After visiting Eyes on Regent Square for a yearly eye exam I checked out and paid for the examination fee in full by credit card. At no time did I ever present any employee of Eyes on Regent Square with my insurance card or authorize their representatives to bill my personal insurance. Yet a few weeks after services were provided and after I had paid for their services in full, I received notification that Eyes on Regent Square had attempted to double bill my insurance carrier. Their second attempt at receiving payment was denied by my carrier. Im not sure if this was a one time mistake or an ongoing business practice, but it seems to me they went out of their way to attempt to receive a double payment that they were not entitled to. Thinking I would give them another chance and that this was simply a one time mistake I recently attempted to schedule another yearly eye exam appointment. After confirming my appointment with their support staff I receive a follow up phone call a few days later. The Optometrist called to inform me that I was no longer welcome in their office, "I wasnt a good fit," and proceeded to hang up on me. Disgraceful behavior at best possible criminal at worst. Avoid this office at your own risk! I would give them zero stars if I could!

I have been bothered all day about my experience at Eyes on Regent Square, and was glad to see some of the reviews that validated how I was feeling. The doctor "lectured" me about not having glasses. I explained what I was told after cataract surgery, and she spoke to me in a very condescending way. She even sounded a bit sarcastic when she said, "I think you had better get a little pair of glasses." With that she walked out. She never addressed my concerns. Then I was rushed regarding choosing a frame. I am a retired RN of 46 years. I have never treated a patient the way I was treated there. Will pick up my glasses when they are ready, and will not return. Lesson learned.

I have been going to Eyes on Regent Square for 25 years. Dr. Maureen Kamons is a compassionate and phenomenal Optometrist who I completely trust with the health and well-being of my eyes, eye sight and vision. I have been so well taken care of by Dr. Kamons and her staff. The Eye Care Center Manager, Tony is the best! He is warm, welcoming and makes me feel special as a loyal customer. And their selection of frames, in-house technology, customer satisfaction, and experience and training is the best in the city!! I highly recommend Eyes on Regent Square to everyone!!

Really helpful staff, nice selection of frames, too bad doc. ruins it for them. She is a bully…..went back three times, to no avail (although staff worked to help me). Instead of saying "Im not sure how to help you" she was simply belligerent, and tried to blame me for not being able to see well with her failed prescriptions. Had to go to Eyetique where they mopped up her mess. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Im not kidding-really bad. There is no way they are looking for repeat business. So bad I thought I was being "punked".

Dr. Kamons is friendly and professional. Getting an appointment is easy and no long waits in the waiting room. Staff is friendly. My optician went over options with me and was not pushing options on me that I did not want. They were able to set me up with prescription sun glasses that I use often. They were patient with me as I took pictures of myself in many frames so my friends could weigh in on the right look for me. They also were able to put my old lenses in a new frame after my dog broke the old pair in half.

I always have an amazing experience at Eyes On Regent Square. They go above and beyond for their patients. Dr. Kamons is such an amazing and extremely professional eye doctor. She makes sure to take her time to ensure you have the best experience and walk out with everything you need. Everyone in the office is super friendly and the atmosphere is great. If youre looking for the perfect pair of glasses, Matt is your guy. He really knows what hes doing!

Eyes on Regent Square has been my glasses provider for 3 years and the staff have always been pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. At times the practitioner can be abrupt and a bit curt. During my last visit she was a bit more relaxed yet not perceptibly comfortable with small talk. Their location, payment options and timeliness in moving me through the appointment make it worth it since most of my time was spent with her staff.

Dr. Kamons is great, and her staff is top-notch. Exams are thorough and she takes the time to answer all questions. The frame selection is vast, with something for everybody, from very conservative to very funky, and with a variety of price points. Best of all, Eyes on Regent Square is a locally owned small business, which means excellent customer service and attention which you will never find at a big chain optometry operation.

"Patronizing and bullying" are mentioned more that once in these reviews. It is very accurate! Dont go here unless you know exactly what you want and cannot be swayed, because they will try to sell you everything you dont need. I went once and saw a very lovely doctor. My second time around I was unfortunate enough to get the owner. I will not go back. She was very rude and condescending, to say the least.

Great and warm Felt a family and positive atmosphere and so up to date with their machines very nice and fast. Great selection. I cant wait to get my frames *edit just got my frames in less than 2weeks and they are gorgeous! I love this place. And will be back for my next pair and all my Dr visits. She was so relaxed and comforting.

They accept our insurance, and are close to home. The doctor is also just plain mean. The first time I gave her the benefit of the doubt, since everyone can have a bad day (and the rest of the office was helpful), I returned a second time, and that will be my last. Patronizing and bullying are the two best adjectives.

I have a an eye condition that needs monitoring, so I have spent a fair amount of time in this office over the past six years. I am a physician, and I appreciate Dr. Kamons no nonsense approach to protecting my vision. The front staff are excellent and work hard to help me getting frames, lenses and fit just right.

The people at the office are friendly, upbeat and accommodating. My daughter got a comprehensive eye exam, and although she was nervous beforehand, the Dr. put her at ease by her caring demeanor. It was a much better experience than with other optometrists in the area. We definitely recommend this place!!

Hours are accommodating to my work schedule. The male optometrist is very pleasant. The female doctor was very unpleasant, rude, and apathetic. I would of went somewhere else if it wasnt so close to home. I like the eye glass wear selection although there isnt a large selection.

Best place in Pittsburgh for eye care. I have been going here for years and the staff, services, and prices just keep getting better. Dr. Kamons is just phenomenal. Dr. Kamons and her staff treat you like family and take great care of you. Would not go anywhere else.
