First let me start with I am not a patient. My younger sister and I went for a visit with my mother who is a patient there. When I spoke on the phone with her she did nothing but complain about how rude they are. I thought its just because shes coming off the drug, well that was not the case. As I was sitting in the lobby with my mother and sister a man (Maurice) came out with another worker there. Tons of attitude in his body language, spoke to mother like she was a child. Did not introduce himself to me or my sister, just straight rude and intimidating. Telling my mother she was not approved to be out with us. The receptionist ( nice lady) was explaining that another worker told her it was fine. He then put his hand up to her for her to be quite. I have never met such a rude person who is suppose to be there to help. If you dont like your job then quit. I am honestly worried at this point to even let my mother stay there. I have called to speak with his supervisor and I was told hes off today. I will be calling and will go up if I do not receive a call back. I dont care what your in there for, nobody should be treated like garbage. Teach your staff kindness and to at least be nice to your co-workers. Horrible man!!!!

I was in the chronic pain program and I cant say enough good things about it...Dr. Miller, BarbRN, Kelly who went above and beyond for us...Nina the social worker that really takes care of business, MargieRN is a doll, always so kind and caring...I was coming from a bad place when I got there. They treated me like a human being...they werent judgemental or condescending...we were given the tools to learn to live our lives the best way we can with chronic pain...we werent put down for taking meds, more educated on other ways to deal with it. I made friends for life in there...MarkS., AndreF.,Amy M., Kathy M....We went to physical therapy everyday except Sunday...we had such a great time, working out with the radio on. The physical therapy team is outstanding too...I put my heart into every single thing that was offered...it was a wonderful experience. Dont hesitate to get in...You arent tortured. Dr. Miller assesses your situation, and knows what hes doing. He is very kind and fun-loving...so is Barb!! I miss all of you so much. Thankyou for taking me in without judgement.

The worst rehab facility I have ever been too, the staff members have major attitude problems. most of the rooms are not clean and a lot of mold has built up because of it, will not recommend anyone I care about to this place. the food looks and tastes like it came from the closest prison, personal items get taken on a daily basis and security does nothing about it because they say there isnt enough proof to convict anyone, when I was in there several people had narcotics and could even get it brought there and could meet there dealers in the parking lot because you are not supervised when you go outside during the day, could of got drugs in here more easily then on the street. this place is a waste of money and anyone who is trying to get clean should not go here, the counselors and speakers use the same material in all there meetings and say the other one stole it from them, worst educational sessions I have ever been too, overall they take your money and give you nothing in return.

I have no clue what Vinny is talking about.. I have been to multiple treatment centers, and Valley Forge is the best place i have been. The techs, the nursing staff, and my counselor were incredible. The Ranch House idea is the best idea Ive seen... You grow close with the guys in the house, and it shows what sober fun can be. The Educational Sessions taught me so much, if you actually pay attention and involve yourself with the program. The Food was decent, and you can get double portions upon request.. not even comparable to jail food.. but if your in rehab for the food your there for the wrong reasons. Shout out to Carl. i learned so much from you.. and you made my stay 100 times better. i would recommend this place to anyone looking for treatment.

I havent visited for four years now, but let me just say: if youre like on youre way here, just know that its not THAT bad. The foods not great, the staff is eh, the place is kinda dirty, but its not THAT bad. There are definitely nicer rehabs and there are definitely worse. I remember when I was here there was a girl who would sneak into the rooms at night and suck the dudes off. So that was pretty cool. The medical staff is just OK, they will keep you alive, but dont expect world class medical care. Some dude stole about 5 bucks in change off my side table in my bedroom, and Im pretty sure it wasnt a room mate. Security was unhelpful. All in all it wasnt a horrible stay, and I never wanted to do drugs again, so I had that going for me.

I have been here on numerous occasions as sad as I am to say that and have only had one bad experience with a so called counselor that is no longer there.this is an excellent place that does have staff that are assholes what place dont?but there are many there that truly care.they dont sugar coat things so if ur looking to be coddled your looking for the wrong reasons.the facility is beautiful and well kept, great food and most important they really have a great medical team that pays attention to detox needs.Sergio and Carl kick ass as just great people, tom from security is another awesome dude and izzy from medical is top notch.I suggest this place to anyone that really wants the help and a good environment to change.

Entered Valley Forge Hospital 36 years ago today (July 18,1981) and today I celebrate 36 years of continuous sobriety. The staff at the time taught me to listen, learn and examine my motives. I was a horrible patient but they got through in spite of myself. We started the Valley Forge Alumni Association (me, Linda McD. and and Curt C.) in 1981.The place has done a lot of good for a lot of people. Sobriety isnt for those who want it or even for those who need it. Sobriety is for those who are willing to do the work to earn it. Once we stop complaining and start doing the work, life gets better. May God continue to bless us all.
