I was ready to put my sick dog down 2.5 weeks ago. Both vets I spoke with before calling Dr. Cinda Scott were ready to euthanize him. Im taking him in today to finally let him go, but Dr. Scott made him feel SO much better with some simple inexpensive meds. We knew it was a short term fix, but it worked. Instead of a traumatic euthanasia with my dog & I both frightened & alone at an emergency vet while my husband was out of town, we had our happy guy back just a little longer. We had friends who know & love him come by for an afternoon & he was so cheery to see everyone. Im unbelievably heartbroken that Im loosing my dear little friend, but Im also eternally grateful for these last few days. He felt like going outside a bit, played a bit of tug o war with his big boxer girlfriend & ate whatever he wanted until his appetite stopped a couple of days ago. This time to say goodbye was priceless. Im so grateful for the practical simple treatment that wasnt about trying to pinpoint the exact diagnosis- regardless of the exact details there is no scenario where hes not terminal- she treated my dog & me in ways that were best for us. My childhood horse vet was the only vet Ive encountered that even comes close to how well Dr. Scott "gets it." I found her in desperation & Im now moving all 4+ animals over to her from Newberg- who didnt even bother to call me back after desperately trying to reach them for 2 solid days. On the contrary, Ive received periodic texts & calls from her just checking in on us. Very reasonably priced too... Which is always helpful with multiple animals &/or when faced with such a ferocious disease.

Springwater Vet , in short, is an incredible resource for those whove tried everything and still have an ill pet. Thats the short end of it. The long end is that we were referred to Dr. Scott by a friend who runs an animal sanctuary. Right away, that told us we would be seeing a compassionate vet who could work with out limited budget. Dr. Scott is so much more. Weve taken our cat to 11 vets over the past 6 years for a reoccurring deep ear infection. Three of the vets were allergy/ear specialists and one was a neurologist. Shes had a few thousand dollars of procedures and testing done, which left us with little money and only more questions. The next step was to do an $1,800 MRI. Wow. We are committed to our cat, but this was all too much. We scheduled a visit with Dr. Scott and our first visit gave us something wed lost: hope. Dr. Scott took the time to fully understand our cats history, symptoms, and personality, as well as our needs/limits as pet moms. She has asked all the right questions and is piecing them together in a way no other vet has. She is *very* resourceful, creative, and pragmatic - something no other vet has been with our extremely difficult case. Our cats neurological issues are resolving from her effort. Amazing! It is apparent Dr. Scott loves the heck out of animals and takes each case to heart while being mindful of our financial limits. If you live in Portland, it is WELL worth the drive. I cant recommend her enough.

Dr, Scott has been our vet over the years and has always provided amazing support to our family. Her knowledge and experience has allowed my husband and I feel like we are always making the right decisions for our dogs. Dr. Scott has not only provided excellent care for our golden retrievers (over the 8 years we have known her), but has advised us along the way how to maintain holistic alternatives for our pups. She also connected us to an amazing Specialist to treat a serious TPLO injury for our Irish setter. Who has now full recovered. I would highly recommend Dr. Scott. Thank you for all your support and expertise, Vanessa lovert

Dr. Cinda Scott is one of the most compassionate, attentive, thorough veterinarians I have ever known. She really does care about her patients and their owners and treats every one of them with sincere kindness and respect. She has an excellent bedside manner and will really take the time to get to know you and your pet.

The combination of traditional animal medicine and acupuncture is hard to beat. Dr. Scott obviously has a large depth of experience and enormous care for the animals she treats.
