My cat just had her first appointment today and I am FLOORED. Dr. Guth and her staff are unbelievably kind and welcoming, even with my grumpy old lady-cat... My cat would flail and scream at our previous vet despite their best efforts to keep her calm, but this was not the case at Caring for Cats. Theyve got some serious magic working because our normal cattitude went from "absolutely mental" to "reasonably temperamental" during our visit. The office was easy to access, pricing was very fair, and as an added bonus they have parking available. I am so happy to have found Dr. Guth and her wonderful assistants! Update: its been over 2 years and I still cannot heap enough praise on this veterinary office. I have had my cats seen by Dr. Guth and Dr. Nabhan, and both of them truly care about your cats and give every cat in the office the attention they need. Ive recommended this place to many friends.

Everyone in the office is very friendly. They took my cat on short notice which was nice. Sadly I wont be returning. I took my cat there for what seemed to be a minor ear infection. After after four visits the problem wasnt fixed. After calling back again I was told "We just kinda guess at what the problem is and keep giving different medication until its fixed. We have no more options." Obviously thats not okay to say or to do. I trusted them when they gave my cat antibiotics, steroids and allergy medicine. I am not happy that my cat was given steroids for no reason. I took my cat to a vet that actually did a culture and they fixed the problem with simple ear drops. Youre better off googling the problem yourself than going here. Waste of money and time.

When I moved to Manayunk I would pass this place all the time when coming off 76 so when it was time to make an appointment for little guys it was a no brainer. I had taken them to a place right on Main St in Manayunk the guy was just awful and rude and had no patients for my cats. Dr. Guth however was amazing with my guys who tend to not show their best side when at vet. She handled my one cat fantastically to the point where he was even purring by the end of the visit. Her hours are very convenient and her staff is polite and friendly. I have been going to her for about 3 years now and when I recently moved about an hour away I was debating whether or not carting my cats back and forth would be an option.

I originally was going to take my cat to the Cat Doctor but found the desk staff pretty rude when I called. I ended up going to Caring For Cats Philly and found them amazing--very nice doc, great facility, free parking and friendly staff. I had many tests run on my little sick dude and yet the price was incredibly reasonable. I also felt as if Dr. Guth did a superb job explaining things to me and treating me like my animal mattered and was not just a fuzzy money machine. Minor setback is they are in Manayunk but if you can make it up there I think it is def. worth it. I have never read a bad review, either.

I cannot write enough about Caring for Cats. I would never take my cats anywhere else. Great facility, Wonderful staff who are so kind and genuinely caring about your pet and Dr. Guth is by far the best vet I have ever met. Everytime I go there, they even ask about the other cat I have that isnt there for the visit, it just shows they truly care. They even stayed open after hours because I was stuck in traffic on 76 and they knew i was on my way to pick up my cat after surgery. I couldnt believe it!!!! NO other place wouldve done that! I love this place and wouldnt go anywhere else!

I am so happy with the choice to bring my cat here. I was extremely nervous to bring her in for her shots and a checkup because I know she can be sassy.. and she was. The staff was so efficient and professional at what they do that with all of the fight my cat put up (hissing, squirming, and all) they had her in and out and it didnt seem to phase them one bit. They were very friendly and welcoming and I will definitely continue to bring her back here!

I started bringing my cats to Dr. Guth when she first opened in Manayaunk. I cant say enough good things about the care shes given both of them. Shes very knowledgable, stays on top of new treatments and technologies, and is incredibly kind and compassionate. When we had to put my older cat down last year, she and the whole staff were so kind and compassionate. They really helped us with the transition.

Dr. Guth and her staff are very nice and knowledgable. Their prices are reasonable and they have evening and Saturday hours. I found my abandoned kitten on a side walk in Manayunk and she was in horrible shape. She was malnurished, covered with fleas, and her eyes were still glued shut. With the health of Caring for Cats she is now a perfectly healthy happy cat. I highly reccomend them.

called to board my indoor kitten for the weekend. came in and they suddenly insisted on a $100 exam before accepting him. All in all it would have been over $200 for 3 nights. I missed my flight as a result and my work appointments. Im absolutely furious at this place and would NEVER go back. SHAME SHAME SHAME on this business

I have been battling some tricky urinary issues with my cat that requires regular visits to Dr. Guth. They have been extremely accommodating with squeezing her in on an emergent basis and have been very accessible to answer the many questions this worried cat Mom has. Hours are great, as is the facility.

Dr. Guth truly is the best vet I have ever encountered. She is bright, knows her stuff, reasonable, takes the time to explain everything and make sure you understand, and she clearly loves her job and cats. She totally deserves the perfect reviews on this site. You wont find a better vet for your cat.

Taking cats to the vet is never fun, no matter what the circumstances are, but Dr Guth and her staff make it as easy to manage as possible. They have provided great care for our (4) cats. They are understanding, accommodating, and compassionate. I cant imagine taking my babies anywhere else.

I had an amazing experience there and will definitely be back! We went for an annual visit and 2 vaccines. My cat was very comfortable with the vet and the vet tech, I believe this is because they spent some time petting his head (which he loves!!) before they had to give him any shots.

I bring my cat here and wouldnt consider going anywhere else. Dr. Guth and her staff are incredibly patient with my cat who gets really agitated and aggressive when shes at the vet office. Since I cant trim my cats claws they do it for me and it doesnt cost me a lot of money.
