Coventry Family Care is a medical clinic located in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The clinic has been in operation for several years and offers a range of healthcare services. However, the clinic has garnered mixed reviews from patients, which raises questions about the quality of care and customer service provided.
One recurring issue mentioned by multiple reviewers is the long wait times when calling the clinic. Patients have reported waiting for up to an hour on the phone before speaking to a representative. This has been a significant concern for those seeking urgent medical advice or appointments.
Another common complaint is the lack of responsiveness from the clinic's staff. Patients have reported that calls to the advice nurse often go unanswered for days. This has led to growing concerns about the clinic's ability to handle medical emergencies or provide timely referrals.
While some reviewers have praised the doctors for their knowledge and kindness, others have criticized them for seeming rushed and uninterested in patient concerns. This inconsistency in the quality of medical care has been a point of contention among patients.
Patients have also raised concerns about the clinic's approach to medication and treatment. For example, one reviewer mentioned that the clinic refused to schedule a "normal" appointment for an asthma prescription, insisting on a "medication" appointment with a three-week wait.
Several reviewers have noted a high turnover rate among the clinic's staff, which has led to a lack of continuity in care. This has been particularly problematic for patients who prefer to see the same doctor for each visit.
The attitude of the front desk staff has also been a subject of criticism. Patients have described the staff as slow, unfriendly, and at times, rude. This has contributed to an overall negative experience for many who visit the clinic.
The reviews for Coventry Family Care paint a mixed picture. While some patients have had positive experiences, many others have raised serious concerns about the clinic's customer service and quality of care. These reviews suggest that potential new clients should carefully consider these factors before choosing Coventry Family Care for their healthcare needs.

This place is a disgrace. A couple years ago I called for an appointment and was pleasantly surprised with the woman who spoke with me over the phone and when I went in, she was equally as pleasant in person. I found out (by her) that she was there to help boost customer satisfaction, which, honestly, did NOT surprise me one bit that they needed help in that area. I have stayed throughout the years because I am rarely in need of medical care and it was a hassle to switch as they CHAREGE $25 for the last two years of records OR $1 PER PAGE for your WHOLE record which could amount to a lot of money. So I had been putting it off. The last straw was this past time when I was I need of care. I was in such bad pain that I had thought something may have burst in my stomach. Yes, I could have gone to the ER but with insurance the way it is and having three kids, its way too expensive if its not a necessity. So, I called and got connected with the on call service so that the on call doc would be able to talk with me as the office was not open. That was 6:30 am. At 8:30, when they open, I HAD YET TO HEAR BACK AT ALL! I called when they were open, explained the fact that I called in the early a.m. and no one called back and that I wanted to talk with the nurse. Three hours later, I called back and was told they were out for lunch, someone would call me after. I then called an hour before they closed as I had yet NOT heard from anyone (and folks, they have a nurse that her job is to make return calls!). I was told that the nurse is aware of my call and that she will call in the order in which it was received. TWO DAYS LATER, NO CALL BACK....FROM ANYONE. That was it. As much as I hated it, I had to make an appointment because I was feeling worse and was worried and the new doctors that we wanted to transfer to couldnt take me as a new patient right away so I was stuck. I went in, got seen by a doctor (which their doctors are not bad...its EVERYTHING else) and got the meds needed to make me feel well again. I encourage new clients to think again before using this office...they NEED TO GET THE MESSAGE...you cant treat people as though they are disposable. They should be ashamed of the service they provide when it comes to the front desk and the call times. I have, in OVER FIVE occasions, sat and waited an HOUR on the phone before someone picked up. I have been placed ON HOLD FOR OVER 25 minutes, after which I had hung up most of the times. The front staff is typically slow, unfriendly and at times very rude. How is this acceptable and how is it that they owner/manager does not see this as a priority to fix?????? STAY FAR AWAY!

This place is horrific...I honestly have no idea how they stay in business. The doctors seem more interested getting you out the door quickly than actually listening to you. The staff is more often rude and unpleasant. HUGE turn-around there, dont get used to anyone. We are ALWAYS WAITING ON THE PHONE for 15-35 minutes, EVERY SINGLE TIME, without exageration...weve kept track. The doctors rarely seem pro-active in getting your issues solved when its not an easy fix. You are next to never acknowledged when you walk in and its amazing if you get a smile from anyone. When calling into the advice nurse, I have typically waited two days to hear back from them. Currently, I am waiting for the second day for a call back on an issue that is a growing concern for my health but due to insurance I am unable to reffer myself to a specialist so I NEED a doctors refferal...yet I CANT get one because I dont get called back!!! I would NEVER reffer this group to anyone as you may wait just long enough to become seriously ill from not being listened to or not being taken seriously or just called back for that matter. I have just found a new group, a husband and wife practice and am ensured that it will NOT be a revolving door and I will be taken seriously and ARE proactive in every case. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!

I would love to be able to tell you about my experience with Coventry Family Care, however, I have been unable to get an appointment scheduled to see a doctor. I am not sure why this practice calls themselves a "family care" facility when they cant accomodate families and the clearly dont "care" about their patients. Before I selected them as my primary care provider I called them to make sure they were accomodating on scheduling appointments - as a single mother and the sole provider for our family it is not always easy to take off work. They assured me they were very accomodating...unfortunately that is not true. I have asthma and have been out a prescription for several days and they have refused to see me through a "normal" appointment - they want me to schedule a "medication" appointment and there is a 3 week wait. What?!?!?

Im not one to normally write reviews, but seeing as how Eileen is the only person who has decided to write anything about this practice I feel I must. I am 26 years old and I have been going to Coventry Family Care since I was a baby. My sister and mother still go there (I have moved and their practice is too far away for me now). The doctors are kind and knowledgeable, and have made many last minute appointments for me and my family in our time of need. I never had a problem in all 24 years I went there. I recommend them to anyone living in the area. The only reason they are not getting a 5 is that occasionally one of the receptionists can be really grumpy.

My daughter and I were patients there many years ago. She had such a bad case of pink eye her eye looked like it was filled with blood. I contacted the dr. on call and he yelled at me for bothering him (he wouldnt give us the okay to take her to the emergency room). I made an appt. and she was given drops for her eye. The problem continued to get worse and we were sent to a specialist. He told us that what she was given could have caused her to lose her sight in that eye. That was the last straw. All the problems wed had there are too many to list here. And just recently my brother followed his doctor there and he said it hasnt gotten any better.

I have been a patient here for 10 years and recently saw such a huge change that I have to write a review. I made an appointment to see the doctor I have been seeing for the entire 10 years. I had a couple of items I wanted to talk with the doctor about but I was rudely told by the scheduling person that I was ONLY ALLOWED TO ASK ONE QUESTION PER VISIT!! Are you serious?? They want to charge you an additional co-pay and bill the insurance company for another visit just to ask a question? Needless to say I am now looking for a new doctor to use. I do agree with the others that the women in front are very rude as well.
