Last summer our puppy (7 months at the time) was brought in for an evaluation. He had been limping for some time, without any evidence of trauma. Immediately, upon entering Sunstone, we were warmly greeted and made comfortable. The environment is very comfortable, with little extraneous stimulus; calm environment = calm pup. Sarah (front desk) was wonderful. She answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns in detail. Dr. Su was our consulting surgeon and was proficient, compassionate and honest. I appreciated her directness in describing Charlies situation and needs (he had developed a growth on his right femoral head that was impeding growth and movement; he required surgery). She was very sweet to Charlie and took time to listen to my concerns and address any worries I had. She was upfront about cost, prognosis, and her procedures. Charlie went in for surgery and, after a lengthy recovery, is running and jumping around pain-free. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive and treated Charlie like family - something that is so important to me. While I am hopeful to not need to request their surgical services again, we would without a doubt return and recommend them to anyone who required the services they offer.

Dr. Su and the staff at Sunstone Veterinary Specialists are incredibly passionate about their patients and the people who love them. I came in to see Dr. Su an emotional wreck after seeing three other veterinarians who gave me nothing but negative prognoses and I had pretty much lost hope on saving my dog who suddenly became paralyzed in his back legs at only age four- as many dachshund and other long-backed dogs are unfortunately prone to. The atmosphere was very calming and comforting and Marie the office manager was so kind and understanding. She treated me like family and made me feel like I was leaving my loved one in good hands. My pup is still recovering from his surgery but is doing so well. I am glad that I went to Sunstone as they did a fantastic job with him and continue to be available to answer any questions I have day or night as my dog heals. Dr. Su also recommended a fantastic physical therapist for continued rehabilitation and I am so grateful for that. I could not say enough about the appreciation I have for Dr. Su and the team at Sunstone Vet Specialists. The treated my boy like family and I will be forever grateful for that. Thank you so much Sunstone!

Dr Elliott went above and beyond for our best buddy, Takoda. He started having a nosebleed and we had taken him to our primary vet. It turned out to be a tumor in his nose. Dr Elliott helped us coordinate his care before he even saw him in the office. He was actually across the country at a conference and was communicating with our primary vet, and arranging care for us. He spent so much time on the phone with us discussing options and then on the phone with specialists from the vet school where we decided to take him for radiation treatment. He was getting back to me with results before the main vet office did. He was calling the lab to bug them for results ....He is amazing. Nobody wants to wait when they are waiting to hear if their family member has cancer. We are forever grateful. Takoda got the radiation treatment and is doing great. We will never go to anyone else for any issues that come up with our dogs. We trust him more than any vet or human Dr. we have ever seen. I am a primary care Dr for humans....if only we had more Drs in the world like him!

Thank you Dr. Elliott and Dr. Su! This past April, our 3-year-old fawn Doberman Isabel was seen at your Sunstone Vet clinic for perplexing recurrent UTIs which shed had her entire life. Dr. Elliott astutely honed in on the specific cause of the problem--a type of congenital anomaly--then kindly and clearly explained to my wife and I the rationale, our options and expected outcomes. We went forward with surgery for Isabel and Dr. Sus great work speaks for itself--to this date, more than half-a-year later, Isabel hasnt had any return of symptoms of her problem! She recovered well without complications and we greatly appreciated the staffs reassuring updates during Isabels overnight stay before returning home. We are truly thankful for your skill and dedication. We and Isabel are very happy! Best, Jesse and Chrystal Kelso, WA

My cat, T-Bone, means the world to me. When he stopped eating and wasn’t feeling well my vet recommended an internal medicine specialist for an ultrasound. Im not normally the type to write reviews but I was so impressed with the care he received I want to spread the word. They were able to get us in right away and our entire visit was wonderful! The hospital is clean, beautiful and comfortable. I think my cat was more relaxed because they are so calm and quiet. The entire staff was friendly and caring. Dr. Elliot was extremely kind and compassionate, its clear he loves his job. He spent a long time talking to us about what was happening with T-Bone and how we could help him now and how we can manage his condition in the future. The good news is T-Bone is doing much better- thanks to the excellent care he received. If we need more help in the future Ill definitely go back to Sunstone Veterinary Specialists!

My regular vet recommended the Sunstone clinic because my dog was very sick and she needed to see a specialist. Upon entering , I was greeted very professionally and kindly by the receptionist. After I short wait, my husband and myself were taken back with our dog to speak to Dr. Elliotts technician. She was very thorough, succinct, and friendly. Before examining her, Dr. Elliott explained in detail the possible causes of her illness, which included ones that were fixable and ones that were more dire. he was very professional, kind, compassionate, and pragmatic. When the prognosis was given, and I realized it was not good, he helped me through a very difficult decision and outcome. He made sure that I made the decision myself armed with all of the knowledge and statistics about every possible option. He cared about my animal and our family and that is all I can ask for.

My husband and I took our dog to Sunstone Veterinary Clinic after our regular Vet found her to have elevated pancreatic enzymes. She had not been eating or drinking and had bloody diarrhea. She had already received supportive care with IV fluids. When we first got to Sunstone, we were greeted warmly. The atmosphere was calming, the clinic beautiful, and the staff very caring. Our pup saw Dr. Josh Elliott, an Internist who was very thorough and our normally nervous dog was quite at ease in his care. We found Dr. Elliott to be very knowledgeable, and also reassuring. He explained things to us in great detail, and answered our many questions, alleviating our fears. We knew we were in the care of a very special group. Our dog did get better and she is thriving. This clinic is specialized and highly skilled. I recommend them with the highest of confidence.
