Double Charged Me! Took Months To Correct Problem! I was a first time patient. I scheduled an appointment for a regular cleaning/xrays about a month out. Shortly before I was due to come in, they notified me that they had to cancel the appointment because no one was available to give me a cleaning. The next available appointment was about a month out and I took it. I arrived at the appointment a little early. After I got done with the xrays, they told me they did not have time to complete everything and that I should come back another day. So I did. (On my insurance I have a $25/copay for cleaning). On my second appointment they completed everything. Then they billed me $50. I told them it should have only cost $25 and they told me "NO!, according to your insurance, the total will be $50". So I paid it. I called my insurance and explained the situation and they told me I would have to contact Armed Forces Dental about getting a refund for the $25. I then made about 2-3 visits to A.F.D. about the refund. On my last visit I spent over an hour in the office and had to ask to speak to head dentist and have secretary contact my insurance company about the issue. They then gave me a refund for the $25. After they gave me the refund, they began to send me letters in the mail saying I owe them $25. It was getting really annoying so I went back up there yesterday. After wasting more time at their office... the secretary said she has fixed the issue saying that "it was not your fault the appointments had to be split up". Other things I noticed is that they took an excessively high amount of Xrays, many had to be retaken. I estimate somewhere around 20-30+, I wish I had counted. Also, the charges to my insurance company seemed VERY EXCESSIVE!!! If your dental plan has limits of yearly coverage (most do) you will want to pay attention to what Armed Forces Dental is charging your insurance company. If I could, I would give this place ZERO STARS! If this happens to you. I would suggest contacting BBB, State Attorney General, & Insurance Company to report Armed Forces Dental Center.

Dont go here unless you like being lied to and getting surprise bills. I was never told that I was being charged for an exam to have 2 emergency extractions and then they scheduled me to come back in for a comprehensive exam. Well they called to confirm my appointment and I told them I would have to cancel because my insurance only covers 1 exam every 6 months and I already had one at another dentist when I was getting a second opinion. Well the lady I talked to told me they would give me my exam for free if the insurance wouldnt cover it. Now Im getting a bill in the mail with late fees for 3 different exams that I didnt know I owed. The first two exams I didnt know I was getting billed for and the last was supposed to be free. The lady from the billing said she doesnt know who I talked to but that they dont comp exams.

When my wife iniatelly went they were all polite and got my family in fast. They did great with my daughter. However, shortly after having them put in a filling in her tooth it cracks and now she need a crown. They told her it isnt their problem that it happened and will not discount for repairing it. Then they told her if they dont do it while she is there then she has to wait 8 days until they can fit her in. She have had 3 other fillings and never had a problem! The cost is outrageous when they told me what it would be 1,166! so I started shopping around and sure enough they are more than other places! We are not going back!

Thank you Armed forces dental center, Dr Jeffrey Carter and his team. The front office is a group of 2 ladies and theyre so sweet! Very friendly back office team during my consultation a few months ago! I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday by OSI Dr Jeffrey Carter, his team was very friendly and took their time letting me know what drugs Id be given in order to breastfeed my baby. 4 hours after surgery I was able to, for any EFB moms out there! I have not needed any pain meds besides motrin. They were very gentle it was very quick and I feel great on day 2! Thank you both teams again

I have been going to armed forces for a few years now and never had a problem, recently they have a new dentist (I dont remember her name) running it and she is awesome. Very friendly, very outgoing. I had to have to teeth pulled yesterday and they did a great job. Last night around 9pm I received a phone call and it was her on her personal number calling to ask how I was doing and to let me know what had happened during the exam since I was heavily sedated for my procedure. I will definitely continue to go back as will my family.

My teenagers went here and had decent service, however when we returned for their 6-month cleaning, we were told they no longer accepted their insurance. No courtesy call or anything beforehand, so we were left without a dentist. That is just bad business and extremely inconvenient. Thank goodness I found a better dental center, so it all turned out for the best.
