I have had a great experience here. I am a firm believer in "less is more" and "treat when there is a clear benefit, not just to make me feel like Im doing something." At other vets office, medications and treatments were thrown at me for every ailment. When I tried to refuse medications that I felt would be of little benefit, the vet would actually try to make me feel like a bad owner. Although the vets here will offer aggressive treatments, I have never felt pressure accept any of them. I feel that they have always given me an accurate assessment of the situation, and this has allowed me to make my own decisions regarding the plan.

After having a multitude of problems with our previous vet, we decided to try the Silver Spring Animal Hospital on Seminary Road. Thus far they have been aggressive in diagnosing the patients (my dog) injuries and illness, they have given us good references to an animal radiologist, they consistently check up on the status of their patient, and they have been active in every aspect of taking care of the patient. They are excellent!

Weve taken our 4-year-old rescue dog to SSAH since we got her and shes seen both Dr. Krishna and Dr. Meadows. We love them both, and love that having two vets makes it both easy to get an appointment quickly and with someone who knows us and our dog. Plus, they are generally available by phone for quick questions, for the times weve had an emergency and werent sure how to handle it. Great for first-time dog parents!
