To even see a psychiatrist here you have to do an intake with a therapist. It is an annoying hoop to jump through but I made the appointment anyway. I showed up to this appointment and they had cancelled it!! They said they cancel all first time appointments if you dont call them back to confirm. I rescheduled but, unfortunately, couldnt get a babysitter for this second appointment. When you walk in to the office there is a sign that says "no food or drink" and another sign that instructs you to keep an eye on your children and not let them run around. I also noticed that the books were located behind the desk and you had to ask to borrow them. None of these things are a big deal, but thats when I started to see that this office expects you to bend over backwards for them but they wont lift a finger for you. Quality Behavioral Health also requires you to be in therapy to see their psychiatrists. It seems like a racket to make more money for them because there are a lot of psychiatric illnesses that can be well controlled with medicine and dont require ongoing therapy (ADHD and anxiety are two examples). The therapist and the psychiatrist both seemed annoyed that I brought my one year old, saying "this room isnt child friendly" and "Is he going to be able to make it the full hour?" I got a lot of the same questions from both of them, which, to me defeated the point of doing an intake in the first place, wasting my time, but making them a little more money. The psychiatrist was 15 minutes late for my appointment but Im sure if I were 15 minutes late they would have canceled my appointment. While in the waiting room I overheard the receptionist tell a patient that they were being charged for their missed appointment. I was also informed that patients have to fill out a long survey every single time you come in. So, if you have to keep an eye on your child I hope you know how to multitask. Or if you just want to relax with a magazine, youre out of luck too. I doubt they actually read the surveys because if they did they would not treat their patients so poorly. There were a surprising number of children there. Maybe there arent enough child psychiatrists in the area. Neither the therapist or the psychiatrist were warm or friendly. In fact, I felt slightly interrogated. The icing on the cake was at the end of the psychiatrists appointment when I was told that they do a drug screening on all their patients. Trust is so important for the relationship between mental health professionals and their patients. I dont think they realize how damaging that act is. It starts the relationship off with the statement that they dont trust you. At this point I had decided that I would not be using their services but I provided the urine sample because, when put on the spot like that, declining is as good as saying youre guilty. If they will drug test their patients I am sure there is no limit to what other impositions they will come up with.

I have no complaints about the majority of the staff, but "Doctor" ruggiano is the most closed-minded physician Ive ever seen. After 8 months of seeing various specialists for various symptoms stemming from a hyper responsive central nervous system, and having that diagnosis confirmed over and over, John diagnosed me after 5 minutes with bipolar based solely on family history, not personal history and symptom expression. He wanted to treat my anxiety and panic attacks with lamictal, a mood stabilizer used for people with bipolar. Sadly, he fails to understand that anxiety is not caused by one single mechanism, and therefore cannot be treated with one single treatment. There is a major difference between anxiety caused by a hyper responsive central nervous system, and mood instability, and if that is not recognized, then it cannot be treated properly. Its the equivalent of trying to treat a viral infection with an antibiotic. The mechanisms are entirely different, and cannot be treated the same way. Central nervous system depressants such as gaba agonists and benzodiazepines are the only way to chemically treat severe anxiety and panic attacks caused by a hyper responsive central nervous system, and someone that has chosen psychiatry as a specialty and practiced it for over 45 years should be able to understand and acknowledge that. Some doctors are just not meant to practice medicine and dont deserve the power and responsibility that comes with it. Its time to step down, John, and be replaced by someone more capable of properly treating the people that put their life and well-being in your hands.

I am usually very skeptical of counselors and psychiatrists because of past experiences however I have been extremely happy with Dr. Audit and Dr. Andrews of Quality Behavioral. These ladies have been fantastic with my 14 yr old daughter. They are kind, understanding, completely nonjudgmental and very intelligent. My daughter has a hard time opening up to people but she has really opened up with these two. They have been great at setting reasonable goals for her that dont overwhelm her. I would refer this place to anyone, but in particular teens. Fantastic place!!

I called yesterday, left my name and number, was told someone would call me right back. Well apparently the truth of the matter was that they hadnt taken my number down at all. I called today to find out why no one had called and they didnt seem a bit concerned to have left me waiting. One would think that if a business is meant to help people deal with issues that the people in charge would stress the importance of valuing the time and efforts of those reaching out for help. In this case that doesnt appear to be so.

At first they were good, I was with this place for 2 years. I switched doctors because he was not listening to me. My new dr who was dr ruggiano (who should be well over retired) was the worst dr. Last appoinment I had he rushed me out of their to take a personal phone call without any medication. I tried asking him. Then when i request a new one they kick me out of there. They All are terrible there and the business should be shut down. I DONT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO GO HERE.

I am only here because of Dr.Audet, my sons developmental pediatrician. She recently moved to this practice. This place is supposed to be disability friendly, but.its not. They do not take state insurance which is usually what our kiddos have as a secondary, to cover co-pays, etc. There are no bathrooms for patients to use on the second floor. Which is a big inconvenience,

Awful, awful, awful! Horrible customer service, ridiculous use of new policies used to line the pockets of the business, and a complete lack of knowledge of how an office should be ran. Sad to say that after being a patient here for almost 4 years I will now have to find a new doctor because of ludicrous policies they use to rip people off even if you follow their rules.
