Wouldnt recommend and will not be going back. The doctor took a stool sample for an issue with my two cats and before he even had the results he was trying to sell me on the food they sell and other tests. I highly felt like he was just trying to get my money. I took the cats to a different vet for a second opinion and they sounded more knowledgeable so I tried this other vets treatment and it worked beautifully. The thing is the diagnosis and treatment was different from Hillmounts which means they also misdiagnosed something that took the other vet less than 10 minutes. It may have just been that doctor but as mentioned I will not be returning and would not recommend.

First time visit was a great experience. I took two of my three cats in for vaccination and a checkup. When i got home, one got sick due to a reaction to the vaccination but nothing serious from what i found out. I called back and they were welcome to me beinging the one that got sick same day without an appointment to make sure shes ok. We found out she had worms due to the reaction from the vaccination and they even helped me out and allowed me to take meds for the other two to make sure they dont have worms either without bringing them in. Im very grateful they were so helpful. Def recommend this place. Great experience for a first time vet interaction.

We have taken our 3 dogs and 2 cats to Dr. Bowers at Hillmount Animal hospital for the last 5 years. It is clear that all the staff and Dr. Bowers are true animal lovers, and Dr. Bowers always answers our questions in a way that is easy to understand. We have a rescue dog who had breast cancer. Dr. Bowers performed a partial mastectomy and Sandy has been cancer free for a year and a half, with a second lease on life. We would recommend Hillmount and Dr. Bowers to anyone in the Carlisle/Mechanicsburg/Shippensburg area.

We came upon a situation where we needed to go out of town on short notice to help someone close to us. Our dogs hadnt been to a kennel in some time, and were due for all of their shots before they could be boarded. We called and explained the situation, and although they had no open appointments, they took the weight of our situation to heart and were able to work us in. I loved this place. I had trouble with one of my cats ears and it wouldnt clear up they worked with me and kept trying different combinations of things. They did a wonderful job. The vet explained everything in details. They didnt do unnecessary tests or give unnecessary shots. Reasonably priced and didnt not make us wait long for appointments. I would highly recommend this vet.
