I took our nana here last year. She does not have dental coverage so she asked for assistance and was denied. Long story short, we come back a year later and is approved. She had the remaining teeth pulled while under sedation. When we left she was still groggy and there was no wheel chair to get her to the car. Really?? The assistant and I end up basically carrying nana out the door to the car! I read and signed post op instructions, but they didnt give us a copy to take home. I had to call and beg them to get it emailed to me and print it myself. I also signed to agreement to have the procedure done, I still dont have a copy of that! They didnt prepare us to have a next day appointment so I had to scramble to get her a ride to the appointment. (Nana doesnt drive and she was on heavy pain killers) A week later the new denture is poking in places and causing sores so I make an appointment to get them adjusted. We show up a few minutes early get signed in and sit to wait. 15 minutes later were told she doesnt have an appointment! They were nice enough to work her into the schedule. But really it all boils down to a very bad experience! I Do Not Recommend Aspen to anyone!

I much prefer a dentist office, you get more personalized treatment. A year ago, one of the dentists put a cap on one of my lower teeth. It is near the front. The cap didnt come to the gum line. He didnt tell me he was making it that way, but after it was done and showed it to me ask him about it and he said he doesnt like to cover up all of a good tooth. I left very disappointed and as the year has progressed and it is noticeable when I smile, I went back to ask them to make it right. The dentist I saw, who was a different one, got real defensive and said " well it doesnt look as bad as the one behind it". She said she wouldnt take off a perfectly good cap, but she would put some cement on it and blend it down to my gum. The cement she used was a different color and it doesnt really look any better. I will never go back there and from most of the other comments here it looks like you would do good to avoid them. I only went there because they were on the list of dental choices for insured dentists with my insurance.

My rating would be a negative 5 stars!!!!!! Dont go to this place!!! Their work is incomplete and they make promises that they do not keep!!!! Communication with any of them or their departments is non-existent, if it happens, its incorrect!! So tired of dental places like this!! I remain in pain, with an infection in my gums - they had prescribed anti-biotics because they had to change my appointment out a couple of weeks. Ran out of the anti-biotics before the tooth was pulled, asked for a refill - the answer was, we will pull the tooth, if there are still problems then we will call in a prescription for you, no problem. Called to get that - the answer was No, doctor needs to see you. I consider this lying to a patient, leaving them in pain, asking for the cost of yet another office visit and time off work to do so!!! Dont fall into this mess, youve been warned!!! Good luck to you!! The other reviews are accurate as well!!

HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!!! Aspen Dental is Salem is one of the dentists on your list. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!! I was sedated for my appointment and as soon as I was out of the chair I was immediately set down in front of the Office Manager who was running my credit to finance $5567 worth of dental work. NOT ONCE DID SHE ASK IF I HAD DENTAL INSURANCE. I didnt really realize what she had done until I received a credit card in the mail for use only at Aspen Dental. When I asked for a breakdown of the cost I was given a 3 page list of charges. It looked like I was being charged 17 times for the same procedure and 14 for another, etc. When I asked for a breakdown of how many appointments, what would happen at each appointment and the charge for each appointment I have never heard from the Office Manager again. I have emailed her 3 times to get this information and have not heard a word from her.

Terrible experience with office staff and flexibility. I have a unpredictable schedule, and when able to make an appointment it is truly one of the only times I can come in. This office cancelled on me once with a few days notice, and luckily I could reschedule to a date close to my appointment. My rescheduled appointment was cancelled with less than 30 minutes notice. It took strong words to just come in and get X-rays done and no cleaning. Then when attempting to reschedule, I was told there were no openings for over a month. So they cancel on me twice (with very little notice) and then are completely inflexible when trying to find a new time to make it in. Additionally, I never even received an apology for the two cancellations and the front office staff was quite rude. Will no longer return to Aspen Dental after this ordeal.

Very unprofessional. They changed my appointment day and time, then called the day of the appointment that they scheduled for me, and asked if they could delay it 6 hours. I reminded them that they had chosen this changed time for me, I had accommodated them in my schedule, but to wait for the later time would not work for me. I made the 25 mile trip to the office for the time they had rescheduled me for, but upon arrival, they told me they were unable to accommodate me because of a double booking, and I would have to wait the 6 hours. I asked why they didnt switch the conflicting appointment since they had already changed my time once, and their answer was that the other persons time had been change twice already! Needless to say, I found another dentist!

not impressed. I have no dental insurance- thats why I went to Aspen.... after running a credit check, I was denied assistance.... Duh! but whats the deal with emphasizing u have extended financing when u clearly leave people hanging! speaking of which: was left to wait for Dr. for over an extra 45 mins, assistant did use gloves to open tools, however, I did get the distinct feeling that things were "grungy" in general... easy cross-contamination when gloves r used for all people being seen at essentially the same time. Gross! While people were friendly I couldnt help but wonder just what kind of three-month course they took to get credentials- not exactly what I would imagine as a "professional" practice as a "quick set-up" in a strip-mall. lame!

The hygienist that was on her last day at Keizer and was going to Albany to work was very friendly and helpful. The dental assistant was very nice and so was the Dentist!! So sorry I am bad with names! My appointment was on January 27, 2016. The receptionist was very friendly also. I had a lot done that day to my teeth and it took along time! It was a lot cheaper for me than the private practice dentist. I appreciate the work and taking time to make sure I had a medication I was allergic too! Thanks, Yvette Warrington
