I took my cat in with a simple respitory problem, expecting anti-biotics. The vet spent 45 mins trying to sell me other vaccinations and acted like i was killing my cat even though he was up-to-date on all his necessary shots. He also listened to my cats heart for 1 second and proceeded to tell me he has a heart murmur and he could take him in the back and do an ultra sound right then and there but should see a cat cardiologist soon. He barely examined him for his existing condition, and when he did he prescribed medicine that my cat had a bad allergic reaction to (which he did not warn me of at all). I took my cat to The Cat Dr to get him new medicine and they were much more cat friendly, talked to me about his current problem and did not see any other problems with him. My cat was much calmer there as well. The Cat Dr was a little more expensive (maybe $20), but definitely worth it considering i left the last vet thinking my cat might die any day. The women at the front desk are friendly, and I even saw a different vet at one point there who was nice. However, the owner of the place (the french guy) was terrible.

I recently brought my dog here for a skin irritation. I strongly agree with the other posts here stating that the doctor was simply trying to get me to buy all of these unnecessary vaccinations. He has an entire binder full of pamphlets which he spent a longer amount showing me then checking my dog. The vet himself was nice enough, but I did not trust that he was giving me accurate information. The veterinary assistants were extremely friendly and he has an excellent staff. However, I would strongly advise against going to this veterinary clinic. I do not believe you will receive the proper care for your pet, but will instead end up paying for quite a few unnecessary expenses. This clinic is clearly open for profit, and not for the best care of animals.

I went to fairmount animal hospital to get my dog checked out after having a nasty kennel cough following his adpotion. The nurses were very nice, however I did not get a good vibe from the doctor. I felt like I was being pressured into getting all of these vaccines and products, my head was spinning from all of his recommendations. He was way too pushy. Upon checking my dogs stool, they found worms and wanted to treat it with an aggressive deworming pill because they said that it was very hard to get rid of. I was very weary of it and got a second opinion and it turns out the specific worm is common in puppies and shouldnt be treated because it goes away. I do not recommend this place unless you want to over vaccinate and spend a ton of money on b.s.

This animal hospital is the worst I have ever experienced. I moved to Philly 8 months ago and took my dog there since it was in the neighborhood and they have done nothing but give me trouble! They can never find his chart, they constantly want to run tests on him when he doesnt need them, and they refuse to fax his prescriptions to any other clinic--even if you are out of town! The waiting room is dirty and the staff is rude and can be downright mean. Do not take your animal there--it is a waste of money and time!

I went here when my regular vet was unavailable. They fit me in last minute, which was great. The office staff is very nice and the vet is knowledgeable, but definitely tries to oversell you on shots and medication. Very salesey feel - would not recommend vet unless you are in a pinch. I usually go to World of Animals in Rittenhouse - tiny office but Dr. Delago is amazing, so good with my doggie and never overcharges :)

This vet appears too eager to sell products and shots. He was very reluctant to examine my dog and seemed to prefer talking to me about the things he was selling. I didnt feel any level of personalized service or care. He seems to be very knowledgeable, but should be in a lab somewhere rather than interacting with people and their pets. Grooming services are pretty good and the office staff is nice.

Loved the staff and the veterinarian. Living in philly for a while you really appreciate great customer service and this place has it. Will definitely be a repeat customer

I was considering giving them my business as I am new to Philly, but the receptionist was so rude AND inept that I will take my business elsewhere.

This place is beyond bad...the receptionist and vet are both total duches, and the vet is totally creepy and sleazy. Do not go here.
