Took my 5 year old dog in for his annual check up and was pleasantly greeted upon walking in. After a very brief wait we were seen by Dr. Brown who was very attentive and asked a few questions to get to know our crazy pup. He was patient and gentle. My dog took to him and his staff quickly due to their kind and welcoming demeanor. Cost was about what youd expect at any vet, but the client and patient service was top notch. They were happy to answer any questions I had, be it about the cost, preventative products or practice policies before I even made my appointment with them. We look forward to trusting the preventative care of our dog to Dr. Brown and his practice.

Had an emergency this morning. My cat started to deliver kittens and was having distress. The kittens had gotten their umbilical cords tangled around the mothers tail and she could not get them apart and was starting to panic. I rushed her to Newport Veterinary Hospital and they would not even look at her. They said they were not equipped to handle this situation (WHAT???). Told me to go to the emergency clinic and handed me a map to some place in Charlotte, NC. I asked if there was anything I could do and was told that, "We dont really know." I then rushed to Ebenezer Animal Hopsital and had far greater success. Will NEVER go to Newport again.

The staff at Newport Veterinary Hospital is truly the best my family has ever experienced. It took a few unpleasant experiences at other clinics but we finally found them and will never use anyone else again. They are truly caring, compassionate and professional in everything they do. Dr. Cohen is a special person to say the least and we cannot thank him and the staff enough for what they have done for our family and helping us care for our black lab, Maggie. My family and I highly recommend Newport Veterinary Hospital to anyone who has a pet and wants nothing but the best care for them!!!

freaking reideculous. rude. I have been taking my dogs here for years, worked with me on different issues, did a heartworm treatment(over600). Called today to get my cat neutured, found 2 and took them in. The said 250 for this and would still have to get 60dollars worth of shots. Lady hung up on me once i said we probalby couldnt afford all of that and tried to work out payments, "They dont do payments". Called Mconnells vet out the door 75 bucks total all shots and neautered. Wow! Never use newport vet again!!!!!!!!!

my brothers dog was not only made sick by the medication given to him at this vet, but upon returning was treated without compassion AND insulting comments were made about his smell (he was now dying). the only reason we went to this vet instead of my usual is he did not have enough money to be seen by the other one. but their overdoses of medicine made him so sick he had to be put down BY A DIFFERENT VET OF COURSE. CHEAPER DOES NOT MEAN BETTER. you get what you pay for I guess, this is an awful place

We have been using Newport Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years and have been pleased with their attention to our cats health. We were especially pleased this past winter when our cat began to have trouble getting around. Dr. Morrison was willing to go the extra mile to help us find a solution that would work to help ease her pain while we were traveling. A bit costly but she is worth it..
