I was concerned about getting the auto darkening as I had it when it was new technology in the 70s and hated it. I expressed my concern and was assured that if there was any problem, I could just bring them back. At no time did any one say that it can take 3 to 4 minutes to revert. So I ordered them with the auto dark. During my exam I told the Doc that I had had problems in the past with prescription glasses that didnt quite work for me because my eyes seemed to want to compensate during the exam. He assured me that if I had any problem, all I need to do was bring my glasses back. When I received my glasses I expressed my concerns again. They seemed awful strong. I was told that it would take time for my eyes to adjust and was told to try them for a while and if I did not like them I could just bring them back. Brought them back to day and while they were making the sale before they were all sweetness and light. Today they were stern and firm with their denial of my request for new lenses that would work for me. Supposed to get a call from the someone in charge tomorrow, but well see... .

I have always found this office to be very efficiently ran. You are welcome out front as soon as you enter the doors. They get you verified and set up to see the doctor very quickly. Somebody quickly does the pre-doctor exam testing and you are off to see the doctor who does not keep you waiting. The doctor exercises both great patience and double checks results for accuracy. If the order fulfillment people see great changes when writing up the order for your lenses, they dont just accept what was given to them they make certain that is checked. The result is a pair of trifocals that I can actually see well out of and live with by being my somewhat abnormal normal self. Thanks for a good job and good service. John Layson

I love Mid Columbia Vision Center. They are curtious on the phone when you call, and you dont have to wait weeks and weeks for an appointment. The staff is friendly and professional; they "get" what good costumer service means. You are greeted with warmth when you enter the office and the ladies in the front are helpful and kind. The Optometric Technician who worked with me was awesome and very prompt. I enjoy Dr. Haynes and have seen him several times. There is a great selection of glasses, and its fun to look through them and try on different pairs. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I too feel I had been taken advantage of by a local eye clinic (who will remain nameless, but Im sure they have a CASCADE of clients who had this experience). Mid-Columbia Vision Center has treated me like family. Very welcoming and patient with someone who has never had glasses before. I didnt understand the lingo or the rules, but they have taken their time to teach me proper care and usage of my new glasses. Fine people and truly concerned for their patients.

My 10 year old daughter and I both had a great experience at Mid Columbia Vision Center! Very friendly staff and was so pleased with Dr. Haynes! They were there to help in any way they could without being pushy......so informative, encouraging and yet let me make the final decision. Also, picking out frames was such an easy process with the help of one of the staff! I would highly recommend this vision center to anyone looking for great, friendly service!

This place is awesome! Appointments available fast. They see you on time. My family has seen both Dr Haynes and LeBreton and both were extremely knowledgeable, professional yet super friendly. They took their time and answered all our questions. Staff is also very nice and caring. Definitely 1rst place for vision care in the Gorge!

Excellent experience! They make you feel like you are the only patient there. They are on time, accommodating, friendly, professional... Dr Haynes is very knowledgeable, takes his time and explains everything in easy to understand terms. Glasses have a warranty, with basically no questions asked. Ill never go anywhere else!

Ive seen Dr Perkins since I was ~7 years old, and hes always made my experience at the eye doctor a quick and comfortable one. The rest of the staff are all really friendly, too! Theyve also started texting appointment reminders, which I find very helpful and convenient!

I had a wonderful experience. I had the opposite reaction to this place as the other reviewer. It was the 3rd eye place Ive visted in the HR/ Dalles area and not only was the exam great BUT they found out that another place had ripped me off in the process!

The girls at the front were friendly and professional. The doctor was to the point in what I needed to do and Tracy his technician was just awesome! She helped me through the test I had to do and helped me pick out the frames that looked good on me.

Friendly staff, quick exam and check out. I got sunglasses billed through insurance here, but their frames for prescription glasses are a bit pricey. The value option starts around $80 just for frames.
