The receptionist will give you an office visit estimate herself, not the doctor. Which I wasnt bothered much about. As I waited to see the vet with my dog, The doctor had only came inside the room once, didnt bother touching the dog, asked me what was wrong and said he needed to run tests and left. He didnt even let us know what could possibly be wrong with him or anything, he got straight to the money. My dogs stomach was HUGE, so he needed urgent care. Yet they took their time. Mind you I was the only client there at the time. After I waited, the receptionist came in the room once again, to give me ANOTHER estimate of how much the tests would cost, almost $700 !!!! I believe it is the doctors job to tell their clients the estimates and have a walk through of how they work, etc. Now as I was sitting in the room waiting, before she came in with the estimate, I decided to read reviews about the place and I didnt feel too happy with it, I knew then and there my dog was not going to die in the hands of an uncaring facility who just wants money. Many people stated how some vets there dont care, their animals have died in their hands due to malpractice. They complained about the price as well. Now I know my dogs life doesnt have a price. BUT the way the visit went, I didnt even feel that my bully was in safe hands, as he was shaking in fear as most dogs do at the clinic, I felt the same way inside. Now the young ladies working there are very loving and seem genuinely loving with animals so I give them 5 stars. I cant blame them, because they do as they are told. The doctor on the other hand seemed uninterested and not friendly, Dr. Cristian Perales is his name. Now I understand people can have their bad days, maybe today was his. So Ill be somewhat understanding. Although the doctor didnt even get to run any tests, they still charged the office visit which was $97 which I was ready for because I read that in a review as well .... but I paid $97 for nothing basically. All they did was ask me what was wrong and one of the girls weighed him and THATS IT. If Im not mistaken I think office visits do more than just that. Never coming to this place again, Maybe if we had another doctor it would have been different, fortunately we have our own personal vet who before was unable to attend us due to his other appointments but luckily he responded to us right before I put my babys life in the hands of these people, at this moment my bully is in the hands of someone I trust. Make sure to read all the reviews before you go, If you have a BIG EMERGENCY I highly recommend choosing another 24 hour place, if this is the ONLY one in your area just be ready to empty out those pockets and pray your pets survive or get better soon. FYI - Emergency visits are $97 and regular hours are $45 .... you basically pay to tell them what is wrong with your dog and to weigh them, later you are given an exaggerated estimate, they dont do anything in the visit, might as well just do free office visits and then rob their clients. -_- ** & TO THE OWNERS OF THIS PAGE/FACILITY : COPYING AND PASTING THE SAME RESPONSE ON BAD REVIEWS IS CARELESS AND LAZY, THEY/WE JUST WANT SOMEONE WHO TRULY CARES, THE COPY/PASTE METHOD IS SHOWING THE PEOPLE READING THESE COMMENTS THAT WE ARE RIGHT. have some heart ------------------------------------------- (edited) A FEW GOOD COMMENTS - CLEAN FACILITY - FRIENDLY STAFF (the receptionist and assistants) - 24 HOUR CONVENIENCE - NEARBY

About 6 months ago my dog got sick and was constantly throwing up. In the middle of the night my wife and I decided to take my pet to an emergency hospital. Nothing was open, so we tried this place because it had "decent" reviews. Unfortunately, I made a huge mistake. First, it took them two hours to examine my dog and we were the only ones there at that time. After having her checked out briefly, the doctor almost assured me that she had an intestinal blockage. I was really surprised because she is an older dog that had never swallowed anything in the past or had a history of breaking things etc. Nonetheless, based on the diagnosis, I was recommended x-rays and blood work estimated at a cost of $600. I was smart enough to take one step at a time. I requested x-rays to get done first. The doctor took us to the x-ray room and showed us the results which she was "confident" revealed the intestinal obstruction and recommended surgical intervention as soon as possible. By this point we were desperate to figure out how we can help our pet. We refused a surgery at first (which they estimated at over $3000) if we could perform an endoscopy instead because we did not want to put the dog through a stressful surgery at her age. Luckily for us, they did not have an endoscopy machine and we asked to get referred to someone they could recommend that had an endoscopy machine. The whole consultation ran us about $300. To keep things short, the place they