I am Ill equipped to rate a dentist office on skill. It is possible they are all very talented. On the ability to deliver a service however, this business is woefully incompetent. They insist on taking their own x-rays rather than accept x-rays from another facility. They take your blood pressure for every dentist visit despite that being outside the scope of why a patient visits them. Theyre unable to seamlessly allow you take the next available appointment with any dentist in their practice, instead insisting you see the same dentist repeatedly. They dont listen to the customers request and behave accordingly In my specific case I became a new patient, received a full slate of x-rays and began new patient treatment of cleaning etc. Dentist recommended I get 2 crowns. I deferred the procedure for 6 months for financial reasons. I then asked for the crown appointment, calling twice on the phone to say I wanted to begin the treatment they recommended. They wanted my first appointment to come in and have a preliminary appointment, including more X-rays, a crown appointment and a final appointment. Three appointments, for two crowns they recommended. I stated clearly that I knew what crowns were and wanted to begin treatment, saving myself one visit because my time is valuable to me. At my visit they wanted to do a preliminary appointment, a cleaning, a first visit for the crowns then a second. I instead opted to leave and change dentists. This is with Penn Dental insurance which they blamed for this rigamarole. If you have unlimited time to spend at the dentist, drive to and from the Main Line, and want dentists and staff who are incapable of working as a team to expedite your treatment plan when you request this is the dentist for you. Personally, Ill look elsewhere.

The hygiene services are excellent, particularly Anne. The dental care has never been good and a few times had really deleterious outcomes resulting in some serious problems to be cleaned up as best possible by another dentist. In the past 4 years of trying four different dentists in this group I can only surmise that the best dentists do not find employ in groups such as this. The office manager was unable to effect and better outcome either. My husband has found adequate care at Penn Dental downtown Philly. This review is for the poor outcome at Penn Dental Bryn Mawr.

I thought this would be a great dental Service because it was related to UPenn but I guess not and it was not! Highly unorganized dental staff (seemed to not have enough coverage) and way overloaded office staff. Not sure who is in charge here but I had an awful dental experience there this year and will do all I can to get the fees paid by me and my insurance company back from them.
