I wish I could give this hospital zero stars. I took my 2 year old into the walk-in clinic, upon recommendation from the front desk, for a possible broken leg. We waited 30 minutes in the lobby, then another 30 minutes in the room until finally the doctor came in. After 2 minutes we were sent then to x-ray and waited another 30 minutes. They proceeded to grab his broken leg where it was fractured, turn him and his leg, all while my child was screaming in pain and now frantic because he was terrified of being hurt by the doctor again. Once we were finally back in the room, we waited over 45 minutes for the doctor to come in and tell us he had broken his leg but they couldnt splint it and then threw an unfamiliar disease into the mix with an already frazzled mother. Not once did they say they had to send x-rays to another hospital to be read for a broken bone until my mother finally asked after being at the hospital with minimal news for over 3 hours at this point! I had to ask for tylenol for my child after 4 hours, and finally asked for the x-rays to be placed on a disk so I could take my child elsewhere to be treated. There were so many things wrong with this visit: They wanted my child to be weighed and measured by STANDING on his broken leg. They wiggled his leg while he was screaming not to touch it. They told me he had Rickets disease and thats why he broke his leg, and then walked out of the room (which he does not have--saw a specialist in Portland and they told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with his bones in formation or density). They told me he broke his FIBIA when in actuality he broke his TIBIA. Very different. They sent me for 8 x-rays of both legs--unnecessary exposure to radiation! This only names a few of the problems I had while seeking help for my 2 year old! Word of advice, GO TO PORTLAND and see someone at Randalls Childrens Hospital (Emmanuel) where they actually know what they are talking about with broken bones, dont terrify a mother with an unknown disease, expose you and your child to unneeded tests and radiation, and actually get your child treated in a timely manner!

If your heart, kidneys, liver, etc. fail, dont come here. I waited 3 hours in a dead ER waiting room listening to staff laughing before I was finally "seen." The basic recommended standard of medical care does not even exist here. I was given 2 of 10 recommended immediate tests for cardiac damage. No questions asked, no information taken, no oxygen for breathlessness, no nurse attendance at any time. NO CARE! NO ONE HERE CARES! THERE WERE NO MEDICAL STANDARDS OBSERVED, RIGHTS OF PATIENT SAFETY OR BASIC HUMANITY PRACTICED by anyone at anytime on me. I WAS SHOCKED & DEVASTATED BY THIS EVENT! I have a mult-stroke background, but the doctors here REFUSE OUTSIDE CRITICAL MEDICAL RECORDS! Even then, with a very Abnormal ECG... (especially when compared to my normal outside medical ECGs,) new arrythmia, chest pain, off the charts bloodwork, kidney failure, dizziness, vision loss & weakness--they sent me home without a care or even an aspirin. The Damage is now disabling. How close to DEATH do you have to register for any care here? To quote my young female doc, "The ER is not the place to come if you want to feel better." Huh? Wow! My primary doctor & clinic walk-in nurse urged me repeatedly in writing, to go to the ER if my emergency symptoms got WORSE. I never go to the ER... Finally in desperation, I went. Only to be sent home in critical condition & a lecture that I seek care FROM MY PRIMARY DOCTOR! OMG! Something is Scary wrong here.

Only giving a 1 star because there is no option for 0. Worst experiences ever! If youre dying drive to Portland! When I was pregnant I went into the ER over 10 different times and every time they told me that Im overreacting and its part of being pregnant. They were always rude and then started to get worse towards me. I was having episodes where I would pass out and have a seizure no. I was not getting oxygen to my brain. It was not till I was 9 months along I finally went to OHSU to see the OB-GYN specialist. The doctors there told me that I should not be driving and that he has never heard of this before(what was going on with me). I even had an experience where after sitting in the exam room for an hour, the doctor came in, no name tag on, sat down and did NOT introduced herself, and tell me Im making this all up. That nothing was wrong with me. And she wont help me! Then even though I was on OHP they keep calling me trying to get me to pay them. OHP said they will cover it however when I give the hospital my info, few days later they call saying they never got my information. That was over a year ago. I still get calls.

I Would Not Likely Be Alive Today Without Providence Seaside Hospital. Originally admitted late December 2016 and placed in ICU, emergency transported to Providence Portland ICU with a total time spent on full life support in ICU being 11 days prior to return back to Provident Seaside with a total time spent of twenty-one or twenty-two consecutive days in their highly capable care. None of the doctors expected me to walkout alive, feeling that there was just no possible way due to the critical nature of an existing respiratory/heart condition which had taken virtually everything from me. The incredible and extreme compassion, coupled with the unyielding resolve of the doctors and those precious, ever present nurses just never stopped trying inspite of all odds stacked against me. With Gods help and through the heroic efforts and profound dedication of these incredible people, I am obviously still alive more than one year later and counting. My personal sense of gratitude and absolute thanks at every level is far in excess of what I can manage to convey through words alone.

I have had nothing but problems with this clinic. They left me in an emergency room for over 2 1/2 hours in horrible pain, crying and begging for them to help me and not once did they check on me until my husband called them and asked what was going on, then they brought me the phone to talk to him. They scam you as far as billing and say they will work with you as far as billing but they stop sending you bills then when you finally get one its two to three times more than your billing planning was and they threaten to send you to collection if full amount isnt paid on time. Theyre doctors and staff are very unpleasant and in personable. Everything is always the clients fault and prescriptions are screwed up every time you call in for a refill. Do not recommend this clinic, ER or hospital to anyone. I am due to have a baby anytime and am a stressed out nervous wreck for my baby and I both. Wish there were other options to go to in the area definately will be switching to Astoria or driving the two hours to Portland instead after baby is born. Good luck all!

I want to publicly commend and thank Dr. Jonathan Lindgren, our emergency room nurse, Carly, the receptionist and the pharmacy staff at Providence Seaside Hospital. We brought my mother in with severe pain in her back and leg. She has been struggling for some time with back injury and residual pain. We were vacationing in Seaside for the 4th of July and the hospital was very busy with all kinds of emergency cases. Despite the busy situation, we received outstanding care for mom. The doctor was very patient, listened to all of us, not just Mom, and gave us great care. His compassion was very touching. Carly was also amazing. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and very caring. The receptionist who registered Mom was one of the most polite, patient and understanding I have ever encountered in such a situation. The pharmacy was also very patient and helpful, as we had some insurance challenges to work around for the prescriptions. I cant praise Providence Seaside Hospital highly enough. Thanks for such a great job!
