I went to Gentle Dental for years but finally had to literally walk out. The dental hygienist refused to clean my teeth because I didnt want an annual set of bite wing x-rays. There are a number of studies linking increased dental x-rays (especially bite wings and pans) to cancer and I wanted to error on the side of caution. I was willing to get x-rays but not that frequently. The hygienist REFUSED to clean my teeth. I believe the patient should be able to limit a potentially dangerous procedure and still get their teeth cleaned. I believe a DDS should be making medical decisions not a hygienist. The dentists were ok and competent, but I was very disappointed in the quality of a $3000+ implant. It didnt look at all natural (I should have gone to a specialist). The office is old and dingy. The front staff repeatedly got mad at me when I informed them I responded to two text messages and an email, saying I would come to my next appointment. But they still called me at work to confirm. I would recommend going elsewhere. Rob

I asked them three times before making an appointment if I needed money down with my insurance and they promised me I did not. After I filled out my paperwork the same women I asked about billing over the phone came up to me with a bill for over a hundred bucks just to be seen. This screw up cost me a day off, cab fair, and an appointment with a free service that would have seen me yesterday. I asked a few people and apparently they do this often.

Reader, ask for Dr. Merzenich if you want the absolute best dentist in the state. I cant speak for any other dentists that work here because I wont let anyone else work on my teeth as Im very particular about doctors and dentists, but if youre fortunate enough to have Dr. Merzenich you are in the best hands possible. Theres also a hygienist named Laurie who does brilliant work in cleaning teeth. Those two in combo produce superior results.

Fantastic! Never have I been more happier with my experience. Everyone knows there job and they do it well. They take my discount card through Carrington 500. The amount I save is over $1000. Now thats a savings and its all printed for you the original price and then you pay the discount price, which is really good Most of the discount is over 50 -6O% . Thank you again Gentle dental

Ive been going here for 6+ years and have been in their orthodontics for 3.5 years. The facility is outdated and the assistants are amateur at best. THEY LITERALLY HAD TO GOOGLE HOW TO USE THE X RAY MACHINE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. The only reason I still attend this office is to finish my orthodontics and then I am GONE. No way I would ever reccomend this gentle dental to anyone.

Could not be happier with the service or the pricing. Going to the dentist is never fun but I have to admit this was my easiest visit yet. Had 2 fillings and a cleaning done. Everyone was very polite and professional. I had ZERO discomfort. And that is saying something because I have the pain tolerance of a 7 year old.

Dr. Afshar was a kind and patient dentist but after ~1.5 hours trying to build a crown prep he suddenly left the office after a quick goodbye! His dental assistant had to finish the crown prep! So far its holding okay but I hope it will maintain for the 2 weeks until my next appointment! Dr. David Olson, M.D.

Diane is a great Hygenist. Front desk is friendly and they offer a dental club insurance that saves on the costs for those without dental insurance from work.
