I called for some basic pricing information for Botox. I explained that I had one wrinkle between my eyebrows and one starting on my forehead and that I believed I would only need about 20-25 units for everything. I have not had Botox, but most of my friends have had it and Ive been in when theyve had theirs done many times. Ive asked a lot of questions trying to decide if its right for me. From what Ive seen on their appointments and what Ive been told by other doctors is I really shouldnt need more than 25 units total. I explained this to the receptionist and she said that they treat by area, each area getting 30 units (but not more for that area) and you are charged per area. Thecost would have been outrageous for what I needed, aprox. 3 times the average Ive been quoted by other doctors. I asked if, in my situation, the doctor might be willing to do a consultation and consider using using only the one 30 unit increment for my two wrinkles (or areas as she called them) and she replied rudely as if I was trying to be cheap and/or making a ridiculous request. I dont mind paying for good work, but I do mind people who are over charging for a service especially when theyre snotty about it. Ive owned salons and been around several cosmetic surgery practices and theres no way Id go to this place based solely on that interaction. It says a lot for the over all professionalism of a practice such as this.

Scott Maury and the attending nurse took such amazing care of me when I got faint during a biopsy (which was TOTALLY painless, by the way, both the numbing shots and the procedure itself! ). I felt truly cared for and that they had genuine concern for my well-being. They broke through my embarrassment by spending time with me, giving me chocolate and water, cold compresses and telling me funny stories of their own fainting episodes. I would recommend this clinic to anyone, they were professional, kind, spend more time with me than expected, explained the procedure and outcome in a way that I totally understood. The clinic was clean, very professional looking, plenty of exam rooms and doctors and nurses available. I made an appointment and was seen the very next day.

In December I had to undergo extensive Mohs surgery. It took over 3 hours in the Dermatology Associates office and was performed by Dr. Scott Collins. He was extremely kind and professional as were his two nurses. I was given over 10 shots in my face during the lengthy procedure and I NEVER FELT THEM AT ALL. These people really know what theyre doing. My sister was with me and said shed "fly back from Virginia to have them take care of her" IF she ever needed it. My hat is off to Dr Collins and his staff. They were wonderful in every way. Now Im not afraid of going back. (The first Mohs surgery I had in Florida was extremely unpleasant so it was a total relief to find Dr. Collins!!!).

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gretchen VanDerbeek. She removed a mole from the side of my head that I have probably had for well over a decade. Super informative, very nice and polite, gave me options to choose from. Given the location of the mole I was a bit hesitant about anything being done there, but Dr. VanDerbeek made me feel very comfortable with the procedure and took care of it with little to no fuss. I would highly recommend her and Dermatology Associates for your skin care needs.

My actual doctor was competent and nice, but the rest of the outfit left me cold. A minor surgery wound up costing a bundle even though I was told it wouldnt - dont trust them in their cost estimates. I also have a quarter- sized scar and had a staph infection because their genius of a doctor on call kept telling me to not come in even though my stick on sutures came off the night of the operation and later I had green pus leaking out. Itd be one star except my actual doctor was so charming.

I have been a patient of Dermatology Associates for the past 6 years. Thanks to Dr. Ross careful screening she caught a life threatening melanoma on my arm. Her gentle and thorough approach put me at ease. After the biopsy confirmed the melanoma, I was scheduled for surgery soon thereafter. It was quick and painless. The staff at Dermatology Associates has been consistently friendly and professional. 5 stars!

I have NEVER felt so rushed through a doctors appointment in my ENTIRE life! My appointment was scheduled for 9am and I was out of there and back in my car by 9:03. I was not listened to and was actually asked what my opinion was as to how to treat my adult on-set acne. If I knew, would I be going to the doctor for it?!?! I will NEVER be going back there and suggest NO ONE ever do!

I have gone there before and found the experience wonderful. Today I called for an appointment, and the receptionist was horrible. She was brief, didnt listen, told me to go to urgent care. I have something going on with my skin around my eyes, and she told me "whatever" and to go somewhere else. So I will.
