The positive thing I can say about the Family Practice Associates of King of Prussia office is that the doctors and nurse practioners are friendly. There are, unfortunately, several negative things to say as well. My husband and I have been patients at the office for 3 years. Within the first year, the doctors response to my husbands reaction to a medication was very lackadaisical and we later found out it was incorrect treatment protocol. We considered leaving the practice right then and there. Within the last few months, I received a new diagnosis. Something very treatable, but nonetheless a lifelong medical issue. After follow-up lab work, I contacted the office when a week had gone by and I heard nothing. I spoke to a receptionist asking if my results were in yet. She responded with, "Oh, we should have called you" and proceeded to tell me my results. When I requested that the doctor contact me regarding a question I had that was logistic in nature, I received a call back from the receptionist indicating that if I had questions I should make an appointment with the nurse practitioner. I do not know if the doctor realizes how offensive that was to me. I have learned more about my diagnosis from the internet than my doctor or anyone at the office and I find that to be a very sad thing. We go to doctors because they are the professionals we rely on when something in our body systems goes wrong. We have to place an awful lot of trust in these people to steer us in the right direction. Fortunately, the doctor you see is your own choice. At this stage in the game, I am seeking a new doctor who will listen to me, remember me, and maybe even personally return a phone call on occasion. I wrote this review to share my personal experience in the hope of helping another patient. The office of Family Practice Associates of King of Prussia will receive a more detailed letter from me explaining my reasons for leaving their office.

I was trying to sign into my patient portal and Wow, I was so SURPRISED when I read these reviews. Ive been going here for over 25 years when they were at a smaller location in King of Prussia. My primary doctor has always been Dr. Anthony Camp. In fact, he was referred to me when I moved into the area. I have also referred him to my family, former co-workers and friends, whom have also remained more than thankful and satisfied with him and the other physicians. When Dr. Camp has not been available, I have made appointments over the years with Drs. Smith, Darby, and Richardson and have also received top care from them. Some readers never go beyond the low stars they see beside a Doctors listing on the web. I think if a Physicians practice is being reviewed, it should at least rate the medical service thats received and then within the review, rate the additional services. Its unfortunate that this practice would get such low reviews because of the delays in the phones being answered. Sometimes it is a hit or miss. There is an option to have someone return your call if you dont want to wait. I have used that option, but normally I put the phone on speaker and wait. Ive never had a rude person answer the phone. From the demeanor of the Physicians, I personally dont think this would tolerated. Also, the interactions Ive had with the office staff has always been kind, competent and professional. As far as prescription renewals, I do get reminders from my pharmacist when my prescription is up for a refill and/or a reminder if there are no refills on file. On another note, its also possible that the reason the office is not full is because the administrators do not overbook appointments (to my knowledge). My family and I have had such a long history with this practice that I felt I needed to share my feelings and opinions. (A warm shoutout to Kendra and Jeffrey).

I have gone to this practice my whole life. Lately, it has gone way down hill! First, they refuse to book me for a physical I needed for work because my insurance wouldnt cover it so I had to go to CVS. Then when I needed a form filled out with physical information as well as medical history, I had to get CVS to transfer this information over because they wouldnt give me the physical in the first place! That made the paperwork take over a week and may be what cost me my student teaching placement! Then they booked me for a TB skin test at a time when they werent open in 48-72 hours to read it, so I had to reschedule! THEN, I finally got my TB test and they failed to mention the rash I get may stay forever. I have sensitive skin. They should know that! I had a feeling Id get a rash. If they told me it has a chance of staying, I would not have gotten that test. I had to get the blood test run anyway! When they told me the rash may stay, the guy who told me laughed!! I had to hang up on him so I wouldnt say anything I would regret. My loyalty to this practice is about to run out! Two months later: my loyalty to this place has officially run out! It is a fine place if you KNOW there is nothing wrong with you. They are now bad at conveying messages to the doctors, very bad customer service, I feel rushed the whole time Im there, and the doctors dont see me a whole person (exactly the job of a general practitioner!) I have tried multiple doctors there including Ellen Fraizer! Dont settle on a place like this. There are much better places to go!

7/1/16 UPDATE: I agree with many other reviewers. The hold times on the phone are ridiculous. This is an ongoing problem. Anywhere from 15 minutes to never. Once I do get someone to answer, the technician cant find me in their system! I mean like "we have to call you back" type of cant find. That would be unacceptable in an emergency. They refused to refill my ongoing prescription because I hadnt had a blood test in 1 years time. (mind you, Ive been on this script for years). Fine, except they dont send me a reminder of any kind prior to my prescription being refused. They just cut me off with no more pills left and Im about to leave for vacation. Finally, they make a script with emergency pills for the time until next appointment. However, this requires another trip to the pharmacy and more time wasted. Thankfully, I dont have a plane to catch. On the good side, the office is usually empty so no wait times there, but overall Id look elsewhere for a different practice. Its not worth the hassle. ------------------------------------------------------------ Nurse practitioners are thorough. Never met a doctor there. Always routed to a nurse practitioner. Office wait times are minimal and scheduling is usually less than a week, but staff does not answer phones in a timely fashion.

So, Ive been going here for a little over 4 years. I loved it in the beginning, and the last year or so has been ...ROUGH - long wait times on the phone, long wait times in the office, a lot of turnover, and losing our Primary Doc was a bummer. Literally to the point that I requested to have our records extracted, so we could change doctors. I then had a pleasant annual physical, for work that was due - and the NP told me they had been going through staffing changes, but things were getting back to normal. And then, last night... my son was in severe pain, and I feared it might be an ear infection. I called their "after hours" number - it was disconnected... so I tried their regular office line - and low and behold, someone answered the phone, was kind and helpful, let me know that they were open until 8:30 pm and they could see me in 30 minutes, if I could make it. We tossed sneakers on the pair of us, and headed out the door. The staff was so nice, and the doctor was super friendly and lovey to my sick bubba. He even tried to double check that my pharmacy would still be open so we could get antibiotics that same night. I am seriously, so incredibly grateful. We will not be switching primary doctors, Im so glad theyre getting it back together.
