Amazing Animal Hospital!! I have a 5 Year old Female Weimaraner that was pregnant. I wasnt sure the exact date she became fertile so I wasnt expecting her to give birth anytime soon. I came home from work yesterday on the 28th of August around 3PM and she was already in labor with one playful puppy by her side. I decided against going to the vet because Ive had plenty of dogs in my life and give birth without any issues. While I was waiting for the next puppy I decided to look around and discovered a previous one didnt make it. This being her first litter I accepted that she might have small issues. I got her comfortable with a bed and waited for the next puppy. The next puppy comes around 9PM it came feet first and it wasnt moving, no breathing, or heartbeat. At this time i tried to give it CPR to see if it would make it. After a little while with no luck I decided to get her comfortable again and wait for the next puppy. The night passes and I decide to take her to the vet in the morning because she still has puppies in her belly. The first vet I took her to did X-Rays and said they couldnt perform a C-Section. They referred me to a few and I called around with no luck. Everywhere I called couldnt perform the surgery, couldnt fit me into their schedule, or would do it for an outrageous price and she would be spayed. I called Aussie Animal Hospital, I explained everything going on and they told me to come in as soon as possible. When I arrived they were already waiting for me. They pulled me directly into the back weighed her, put an ultra sound on her and then went straight into surgery. At this time it is 3PM on the 29th of August, A full 24- Hours from when she went into labor. They pulled out all 3 lifeless puppies and worked their magic. After about 5 Minutes all 3 were fully alert and healthy. They cleaned and stitched the mom back up and while we were waiting for the medicine to wear off. This entire process from when I first walked in was 30 Minutes!! I waited about another 30 minutes for the medicine to wear off from the mom so she could walk. I went to the front to pay and left Happier then I thought I was going to be. I was only trying to make sure the mom and her pup were going to be alive and well I spent almost $900 and left with 3 more puppies that I had already presumed werent going to make it. I now have a Happy and Healthy mom and 4 little Weimaraner Puppies. I Highly recommend this Animal Hospital to Everyone!

Last night at around 6:15 pm my boyfriend and I were at the Shell Rapid Lube on S. Dixie Highway when we saw a small dog get run over right in front of the building. We picked up the dog from the middle of the street and an employee from Shell told us about this hospital. Unfortunately I dont remember the name of the lady who picked up the phone but this review is about her. She had no soul. I explained to her what happened and I told her that the dog was active and responsive. I asked if we could take the dog to them but she flat out said that if no one pays for the bill that they would euthanize her. I then asked if she knew of a place that I could call to get help because we dont have the money to pay for her. She said no, that I just had to keep calling around. After that I just hung up on her. I understand that the hospital has their policy but this lady should have been more helpful - she should have at least known the number to animal control or something. There was NO sympathy in her voice. Shortly after that phone call, thankfully the little dog started walking on her own and actually playing with us. There were two people in the group with us who said they normally take their pets to this hospital but after hearing the conversation I had with that lady, they both said theyd never take their pet there again. That lady needs a heart.

Very UNPROFESSIONAL and IRRESPONSIBLE! I brought in a stray dog to be neutered. They did not even ask me if the dog has been vaccinated! They took him in the back and put him in a kennel right next to a PARVO dog! Parvo is a terrible airborne disease that clings to your clothes and a dog that has NOT been vaccinated, most probably will get sick! I also brought a puppy that has NOT been yet vaccinated and, after I was told about the Parvo dog, I took the puppy and left! But he has been exposed to the virus and I am a nervous wreck waiting for the incubation period to pass and pray he does not get sick! I asked if they do not have a quarantine room and they said no! In the meantime, people are bringing in their dogs and some could be vaccinated and some could not! I had to come home, undress outside, throw away my shoes and my clothes and run to the shower just to make sure I have not brought in the parvo virus with me so my animals dont get sick! I wonder if the Agriculture department would approve this kind of practice! O U T R A G E D !!!!!

My 8 year old yorkie wasnt feeling well for a couple of days. As I searched for near by veterinarian, I came across Aussie Animal hospital that had very good reviews online. I called and told them my babys symptoms and they told me to bring her in immediately for an emergency spay. I rushed over and they took care of me right away. The doctor spoke to me and explained why she was sick. He told me he would operate her immediately, because it was a life threatening infection. He saved my babys life! I cant explain how grateful I am to have met Dr. Machado. You can tell within seconds his passion for animals. I finally found my go to vet.

They tried to test my dog for parvo because she wasnt eating. And I think the test didnt read right, but they still tried telling me, it read positive. And that, I had to keep her there because she wasnt going to make it or for me to give up my dog to them. If I couldnt afford the bill. Which they told me, to go ahead and lie to my kids about leaving my dog, if I was going to give her up. I wasnt completely convince, and took my puppy else where for a second opinion. The other vet office, gave her penicillin, told me she didnt have to stay over night. Did blood work and at the end, shes just fine. At home, where she belongs.

I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary clinic! We moved to Miami just a couple years ago and found ourselves with a new puppy in the fall of 2015. This is the vet the breeder recommended using. The main vet (only vet?) at this practice is one of the most caring veterinarians Ive ever met (and I used to work for one in college). You can tell he truly loves what he does by how compassionate and caring he is with every animal he sees. And, if you are looking for the best prices in Miami...look no further! This practice comes in way under all the competition.
