When choosing an optometrist there are many providers listed in advertisement, insurance websites and reviews. I used these resources to find Dr. Roberta Horwitz’s Eye Care for You office. I was highly satisfied with my visit from start to finish based on the high level of service, expertise, and family-based business practice. The office is a newly renovated space that is open and illuminated to showcase the extensive selection of eyeglass frames. Debbie, the office manager, was warm and friendly and efficiently got me checked in with health information. I then met with Dr. Horwitz for an informative and thorough eye examination. It did not just involve the standard routine; but included comparison to past prescriptions, explanation of your field of vision, and diagnostic tools to insure overall optic health. She ensured that all of my questions and concerns were addressed before we moved onto frame selection. Entering a large wall of frames can initially be intimidating, but I was pleasantly surprised when the entire office staff assisted me in choosing a pair of frames I would love for years to come. Dr. Roberta Horwitz chose 6 frames that she thought showcased my face and even helped steer me out of my comfort zone into shapes and colors that I normally would not have chosen. Debbie then helped my narrow down my selection to 3 frames as she continued her daily tasks. Lastly Julia, Roberta’s mother, emerged from the back office to help me make the final decision. I was pretty sure I knew which pair I liked the most but Julia confirmed my instinct. I have not had this level of service and assistance in over 25 years (I was a kid)! I picked up my new eyeglasses in a timely fashion and we ensured that they fit well, vision was clear, and that I was highly satisfied with my purchase. This experience was so positive that I recommended my partner to get his new eyeglasses and exam from Roberta. His prescription is much more complex to fill, but he too was astounded at the quality of care, truly Eye Care for You! We both highly recommend her practice, office, and expertise. We surely will be her happy patients for years to come!

Its a most uncommon experience to look forward to visiting a healthcare professional but thats what makes Dr. Horwitzs Point Breeze eye care practice so unique in my opinion. Her high level of knowledge and expertise is far beyond what I have experienced in other offices or well known chain stores. What makes her 25 + year practice so special beyond her passion for the profession is the personal commitment she has to her patients needs. In addition to using the latest diagnostic equipment, I always feel that I have her undivided attention and that she understands and addresses my situation clearly. Her staff is very engaging and helpful in the frame selection process also. She offers so many attractive and unique frames that it really helps to have experienced staff assist in finding the best fit for my appearance. I feel confident that when my appointment is finished I leave seeing clearly and looking good at a reasonable price. I recently got the Switch frames for cycling that have so positively improved my performance! I never would have found them without Dr. Horwitz. Theres no "one size fits all" mentality in this office. In fact it doesnt even look like an office. More like a vacation beach cottage! A totally pleasant experience in every way. I recommend Dr. Horwitz without reservation for excellent eye care and great eyewear with a truly personalized experience.

She was able to see me on short notice. I needed new glasses to pass the vision test for my drivers license. The assistant was friendly and nice. The only problem was I was kept waiting after my initial exam for 25 minutes which made me late for my next appointment.
