I’ve had both an excellent and terrible experience at VSAS. My positive experience was with Dr Stansbury in 2006. I was in to see him multiple times and was met with a highly competent staff and treated with respect. In 2013 I was in to see a Dr Weiss (their hand specialist) and couldn’t be more disgusted with the level of service. I had a 5:15 appointment and was taken back almost immediately for x rays/tests and then left in an exam room at 5:30 to wait for the doctor. I waited in an empty room for a full hour (6:30) with not a single person checking on me. When I stepped out of the room to find out what the delay was, I was informed that the doctor would be with me shortly. 15 minutes later he came into the room, offered no apology for the wait (a total of 1 hr and 30 min from my appointment), gave me a quick diagnosis and sent me on my way. While checking out I explained to his staff that I refused to pay my co-payment due to the lengthy wait. Regardless of my complaint, they sent me a bill in the mail for $40. I contacted their billing department multiple times, during normal business hours, only to be sent to a voicemail that rendered sporadically returned calls. Once I finally spoke with the billing department I was told I would need to file my complaint in writing and return it with the bill for review. A week later I was left a message to contact them regarding the letter. Once again, I played phone tag, even though I called in the middle of a weekday. When I finally got them on the phone they informed me that Dr Weiss reviewed my letter and ruled that I would still need to pay the $40 bill. I asked to speak with him directly and was patched through to his voicemail. I was contacted by his assistant, who told me I would need to speak with billing! Since I was getting the run around, I once again asked to speak with Dr Weiss directly. I was told that my situation would be looked into and I would hear back from them; weeks later still nothing. Dr Weiss and his staff could have easily avoided any of the hassle I may have caused them by simply treating me with a modicum of respect. How hard is it to let your patient know that the doctor is running behind, especially when it’s over an hour? Furthermore, when a patient calls to your attention how poorly they were treated, how hard is it waive a small portion of the bill, especially when they’re already being compensated by the insurance company? It would have cost them nothing to be respectful of their patients’ time. It would have cost them $40 if they would have waived the fee after my complaint. Unfortunately for them, it costs them any future business from me, and possibly those who read this.

My experiences with Dr. Lebby, his assistant Dana, and his entire crew have been fabulous. Dr. Lebby did a total hip replacement on me on Oct 22, 2014. My husband (who had a total hip replacement in Feb 2014 by Dr. Lebby) did the research on the doctor we were going to use and he selected Dr. Lebby of VSAS Orthopaedics. I am truly so glad he chose Dr. Lebby and staff. During the first visit they explained in detail the procedure and what to expect. They are extremely cautious about infections and have an entire regimen to prevent them as best as possible. They employ the most up to date equipment for post operative comfort and safety which included a leg wrap/ice pack machine that inflates leg wraps and controls icings thus cutting the possibility of blood clots and reduces swelling. I had a occasion to call the office pre-op for a medication and they responded promptly. I received papers from them indicating that I could call anytime even after I am "dismissed" from their post operative services. I believe they would be there for me. Should I be in need of his type services again then Dr. Lebby would without a doubt be my choice; thus I would definitely recommend Dr. Lebby and crew to anyone in need of his services.

If their is one thing Ive learned about about the Lehigh Valley Area, it would be the amazing network of LVPG doctors. At VSAS/LVPG Orthopedics, I saw doctor Stansbury for my constant knee pain. I was sent to physical therapy for 6 weeks and I had no improvement at all; if anything- I was worse. So Stansbury took a look at my knees again and said my patella tracking was still out of place. You could clearly see the angle my knee caps were at. So we scheduled me for surgery. I really was less then thrilled. Miserable was more like it. 2/3 month recovery time wasnt not what I expected. I went in for surgery 5/5/16 and came out to learn that they found something else. The initial procedure wasnt done and my recovery time was cut drastically. That made everything worth it. Apparently there was something pinched in my knee causing all sorts of hell in my knee. Now I need to get my right knee done and Ill be one happy camper. Im 24, Id thought it would be many many more years before Id need surgery to relieve pain. Thanks LVPG Ortho! Youve given me my life back!

Dr. Lebby did a fantastic job completely replacing a knee replacement done by another doctor after only three years. His focus and care for me was extraordinary! He immediately told me to not to focus on the past and only focus on the positive for the future. To date, my recovery has been tremendous and after 30 plus years of pain and suffering, Dr. Lebby has given me my life back!! The experience has been so positive/wonderful that I even asked on my post-operative three week visit when he can schedule the replacement of my other knee that also needs to be done! Dr. Lebby came highly recommended and he exceeded my expectations. I too highly recommend him. Not only is he an outstanding surgeon but also possesses such great care for his patients you very rarely see. He truly wants to help his patients and is an inspiration to others. I cannot give him high enough marks, don’t waste your time with other surgeons, and go to the VERY BEST, Dr. Lebby! Thank you Dr. Lebby, Judy Perrotta

I can attest to Dr. Lebbys excellence as an orthopedic surgeon from my own experience of having knee replacement surgery. Prior to surgery my knee was in constant pain and I had effectively lost the use of my entire leg. Dr. Lebby replaced my knee and I had immediate relief, even taking in consideration the after effects of the surgery. I was so amazed that a quick and almost pain free surgery could bring my knee back to normal and basically give me my leg back. Besides being a magician in the operating room and an artist in closing my wound with minimal scar tissue, Dr. Lebby also has a warm and friendly personality that provides confidence and assurance which helps the patient control any fear or anxiety they may have. I am totally satisfied with the entire procedure performed by Dr. Lebby and my only fear is that he may be retired to some sunny haven by the time my other knee needs replacement.
