Ive been going to eye doctors for about 25 years and Ive never experienced anything as wonderful as what I experienced at Myoptic. Upon walking into the shop for the first time I was impressed with the great selection of frames available and at a really varied range of prices. They curate the selection really really well. All that aside, what truly made this the best experience ever was the staff. Everyone that I interacted with was great. Not just friendly, which they all were, but you can tell that they love their job, the really enjoy working with people and they want to help you out. Ive certainly been plenty of other places where this is not the case. Both Christina and Tristan were super helpful in assisting me with my frame selection. I loved that they were available and helpful but never lurking. It was great. Greg was awesome taking care of all the eye scanning stuff. He was wonderful to talk with and I could tell that hes doing something hes passionate about. Dr Summy was WONDERFUL! She was so warm and friendly, asking me about my son, talking to me like a person and not just a patient to get through. I had originally arranged to go to a different optometrist but when I couldnt find lenses at the other place decided to check Myoptic out and decided to make this my place, I am so glad that I did. I am so satisfied with Myoptic I will recommend it to everyone. If all that wasnt enough, they give a portion of their profits to charity and you get to choose what charity you want your portion to go to. How awesome is that. If youre looking for an eye doctor or new frames, do not hesitate to stop by, youll be so glad you did.

This store has some of the worst customer service/communication I have experienced, anywhere. I brought my glasses in to get the lenses replaced (as part of my warranty), and they put the wrong lenses in my frames. Instead of getting my glasses that day (Friday), I received them Tuesday. Why? Because 1.) their lab messed up my order, putting the wrong lenses in my frames 2.) they dont properly cross-train staff (instead of my glasses being ready on Monday, I had to pick them on Tuesday because the lab manager was out sick) and 3.) poor communication. To the third point - Alex had assured me hed let me know next steps when I stepped out of the store on Friday, but I didnt hear from it. I eventually had to call on Monday to get an update, and the lady I spoke with had no idea what had occurred. I followed up with Alex to express my dissatisfaction, and he said hed have the office manager call me to see if we could work something out. I never received that call. I think Myoptic carries a great frames, but this experience has proven just how poorly run their operations are. *Update 4/17 Summy followed up with me on this, letting me know that she had addressed these issues with her team. When we spoke, she was very understanding and took time to investigate more into what had happened. As a result of our conversation, she was able to give me half off of the next frames I purchase at Myoptic. Clear communication is what I had wanted all along and I finally got it - thanks Summy!

I largely choose to visit Myoptic when I realized I really was due for an eye exam because of the location. Soon after making an appointment I heard great reviews from a friend whod gone there. I have found every person Ive dealt with at Myoptic to be friendly, engaged, and very knowledgeable. They have a very nice selection of frames to choose from and the staff really knows how to help you pick the right frames for your prescription and your face! I also feel like Ive had the best examination and evaluation of my vision from the optometrist, Dr. Summy To, made great recommendations about my vision and eye health that Ive never heard from any other optometrist Ive seen. On top of all this excellent service Myoptic donate a part of all examination proceeds to one of four incredible Portland-based non-profits(Mercy Corps – Oregon Food Bank – Sustainable Northwest - Oregon Public Broadcasting) and you get to pick which charity receives your portion. The shop also is involved in collecting donations for the Childrens Book Bank, Milkmuny, and the Lions Club.

I dont write reviews often, but the service at Myoptic was so good want to say so publicly. I found nice glasses there and ask them to fill a prescription I already had from another optometrist. When I didnt like the way the prescription turned out they suggested re-measuring and re-making the glass, which I thought was helpful. When I still wasnt happy with the result they helped me figure out what was wrong with prescription, re-made the glasses a third time, and the result has been excellent vision and fit Im very happy with. Though I think my case is unusual the thing I found impressive was how insistent they were on making sure I was happy, and the consistency of the positive interaction I had with multiple different staff who just happened to be available on the days and hours I had the time to drop by the shop.

Excellent customer service, great selection, friendly optometrist, what more could you want? I had a complete eye exam, Dr. Summy To was warm, knowledgeable and even sent me home with some eye-betterment homework (which I actually appreciate!). Derek helped me pick out frames and didnt BS me when a pair didnt look right. I eventually chose a pair of beautiful Moonwoods frames, and Derek assisted the whole way through with getting the fit customized with Danielle at Moonwoods. He even followed up a week later to make sure everything worked out. I will never tire of the compliments regarding my new specs!

I really cant say enough good things about Myoptic. The optometrist, Dr. Summy To, and her staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My eye exam was very thorough (took about an hour), and Dr. To answered all my questions in detail. Not only are they great to work with, but theyre also genuinely invested in the community--Dr. To volunteers her services through a local nonprofit, and Myoptic also donates part of their exam proceeds to organizations like OPB and Mercy Corps. Ill definitely be returning for my future vision needs.

Ive been to optometrists since childhood. As a middle aged guy with years of experience with contacts and glasses, Ive tried all different kinds of styles of optometry shops. While waiting for my sons music lesson to end, I walked into Myopic where I had an exam with Dr. Summy and ordered two pairs of glasses. Not only was Dr. To great at her job and very kind, but her entire team was really on their game. The selection of frames is very fashion-forward and high quality. I cant recommend Myoptic highly enough!

Last year, I got a pair of glasses at myoptic. They were very expensive. After three tries, they never got my progressive glasses correct (large frame). I have only been able to use them for distance. I wear my old glasses at work. Now my eyes have changed and I need to get a new pair and definitely will go somewhere else. I guess I will go back to Walmart where my previous glasses (a much smaller frame) worked beautifully until my vision changed.

My experience here has been nothing short of perfection! Everyone on staff is polite, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and above all else accommodating. They are military friendly as well. They are all true experts in their field. I would recommend Dr.Summy, and all the other staff, if you have any optometry needs.
