the hospital in September because of severe pain in my right flank. Nurse Dustin tried to draw blood and chased the vein in my arm causing me extreme pain and leaving me with a huge bruise. I was in pain and was left for over 1 1/2 hours without any relief. And I had to cry before they gave me Anything. Dr Spann is the coldest and most heartless doctor I have ever met. He made it clear he did not want to answer my questions and was in a hurry to get me out of there. I would not take my dog to this Emergency Room. Go to Eugene or Albany!

Wasting 3 and a half hours in the ER with a severe back injury only to be told they only use their MRI machine if youve lost control of your bowels or youve lost feeling in your limbs is one of the dumbest things Ive ever been through, why have that ridiculously expensive piece of equipment if your not going to use it. You have the patient in the room, youve said they need to have a MRI yet you tell them they will need to find a different DR. and schedule one thats possibly 2 to 3 weeks out.....doesnt make any sense at all to me, went hone in just as much pain as I arrived with and didnt get the much needed MRI.

I had my first ER experience ever last Sunday. I was bucked off a horse and in a lot of pain. Everyone at the ER was amazing, with great attitudes and good sense of humor. I truly appreciate you all, from intake to nursing and imaging staff. You all did your best to make me comfortable. Many thanks!

My sister came into the emergency room because she was in labor and they got her into a room immediately. They have been so nice and informative and have been taking good care of my sister and her newborn. So thankful that we made it here! She is happy she had her child here.

I cant say enough positives about the care i received in the corvallis er. Great staff, and I was taken care of in the most thorough and compassionate way. I only wish I lived locally so this could be my home hospital. Kudos to an excellent staff, from techs to Drs.

Not only were the desk people seriously rude but they were refusing to update me on anything i asked. I even asked the doctor and he was confused as to why they had kept the info from me when it was my client that was admitted

This hospital sent me a $100 copay/deposit for my wife even though we did not receive Emergency Services as we had to let them know we had to get home after waiting in the Emergency Room lobby for hours.
