I live very close to the hospital and I always thought that this hospital had high standards but not when i went to the emergency room. I went at 12 am with severe headaches and nausea. OCT would not do anything. I was lingering in those chairs just waiting till 4:30 am when I got called back was given some medicine that did not help and it took 2 hours after to print some papers to discharge me . They would say only one doctor for 40 rooms which were all full so no rooms. Why accept people when you cannot handle them? Turn them away so we could not suffer like hell. Absolutely horrible. It felt like a torture room so many people in pain and no one seemed to care. They would let people who did not seem to be in pain while others who were just sat there. And the staff so rude especially the nurses that attend you. I felt like someone was making them be there not like it was the job they are getting paid for, I went to Aria hospital and the service was great. Things seemed to be moving fast. Staff was enough to accommodate and make you feel like you matter. They ran blood tests other procedures while when I went to Nazareth they didnt even take blood pressure. Just sat me there. I do not understand how you call yourself a hospital. Absolutely never. Id rather drive 2 more miles to Aria in pain then here. I hate the fact that you are the close hospital because you are the worst institution ever.Where did the five star reviews corm from . It needs to definitely be shut down.

Welcome to Nazareth Hospital Resort !!! Here you will find a relaxing setting beautifully manicured grounds and the helipad for your fast exit !!! The check in process is painful and will make you wonder why you didnt go Jeans Hospital or better yet a local veterinarian clinic !! On average it takes between 2 to 4 hours to be seen by Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde !! Its highly unlikely that youll be admitted into this fine resort unless youre dying of malaria or your leg is severed and its hanging on by a thin piece of rotting flesh. The world-class food service consists of one coffee machine one soda machine and one food machine and its not unusualto see people bringing in food from McDonalds and other establishments before they come to this emergency resort. I have witnessed firsthand a client in the emergency resort department that had waited more than five hours and decided to order a pizza which was delivered right to his chair. The staff Didnt think anything of it if almost like it was normal. The best times to come to the emergency resort is in the afternoon or early in the morning but never after 6 oclock at night for the reason you will be waiting for countless hours to be seen. Lastly make sure you have your insurance card with you and your ID because this fine establishment only excepts cash and insurance and if you do not have insurance no services will be provided, you will be turned away !!!

This has to be one of the worst hospitals in the Philadelphia area. My mother is constantly ill, so when she is transported to a hospital via ambulance, they usually take her to Nazareth, because its closer and usually has a bed available moreso than Frankford-Torresdale. Anyway, approx. 2 years ago, my mom was taken there via ambulance and was kept overnight. They allegedly ran tests and then stated that she suffered from Hepatitis. Well, this was news to her because she goes to the doctor quite often...always has blood drawn...and was never told this. She kept asking if they were sure, as she had recently had blood work done less than 60 days ago at her primary physicians office and they claimed yes, she has hepatitis. Fast forward a few days after discharge from HELL-zareth and she wasnt feeling any better. She was then admitted to Jefferson Hospital while on a visit with her primary physician for a follow-up...came to find out that she had a COLLAPSED LUNG that was present during her stay at Hell-Zareth and not one doc detected it. Jeff also ran a battery of tests and blood work and guess what? NO HEPATITIS. Oh wow, could it be a possibility that Hell-zareth mixed up someone elses results with my moms? Hmmm, I wonder....and lets not talk about the rude, abrasive staff that works there....they should be stripped of all licensure.

Do to the snow my wifes doctor appointment was Monday moved to Thursday do to the doctors office being closed. My wife ran out of meds on Sunday, Wednesday she was going thu withdraw and about to have a seizure so i rushed her to the ER of Nazareth Hospital. We where seen fast and put in a room. 20min later after my wifes crying about to have a seizure from the questions and being made feel like a drug addict, She was givein one 5mil pill and a script for 15-5mil pills and sent home. My wifes daily dose is one pill 4x a day at 7.5mill and she was shaking like a leaf still as we walked out. The script was not right at 5/300, The RiteAids dont carry them only 5/325 ones they carry. Went back to the ER to get a fixed script waited 30mins and had to leave my wife needed me and i had to make dinner for my 3 kids. Hey Doctors and people at Nazareth Hospital NOT everyone on thes pills are drug addicts! My wifes been on them same meds same dose over 5 years and shes been in your ER 2 or 3x over the years from haveing seizures. Over 8 years ago we went to Nazareth Hospital for my wifes very first seizure, My grand mom died at Nazareth Hospital and i was bring in to this world in Nazareth Hospital for god sake my 10 year old just got 6 stiches in her hand at Nazareth Hospital. But i will never step foot in Nazareth Hospital ever again.

My father died in this hospital due to negligence from the doctors. The nurse told me that the doctors here are not paid enough so they dont spend enough time with the patients. I stayed overnight and witnessed that they turn off the heat after visiting hours, to save money. It was a cold winter and my father had pneumonia. I showed the doctor red spots on my fathers skin and he told me its probably just bruises. My dad confirmed those were not bruises and they just appeared. That was a sign of septic shock, which needs immediate treatment. They figured this out during the shift of the next (real) doctor. By that point it was too late. One of my neighbors was having a heart attack and Nazareth Hospital didnt think anything was wrong with him. They left him on his bed unattended for hours. He finally just got up and left. Took the bus, went to Jefferson, where he was treated and they saved his life. Another neighbor was on life support at Nazareth, and they wanted to pull the plug because there was not much they could do. The family transferred the patient to Jefferson. She is still alive and it has been 10 years. She will live probably many more years as she is in good shape. I can go on all day. I wanted to sue but my relatives told me not to. They are religious and wanted to leave the dead alone.