referred me to must have been in cahoots with this place because they wanted an arm and a leg to do basic procedures. I think it was something like $1200 just to have my dog stay there for a few hours and get her checked out. This did not even include the cost of the endoscopy. We had a bad vibe about this other place we were recommended from the moment we got there and the staff was rude to say the least. They charged me $100 just to see my dog 10 mins. So we waited until the morning and took my dog to my local vet. He had her checked out briefly, in fact, my vet tried seeing the x-rays from Doral Centre Animal Hospital and he said they were really poorly taken. He could not see anything abnormal from the x-rays but could not provide me with a full diagnosis because he had to leave town that same day, so he recommended me someone he trusted that could perform any type of procedure imaginable if necessary. We drove about an hour north from Miami to a specialist. The specialist saw my dog and diagnosed her with severe irritation of the stomach and gave her anti-vomiting medication and fluids because she was very dehydrated. She sent us home and gave us some feeding instructions. It has been 6 months since this incident and my dog is doing fine. Having said all that, this place was incompetent and negligent because it failed to provide me with an accurate diagnosis and almost exposed my pet to an unnecessary surgical procedure, which could have risked her life. Not to mention the agony that they placed my wife and I considering we thought our pet was going to die because the dog had something stuck in her intestines. This has led me to the conclusion that this place is either not qualified to handle serious emergencies or the only thing they care about is making money by aggravating the circumstances to the point that a person in a desperate situation, for the sake of saving their pet, submits to anything the doctor recommends. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Been coming here for years for different pets and friends theyve always been pricey. Be prepared to spend a lot of money here and beware because they will even lie to get more money out of you even playing with a dogs life.NOT COOL. I took in my mother in laws chihuahua that got hit by a car while she was away in another country. They took him in and cared for him bandaged him up and gave me a big fat bill (of course) after they come back with the bill of $800 something and I AGREE to paying it they then leave and come back with an even bigger bill of $1,000+ talking about oh theres this test that we recommend and blah blah blah. In my head I was like why didnt they just give me this bill from the beginning? Im already feeling fishy about the situation feeling like theyre just interested in money and not my dogs health because they saw I was willing to pay whatever it takes so they want to add even more to it, you get me? So Im like whatever, Im more concerned about the dogs life so I pay the $1,000+ and Im scheduled to be back in 3 days for a new bandage. JUST WAIT IT GETS WORSE. When I come back they give me this story that my dogs leg is infected and "it got to the bone" so they give me the choice to either amputate the leg which they want to charge me $7,000-$8,000+ for OR that I PUT MY DOG TO SLEEP AND END ITS LIFE because "he was going to die slowly and in pain". This was the worst nightmare ever!! Right off the bat I told them I didnt have that type of money so they gave me the cheaper way out which was still pretty expensive (of course because were talking about Doral Vet clinic here guys) I took my dog home and was prepared to say my goodbyes so I spent one last night with him and woke up early ready to put him to sleep. By some miracle I ended up at animal services and told them the story that I needed to put him to sleep and they said no way that they will treat him and if worse comes to worse they will amputate his leg for free. Little by little all it took was some antibiotics and re-bandaging from time to time.. And voila my dog that was dying slowly and I needed to put to sleep is now healthy as ever running around and being a happy dog! No infected leg or bone or nothing! Wow! I cannot believe the type of THIEVES that these people are. I was in the middle of relocating when this happened late February and Im writing this review now because the dog stayed with my mother in law in Miami and I just saw the same dog again and I couldnt believe that I almost ended an innocent dogs life because of these EVIL PEOPLE. I believe everyone should know the truth and what theyre getting themselves into when coming to this clinic. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. STAY CLEAR AND GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. I know I wont be going back even if they paid me to Im in another state now so GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.
