I started going to Canby Eyecare several years ago because they advertised their skill at dealing with memory care patients. At the time my 90-year-old mother was deep into Alzheimers and unable to understand simple commands, let alone report on her own experience. I was struck by the positive and energetic staff from the moment we entered, and watched in amazement as Dr. McFerron’s magical methods to communicate with and figure out a prescription for my confused Mom. I knew from that visit I would be a loyal patient. As the clinic added staff I was a bit hesitant to be seen by a new doctor, but found Dr. Malensky to be outstanding as well. I was sad when optician Grace left to be a Mom, but fell in love with Cinthya. I’m not sure how they maintain such a happy, helpful environment even through turnover, but my initial impression is reinforced with every visit. I suppose the true test of a business, though, is what happens to patient experience with something goes wrong. I selected new glasses last April and had trouble adjusting to them. The nose piece not only hurt my nose (even though adjusted four times), but kept the glasses so far from my face I had trouble seeing through the bifocal. I finally gave up and confessed I hated my new glasses. Without blinking an eye Cinthya did some research, helped me pick out new frames and worked behind the scenes to secure me a new pair of glasses in an unbelievable deal. I am forever grateful. I highly recommend this outstanding organization.

Dear Dr. McFerron, Thank you for the 2 big bottles of eye glass cleaner for my second grade classroom! They are great to use and very generous of you. On the day I brought them to school and explained that the kids could use them as needed and showed the boy with new glasses, in front of the whole class how to squirt some on each side and use the micro cloth to wipe them, all the students with glasses began asking to clean their glasses, nearly every day! This really raised the status of wearing glasses. I explained that it was not a squirt gun to spray everywhere, so we didn’t have trouble. Thank you again, Sheryl

I would describe Canby Eye Care as genuinely fabulous! Clean, bright, friendly environment. Reception staff is well informed, always friendly and helpful, eager to do a great job for their clients. Ive met with two different Doctors, both equally wonderful. Im in the process of purchasing contacts and just bought two pair of glasses from the "Frame Show" this past Monday. I highly recommend this business because of the quality of care, environment, and cost of products and services.

Canby Eyecare always takes care of me. I see them once a year for an exam for new lenses and, every other year, I see them for new frames. They are always patient and thourough and quick. Charged us for services not rendered and would not fix the problem. Insurance couldnt do anything about it because apparently office can label some things different to show an "accurate and legitimate" charge. NEVER going back!
