My girlfriend had her tooth extracted there. I was instructed to wait there for her, as the driver. About half way through the surgery the nurse called me back and said she was done. Upon entering the exam room the Surgeon, by the name of Dennis Johnson began yelling at me, saying that my girlfriend bit his finger during the surgery and he never wanted to see her again. He repeatedly raised his voice exclaiming she did this intentionally, she was very nonconplient and that we both need to get out of his office and find a new oral surgeon. Mind you my girlfriend, Amy was under anesthesia at this time in the operating chair, not even conscious yet. I asked him how on Earth it could have been intentional with her being sedated, but he just muttered and stammered then left the room. As hilarious as it was for both me and Amy to laugh about afterwards, we felt as if there may have been more behind it then we were made aware of. Also come a day later we found out he left part of her tooth still in her mouth. Dr. Johnson seemed very unprofessional, although I never was able to get the full story so Im not sure. Either way, yelling at the patients driver isnt very nice. My recommendation is to be careful, and not "bite" Dr. Johnsons finger when youre sedated at his clinic. Otherwise he might flip out again!

After reading several positive reviews about Gentle Dental in Oregon, I decided I would give them a try. I am new to the area and wasnt sure where to go for my little emergency with my back tooth. I called on a Friday and they were able to "squeeze" me in on the following Tuesday for a consultation, exam/xrays (everyone knows how long it takes for dentist apts.. this was amazing). I was greeted by a friendly office staff and the paper work was quick. I was seen almost immediately and they were not only able to do the consultation but were even able to to the extraction for me. Dr. Nguyen was extremely kind and was always asking if I was comfortable and to let her know If I wasnt at any point. She was amazing, very kind and caring as well as her assistant. I have never been so pleased with a Dentist in my life! She even called me before she left at the end of the day to see if I was doing ok! Who does that anymore?? I would Give Gentle Dental and Dr. Nyguyen 10 stars if I could. Wonderful experience

I made an appointment specifically to deal with a chipped tooth, conceding to a (likely needed) cleaning as well over the phone. At my visit, only the cleaning was performed. I was told to schedule a second appointment for the chip to be fixed, as the dentist was "very behind" and did not have time for me. This was very frustrating, as this was the primary reason (agreed to over the phone) for my visit. Medical office personnel need to understand that working people can not just make appointments at the drop of the hat; in most cases, people take the whole day off for a checkup, especially when scheduled in the middle of the day. In my case, I do not live within driving distance and cannot agree to another visit with my chaotic schedule. Very disappointed in Gentle Dental, this was very unprofessional and cost me time, money, and the labor of travel.

Made an appointment because I had severe tooth pain and they werent very helpful. I called June 2nd and they couldnt get me in until July 12th. I stressed that the pain was pretty unbearable and she said she didnt know what to tell me and that I could keep calling and maybe they could get me in earlier. Well, I get a text the next day telling me that my new appt is on July 19th. I was pretty furious considering they didnt even ask if they could push my appt further when I was in that much pain. So, I called Aspen and they got me in the same week. I called Gentle to cancel my appt and they told me that it had already been cancelled. What the heck? This place is a mess. Good thing I didnt wait on them or I would have been completely screwed and miserable. Watch out! Apparently their office people have no idea what theyre doing.
