While the staff were friendly, the clinic was not very presentable and seemed to be either understaffed or inefficiently run. I took my wife there at 6pm on this particular day and were told that we should expect a wait of 45 minutes to an hour. Since we had to pay in advance, we decided to wait it out. We ended up waiting for 3 hours for our name to even be called and were leapfrogged by at least one other patient. Once we were called the nurse was friendly but we then waited another 20 minutes or so to see Dr. Schmidt. The visit took around 15 minutes. While he was friendly and quickly gave us a diagnosis and perscription, he then proceeded to speak about his advanced nutrition degree and gave us an informational packet that he had written that talked about proper vitamin doses. I felt this to be an unnecessary use of time given that it was 9:30 at this point and there were other patients waiting on him as he seemed to be the only doctor on shift. The walls of the clinic itself were covered in spots of joint compound as if paint repairs had been paused half way. And when I say covered, the patches were all over the waiting room, exam room and halls. My last gripe is a safety concern in that the used sharp (needle) box in the exam room was unlocked and had the key still in the lock. That didnt make me feel particularly comfortable with the safety practices of the facility. Again the staff were kind, but the rest of my experience cannot justify anything more than a single star. Hopefully this was an exception and not the rule, but we will not be back.

I waited for about 45 min. in the lobby this past Sunday. Then, I was questioned and put into a room where I waited for another 45 min. I walked out, questioned the nurse who put me into the exam room regarding the wait time...she told me I was next. I heard the doctor in the hallway and then heard that he went to another room when I was next. Fifteen minutes later, I popped out again and inquired about what was going on, the nurse then directed the dr. to my room again. When the doctor entered he proceeded to berate me and tell me that my case of poison ivy must be one for the journals. That I couldnt possibly experience on my body what I related to him would happen to me regarding PI....like Im making it up???!!! (For the record, I hold 2 Masters and a Principals cert.) He continued to question me regarding the PI... and because I said that I didnt wipe down my impermeable plastic boots (that I would leave outside the house) he was convinced that I was recontaminating myself with the PI residue. He finally gave me a shot of cortisone to help ease the itchiness and outbreak, but not before reprimanding me. Dr. Schmidt was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. Two hours later and reprimanded severely, I finally got out of the office. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. So this review does not accurately portray the office itself...just Dr. Schmidt.

For the most part i am very happy with my care. I was given complete misdiagnosis and half a mistreatment. I went in for a weird rash on my leg and poisen ivy on my arms. I left with a cortazone shot and perscription for steroids for my poisen ivy and a diagnosis of cellulitis on my leg(what was described by the doctor as life threatening). I was given a course of antibiotics for a week for that. I ened up going to chester county hospital 3 days after finishing my antibiotics because the rash had subsided but i was still having patchy spots of it on both my legs. Under examination from the hospital it was correctly diagnosed as a severe reaction to poisen ivy. The steroids i was given by doctors express was for only 6 days. The hospital informed me that it should have been for 3 weeks. And that it should never have been diagnosed as cellulitis due to the the fact that after a google search to show me it looked nothing like what i had and half the symptoms were in fact missing. The antibiotics made me feel like crap and caused a loss of appitite for a week i am very unhappy about my care and lack of propper medical attention by what should have been a doctor.

Took my 4 year old son in with what I thought was hives. He looked at it, said it wasnt hives. I was surprised since I suffered from them my whole life, but then again hes the doctor. Said it was a ringworm rash, showed me pictures of a rash (that to me, didnt even look like what my son was experiencing) and prescribed $140 anti-fungal meds. I was skeptical and felt that it wasnt ringworm at all. My gut feeling told me to wait until morning to give him this medication. Well, next day my son woke up hive free. The hives completely disappeared. My son also had two little bumps on his head which he didnt look at too much or reassure me that it wasnt anything serious. Just said that it "might have to do with the rash" and went on to talk about ringworm. I give 3 stars because he was very friendly and great with my son and wait wasnt long at all. Very affordable for those (like us) without insurance currently because of a job change. I was a little disappointed that we were misdiagnosed. I know doctors can make mistakes, but I cant help but feel that I was taken as seriously with my concerns.

Although the medical care I received was satisfactory, I was not happy with the billing situation. My insurance carrier said all but a few doctors (usually a small practice) would not bill me, but send the bill to my carrier directly. To my disappointment, Doctors Express insisted that I pay them directly. Because of that, DoctorsExpress is supposed to send my bill to my carrier who will then have to send me a check. On top of that, my carrier stated that the average cost for my visit was $100, and a higher than average cost was $124. I was charged $185. Wanna bet I will have to remind them to send my bill to my carrier? They probably insisted I pay since they knew my carrier would never pay them $185. Last time I will ever go there.

FRIENDLY, CLEAN & SERVICE ;) nice! - The staff and nurse that took are information & vitals were all friendly. It was my first time going so the receptionist called the insurance to make sure all the services were going to be covered. Dr. Schmidt was fantastic. Was given clear instruction on how and what to do initially and once getting we got home. Was also reassured to come back if needed, but didnt need to. The office is clean and offered bottled water because the water fountains were out of order. This office has extended hours and weekend hours too - this is good since falling sick has its own schedule!!! :/ - I believe they have on site x-ray and blood works - but not completely sure. Overall a great experience :)

I have visited your office many times. Mostly for UTI where seeing someone in a timely fashion is my first concern. Anyone who has extreme pain from UTIs knows what I am talking about. My last visit came after going to my family dr during walk-in hours. After waiting 2 1/2 hrs my husband had to get to work so we left and I came straight to you. My wait was short even though there were several people waiting to be seen. The receptionist even made it a point to come out to my seat and explain why someone was called in before me. How nice was that! I would like to thank the entire staff for being kind, listening to my concerns and responding with care.
