This is the first review Ive ever written online, but, with how bad of an experience I had, I deemed it worth my time to write a review. The doctor was condescending and jumped straight to conclusions when I brought my dog in last Thursday. My dog had a seizure early that morning, so I decided to bring her in. Immediately, the doctor told me that she had distemper, essentially implying that I was going to have to put my dog down due to the degenerative nature of the disease. This conclusion was based purely on physical presentation, and he jumped to talking about how there is a very bad prognosis without even asking about doing blood work or any type of further analysis. Luckily, my girlfriend and I had a premonition that she had some type of an allergic reaction, so we asked for the blood and urine to be tested. Throughout the whole experience, the doctor made it seem as if there was no other possibility than distemper, which obviously caused my girlfriend and I to be extremely upset. My dog showed lots of improved by the end of the day, and by the next day, she was back to acting completely normal. Once the blood work returned the next week, it showed that she didnt have distemper. There were some abnormalities on the tests, but nothing nearly as serious as distemper. I understand completely that people make mistakes, but the doctor acted completely sure, to the point where there was no hope expressed for any other type of possibility. Reasonable prices, but I am never taking either of my dogs to this waste of a business.

Excellent vet services for an incredible price! You really cannot beat a vet clinic that is more mission-focused rather than profit-driven. Dr. Adcock is brilliant in his field and operates with a low overhead so people can afford vet services for their pets. He was recommended to us by a friend when we got our Siberian Husky pup and we have been with him ever since. Sadly, our sweet boy was hit by a car last week so he needed surgery. Dr. Adcock always gives you all of your options and really knows his field. He focuses on whats necessary and doesnt bother with unnecessary treatments and expenses (unlike most other vets). I also find him to be very straight forward and honest, so if you like sugar-coating and someone who spends extra time fussing over how cute your animal is, he may not be the right vet for you. I personally only care about how well he treats the animals, his knowledge and experience, and the fact that he could be charging more for his services but doesnt. I dont care about how warm and fuzzy he may or may not come across, I care about the fact that he cares! Any person looking for a good, affordable vet would be silly not take their pet here.

I used to take one of my dogs and my cat here, because they are more affordable than other places but every time that I took my animals here over a two year period, which was around 10 times because of my animals medical needs, the staff was less than cordial. Doctor Adcock would be very condescending when speaking to us. Every time I have called, the nurses have been rude as well. This morning I called to get copies of their records as we have switched to a new Vet. I called just before 8:30, prepared to leave a message in the event that they were not open yet, but was surprised to have my call answered. The nurse asked what I needed, and before I could answer said "Actuallu, the office isnt even open yet so youll have to wait." And put me on hold. At 8:40 a different woman picked up and asked what I needed. I explained that I just needed copies of their records faxed over to me, and the response I got was "For future reference, our office doesnt actually open until 8:30, and Ill fax those over whenever I get around to it."

I have been going to Dr. Adcock since I was 14 with my first dog. He is intelligent and straightforward....not rude. He is extremely affordable and has worked with us on payments for the more expensive treatments. Hes not going to have long talks about your feelings, hes just gonna treat your animal well. Also, about the comment about pinning the dog down (Elise), it was probably to do a procedure that needed the dog to be still. Hes treating an animal that doesnt know things like " hey, be still so i can stick this thing in your rectum. " Hes always asked me to hold my dog if id like to assist with the procedure. Weve had dogs big and small...never seen him mistreat any of them. Had a couple of surgeries that were very affordable and were down extremely well....almost no downtime for the animal to recoop.

I love Pet Vac Animal Hospital. I rescue cats (and often dogs, too), and take them all to Dr. Adcock for their care. His staff is amazing, knowledgeable and very kind to the animals. Dr. Adcock spends whatever time I need him to answering questions, and always gives me options for any needed treatment. He is honest about what works and what does not, and he does not direct me to the most expensive treatment to start with; there are always options. I am most happy with my recent visit with three rescued cats. One, Tom, had been becoming more and more withdrawn over time, and would not tolerate much of anything -- including just looking at him. Tom would hiss, and run to hide. After our visit to Dr. Adcock, and some Revolution, Tom is social, playful and very affectionate! Thank you Dr. Adcock!

We have taken all of our pets to Dr. Adcock and wouldnt take them any where else. I have read some of the other reviews about them being rude and would like to address this. I have had times where my cat was very very ill (tumor in the sinus cavity) and I thought then that he was rude. However, I quickly realized that his sole purpose was to be there for the animal. He is not there to coddle you. He is there to treat/prevent issues with your animals. This is why you bring your animals to his office....so you will have someone that knows what they are talking about. Dr. Adcock is in my opinion is a genius in his field. If he seems jerky every now and then, Im OK with it, because he treats our furry family right and is hands down the most thorough of any vet Ive come across.

I love Dr. Adcock and his staff! They are very kind to my fur babies, very caring. Pet-Vac is very reasonably priced, they dont try to sell you unnecessary and overpriced services and products. I used to come there years ago when we lived in Cayce, after moving way out in the country I went to some other Vet clinics but we gladly make the long drive to be back with Dr. A and his staff!!! I can only recommend Pet-Vac Animal Hospital!!!

I went with my 7mth old in a stroller and my 3 dogs. The staff saw i was having a hard time and they were wonderful enough to take them in the kennel out back and treated them until it was my turn to pay. The staff was nice enough to watch the baby for me to put the dogs in the car. I love going there the staff is good to me and my dogs. They try to watch out for whats best for our fury little family members.
