This place was recommended to me by my co-workers. My appointment was at 3:30 and I ended up getting out of there a little after 5:00. I cant tell you exactly why I spent so much time there being that they were only doing X-Rays. The dental assistant seemed as if she was in a rush & the dentist was ok for the most part but during the middle of him examining my mouth, he told me that my lips were chapped/dry and he asked the dental assistant to hand me some Chapstick. I didnt think anything of it at the time but when I spoke of my experience at work, everyone was shocked that the dentist had even said that. When I asked to have a copy of my Xrays the dental assistant had told me that its against their policy to give their patients a copy of their Xrays and she also said that she never had anyone to ask for their Xrays just to have them for their own records, like it wasnt of the norm. The only accurate information she gave me was that they will email my Xrays to another dentist if I wanted to have second opinion. Also, I was blown away by how many cavities they told me I had. The last Xray I had in August of 2016 had read that I didnt have any cavities but according to the Dentist at Advanced, I had "eleven cavities". I thought that was extreme and the way they stretched my treatment plan out to use up all of my insurance was ridiculous. The dental assistant also stuck this red object in my mouth to take pictures of my teeth & for some reason, they couldnt get the pictures to come out right & it was painful having to bite down on it. Ive never experienced that kind of pain before and she kept just taking it out of my mouth and placing it back in without asking if Im ok or warning me that shes about to remove it from my mouth. I wanted to scream at her but I kept my composure because Im aware that some things may cause a little discomfort but good grief, that was a little too painful for me. I could barely bite down on it due to my cheeks! I really cant see how they got 5 stars, it makes you wonder if they remove all of the negative reviews & keep the positive reviews..you never know. I had to come back the next day during my lunch break to get my Xrays when I couldve just got them when I asked for them during my visit. They already billed my insurance so this was a waste of one of the two visits they will cover. Never again! I wish South Carolina really paid attention to the reviews being left on a lot of these businesses because its hard to find a good Dentist, Hospital, just about anything down here. Please beware of the unnecessary charges/dental work if you come here or any place else. Always read the reviews & make sure you ask the Dentist to show you exactly where your cavities are on your X-Rays. Its a shame we pay insurance for this kind of service. I think Im going to head back to VA for proper/honest care!

Went there Monday with a bad toothache to find an empty parking lot with nobody waiting at 1:00 and was told they did not have any open slots and the earliest I could be seen was 8:00 the next morning they work by appointment only. The place looks nice so I said I can wait then. Big waste of time and mouth pain. I only got x-rays and an estimate for a bunch of overpriced work I was not asking for. With my insurance I get 2 free cleanings a year and they wanted $180.00 with insurance just to clean my teeth. $80.00 with insurance to pull a tooth and several other overpriced procedures. It seems like they just took what the insurance would pay for a procedure and just doubled the price and I am responsible for the rest at the time of service. Left there with my mouth still hurting and went to a real dentist and got the antibiotic I needed for the infection I had due to a bad tooth at no charge because my insurance paid for it and I am scheduled for a free cleaning next week. Thats a lot cheaper than the total $700.00 estimate I got from Advanced Dental Center and guess what Carolina Regional Dentals parking lot was almost full and they saw me the same day with no appointment.

Called at 6:00 on Friday to see if they could pull a tooth because there website says: At Advanced Dental Center of Florence, we offer emergency and evening appointments for your convenience. We understand that you may not be able to get to us right away, but for your emergency case we’ll be happy to leave the lights on for you. Contact us and ask for an evening appointment if you are otherwise unable to make our normal hours. Your dental health is our top priority, and we will never turn away a patient due to timing. Well the lady answering says no we are closed. I asked why there website said they were open for emergency and she stated she didnt know she didnt know that it did. False hope on having my tooth pulled. So if you are in pain dont waste your time calling here. She could have cared less. But there website makes it sound like they care so much for emergencies.

In a world where businesses hide behind policies or loop holes and forget their humanity, this group proved to be a shining beacon of how companies are supposed to view and treat customers. I had a credit on my account for some work that was planned when a personal matter caused me to need those funds. On Monday I called and requested them and was told they would be ready Thursday (today). Well, due to an oops on their end, the check wasnt there. Expecting to receive a run around, I was blown away with the office manager and the extent that he went to to right the issue. MEAGAN OCT 14, 2011 0054 AM- Dr. Rogers is an awesome dentist! I have only known her for a short time. My first visit was about a month ago. She made me feel very welcome and at ease. She is very willing to answer questions and explain what she is going to do. She, along with the staff there, are very professional and friendly. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I look foward to seeing her and the staff at my next scheduled 6 months check up!! If you need a good dentist...Give Dr. Rogers a call.. With her you are in good hands!

Dr. Griffin and his wonderful staff along with everyone at Advanced Dental Center have always gone above and beyond to help me in every way possible! From a regular teeth cleaning to helping me figure out other issues that required more attention, they have been there to help me every step of the way. I love their attention to detail and the time they spend caring for me. The quality of their care speaks volumes. I will continue to refer anyone to this practice. It is so nice to feel comfortable at a dentists office and this is where I feel at home!
