I want to be fair to this place as I have heard decent reports among the online reviews and the reception staff are very nice. However, I believe these reviews are most often from pet owners whose treatment is simple (e.g. diagnose a soft tissue issue and prescribe some medication = fixed). Our dog experienced what, as I explained at our first visit, seemed to be a neck injury. She would randomly scream in pain and appear to lock up at her neck. She would stand frozen for 2-3+ minutes in agony and whimpering, then the pain would subside. I explained the symptoms to the vet at our first visit and was prescribed simple anti-inflammatories (Carprofen). That was on a Weds. By Friday the issue had got no better so we called when the vet opened at 7am. We didnt receive a return call until 5:05pm that AFTERNOON (9 HOURS later). On that call I explained symptoms were the same & it definitely was still an issue, to which the vet prescribed muscle relaxants. About 5 mins after that call I returned home to witness our dogs worst attack yet, she was in absolute agony, screaming. So I called the vet back instantly and explained things had got worse. The receptionist explained that the vet could not see her or talk on the phone as it was Friday afternoon at 5:15pm and we should just try the muscle relaxants over the weekend and if it hadnt improved in 72 hrs we should call again. This was their stance, even with the new information to hand. By Monday it was no better, our dog would experience 3-4 spasms a day, excruciating pain. I called the vet and explained that Id never seen a dog scream in agony like this. That day they ran X-rays ($150) and said that everything came back normal, prescribing steroids & new painkillers (Tramadol) to be given with the muscle relaxants. By Weds our dog was not eating or drinking water. On Friday at 7am I called to explain she was still the same (at this stage 9 days after first exam). They did manage to give us an appointment for that evening for which I give them some credit. However, the vet ran another exam & I explained yet again, in some further detail the sequencing of the problem and how severe the spasm/pain was. The Dr said to me, specifically... "I dont know what you mean by a neck "spasm". Ive done everything I can to replicate the issue and the dog has normal range of motion in her neck. I suggest you video tape an incident & show me." Are you SERIOUS? The vet started another exam and was thankfully able to replicate the issue and said, "Oh yeah, I see what you mean, I think youre right".

We had a very negative experience with this vet. We came in (after reading all the great reviews) as new clients after moving into the area. No problem getting an appointment but they are obviously too busy to be taking new clients... we have had two appointments and both times had to wait for almost an hour to be seen. The first appointment was a regular check up for our 11 year old dog and they ended up convincing my husband to get extra unnecessary vaccines that would require a booster 3 weeks later (another 60$) plus they also wanted to charge us for a visit again (30-40$).... this was ridiculous and very dishonest so we never went back.... unfortunately our dog developed some symptoms of UTI shortly after and instead of looking for a new vet on a very short notice we decided to give this place another chance and called to see if they could get her in for a check up and to test her urine sample. After a ridiculous wait again the dog never got seen... my husband couldnt waste any more time (he had to come from work) waiting so he dropped the urine sample off and left. This place is very poorly run and over their head... we wont be back and wont recommend to anyone.

My 16 month old lab recently came down with a deadly sickness after traveling the Midwest. He had lost 12 pounds in just a few days/week and I took him in for tests. After seeing two different vets at this clinic, they finally diagnosed his condition and he is on his way to recovery! His condition is not native to Pennsylvania, so it took a little bit to diagnose , but the wonderful doctors here nailed it! On Monday, I wasnt sure he was going to make it through the day and today hes showing signs of wanting to play! Im so thankful and grateful for the nice, compassionate doctors at the Lewisburg Veterinary Clinic!! ❤️❤️

I have been with LVH for many years and trust them exclusively with our furry family members. From the early years, through middle age, into the elderly years, during times of hospice and ultimately saying goodbye ... we have been through it all with LVH. We have also adopted through them, and have found the experience and follow up to be wonderful! I would highly recommend LVH for your pets health and wellness needs, and to consider their adoption program when adding a new member to your furry family. I have been using this Vet office for 14 years and it has only improved over the years. The current staff are all very positive, polite, and caring. Ive seen every doctor within the practice at one time or another and while I have my favorites, you will get excellent care from all of them. They are thorough in examinations, recommending meds or testing, explaining treatments and following-up with phone calls. Id highly recommend this office for anyone seeking a Vet.

Very unhappy with the care we received. We were new patients with our dog who was in severe pain after hurting herself. The first visit was great but as our pet got worse, we called at 7am and had to wait until 5pm for a return call. No vet would see her as it was a Friday evening and we were left dealing with a very ill dog. Would not recommend at all.

Five Stars! My golden Amos and I have always been treated professionally and kindly. Excellent care. Amos (and I ) Love his vet, Dr. Crombie. He cries to go in every time we even happen to drive by the Lewisburg Veterinary Hospital, and he literally is jumping with joy to see her. Highly recommend this group of veterinarians.

The staff at the Lewisburg Veterinary Hospital is awesome! Made me feel welcome and immediately showed attention and concern to Ava, my 5 lb. Yorkie. Everyone was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Dr. Loving couldnt be more thorough and helpful to Avas leg injury. I highly recommend them.

My dog has had two surgeries at this vet hospital and hes come out of each one with no probs that were related to his surgery They r good about follow up care and treat ur animals with care. My dog is a weirdo when he isnt with me so they kept him with the nurses to keep him from freaking out!
