Dr Stapleton is nice, but attention to detail is not a strength. Her office receptionist has the personality of a wall of paint drying, and is often curt and short both on the phone and in person. However, the biggest complaint is, even though there is a significant charge just to be a patient (with no medical care given, just to be able to be a patient), she refers most issues out to other Drs, and doesnt check out who she is referring to. Three times, I was referred to Drs who either did not do what she referred me for, or could not help because they were the wrong specialty for the issue. Cost me 6 Co-pays instead of three due to being sent to the wrong Doc! I ended up having to do my own research for the appropriate Dr. For the extra almost $2000 per year membership fee, I would expect better service than from other purely symptom relief Drs (instead of addressing the root cause). Instead the service was just picking a name off a list. Cannot recommend this Doc!

Dr. Stapleton has been my husband and my doctor for six years now. We really like and respect Dr. Stapleton. We have always found her responsive and caring. When we reach out to Dr. Stapleton she always gets back to us in a timely fashion. She is very well regarded within the MUSC medical community and has often helped us navigate the sometime cumbersome scheduling process that a larger organization like MUSC has and helps us get appointments. She has been a God send to my husband and I, and we are very grateful for her efforts on our behalf.

Dr Sarah Stapleton has been my primary care physician for more than 10 yrs after I began to experience several serious medical issues. Im most appreciative for the excellent choices shes made with referrals to critical care specialist MDs. Im speaking as survivor of a wide range of medical ailments from childhood polio-4 spin surgeries and most recently a thankful cancer survivor. I truly feel that she is a wonderful personal physician to me and many others like me who place great trust and value in the MDVIP program!!!
