I have a three year old existing injury that is still painful to this day because of the negligence and ignorance of the staff at this hospital. I broke a small bone in my foot from jumping into a shallow pool. Upon arriving at the hospital I told the doctor that my foot was obviously broken. It had swollen twice the size, and was excruciatingly painful. I got an x-ray and an exam from the doctor. My first clue that the doctor didnt know what he was doing was that he tried to force me to walk on my foot. He insisted i step down on it even though I told him I was in extreme pain and could not. This was before they even got the x-ray back. After they got the x-ray, they said my foot was NOT broken. In-fact it was, I learned when they called me THREE DAYS LATER after looking at it a second time. After the three days had passed I came back to be treated. The doctor gave me a boot, to which I said that it felt like my foot was being pulled down, which obviously would be a bad thing to be doing for a fractured bone. He didnt listen, again. So, I wore the boot for the time he told me to wear it, about one month. I went back in after that time, feeling a little better. One day after the boot was off, I was in pain again. I went to the doctor the next day and told him that I was still in pain and didnt believe I was healed. He acted like I was lying, he was extremely condescending, and basically told me he couldnt do anything for me and suggested I go to someone else. I did, I went to Portland, I got another x-ray. By this time about three months had passed since the injury. The x-ray revealed that MY BONE WAS STILL FRACTURED. The doctor that originally treated me tried to make me walk on a broken foot, told me it wasnt broken, then when he realized it was broken he treated it incorrectly which resulted in an injury that should have been healed in one month, still not healed after FOUR. Because this doctor mistreated me from the very beginning this injury still is painful today, it healed wrong because he did not listen to a word a said the whole way through. Ive been told by another doctor that because of my original doctors mistreatment, I would have to re-break the bone and go through the healing process again. He also said I probably have nerve damage because I was treated with a boot when I clearly shouldnt have been. Ive never gone back to this hospital again and Ive heard similar stories about their radiology department. If you want to heal properly please do not go to this hospital! I now only go to Seaside hospital and they always listen and actually follow correct procedures for injuries, which I feel is not too much to ask from a HOSPITAL.

Went to the Emergency Department 2 weeks before my most recent visit. The instructions I got said to follow up with the E.R. if my problem didnt go away. I did and the Dr. there named Brenda S. was unfortunately the Dr. I got. she was very rude and disrespectful. (my visit was from some post pardom issue I have been having), I had my 2 month old daughter there with me) This woman or man whatever she claims to be had the nerve to tell me I was a pill seeker and that because I was there it was raising questions of how I was taking care of my child. One thing you should never do to a woman with post partom depression is imply she is a bad mother. First thing I do Monday is contacting her immediate supervisor. If you get this woman as your Dr. you should ask for someone more professional.

I visited the CMH ER on Memorial Day weekend. Although the ER was very busy for a Sunday, they appeared to be fully and capably staffed. Due to the various tests that were needed, and the necessary wait time for test results, I was there for several hours. I was amazed that everything was handled so professionally by every staff member and the ER doctor who dealt with my case. Every single person who took care of me, from the receptionist, to the various members of the nursing staff, to the XRay technician, and the doctor was concerned and considerate. I have never dealt with an ER doctor, whether as a family member or patient, who was more thorough. Thanks all for a great experience!

I received an injury at work that required a few stiches. The company I work for has excellent insurance. At the time of the incident I filled out all the proper paperwork and supplied them with all the necessary workers comp info. That was in August. Its now been six months and despite numerous calls from myself, my companys HR and the insurance company they still cant figure out the billing. I have been threatened with fines and collections the entire time. I have heard from other people similar stories. My advice if you get injured and dont plan to pay with cash is to go elsewhere.

Never had a good experience. They literally mess something up every time i went in. ESPECIALLY WHILE I WAS 9 MONTHS PREGNANT! WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR "FORGETS" TO SIGN YOUR PRESCRIPTION!?!?!! ISNT THAT THE WHOLE POINT?! So here I was several hours later, super pregnant, and with a thrown out back having to drive back to Astoria to this joke of a hospital to get it signed..yeah, way to go cmh. You guys have really stepped it up over the years..

I was so impressed with this place I cant tell you enough. I was in and out of the er in record time. They were fast, polite, simple and was able to immediately rectify my problem. The doctor(Hardy I believe was his name) was informative, gave me options, then got right to work. No changing rooms, no explaining my problem 5 times. The best experience Ive had at a hospital in twenty years probably.

I had my first child at Columbia Memorial. The staff is friendly and attentive. I was put in the "storage" room due to the high volume of births that night. It was annoying because it was right next to the back exit/entrance so people were going in and out at all hours. Great food though. I will definitely be returning if I am in need of their services.

just had a colonoscopy at CMH today. Could not have went better from the pre op appt in the pavilion to the check out after the op. Surgeon was Van Dusen, who was great, but the whole team was excellent. Had a procedure at CMH around ten years ago that was "not good". I think they have made some upgrades in alot of areas since then.

I had a procedure done at this hospital and it all went very well. The nursing staff was very kind and compassionate, and I felt like I was treated very well. I got a call the next day to see how I was recovering and if I had any questions. I was also able to fill my prescriptions before I left!
