Dr. Dawald is the only dentist I have ever gone to since I was like 4(Im 23 now), untill yesterday. Since he is the only dentist I have ever been to, so I didnt know what a good dentist should be like. Yesterday I had a filling that Dr. dawald had placed come out and I was in agony. this is the second time it has happened on two different teeth. I called to make an appointment to get it taken care of. I told the receptionist that I was in pain and need to see someone and she told me that she could not get me in on the same day. I kind of expected that since it was already 1pm but what I didnt expect was that I called on May 11 and was told I would not be able to get in till June 12 (yes I checked with her to make sure I heard that right twice). I cant eat or drink anything and I could barely talk and they wanted me to wait a month. Up untill yesterday I had never had a problem with the "office" side. They are usually vary nice and friendly and when I had problems with my insurance company a year ago they set up a payment plan for me which was really helpfull at the time. Like I said earlier I have never known another dentist. Yesterday when I called around and found a dentist that could get me in that day I realized a huge differents. The biggest one being is when I would go in to see Dr.dawald like when I had my fillings put in, my mouth is suppose to be numb and I tell Dr. Dawald "I can still fill that and it hurts". He would tell me I was just filling the pressure from what he was doing. Like I didnt know what pain felt like . Not knowing any different I believed him. Which brings me to the next thing I didnt like about Dr.dawald was that he talked right trough me. For example when my filling came out the first time I siting in the exam chair he takes one look and says Im going to have to pull it. I ask is there nothing else that can be done about it and I get a flat no. I just got the empression that I was expected to trust him and go with it nothing was ever explained. This place is all about the money pushing as many patiences in and out as possible. I got the impression that he does not actualy care about his patients. I have always dreaded going to the dentist and now I know the reason why. Im glad I found a dentist Im acturaly looking forward to go see. Because I wont be coming back here.

I retired from the Army and bought a home in Clarksville in 1989. Not a year past and I had to find a dentist for help with an awful toothache. The closest place was this one, so I made an appointment for the next day as a walk-in. I didnt have to wait very long and went in to see Dr. Ernest DeWald, a retired COL. I arrived with a terrible fear of dentists because of the way I was treated in the Army on 2 occasions in about 68 & 71, when it was policy to just yank the teeth out, rather than spend the time and money to do a root canal, etc. I mentioned that to Dr. DeWald. He did a root canal for me on that first visit and I actually left with a smile on my face. And the price was very reasonable. Since then, I have yet to see any other dentist, relying completely on the extensive expertise of Dr. DeWald. My wife and I have had numerous visits and hopefully will never see anyone else for our dental needs. The receptionists and the dental assistants have always been pleasant and professional, treating both of us with respect and kindness, even sharing a few laughs now and then.. I have referred many friends and highly recommend Dr. Dewald and the Clarksville Dental Center.

Dr. Renfroe is a wonderful dentist and the staff are all so very kind. For years I have needed some light work on my teeth but have always hated going to the dentist. About a year ago I needed a little more extensive work on my teeth and couldnt decide where to go. A friend of mine suggested Dr. Renfroe and had told me that he was very kind and gentle and that I could get all the work done that I needed. I came to Clarksville Dental Center in April of 2013. From the moment I arrived I felt at ease. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and then I met Dr. Renfroe! He treated me like family from the get go. He listened very patiently as I explained my previous experience with dentists and my fear. He was very kind and assured me this would not be the same, then he took the time and explained every step of what they were going to do. I ended up having a root canal (THE DREADED ROOT CANAL) and I can truly say I never had any pain at all, even in the days right after! Since I have had other work done and will continue to have all my dental work done here. They are by far the best and I highly recommend Dr.Renfroe to anyone needing any work done!

I have gone to Dr Renfroe for a few years now. I have never had a more compassionate and thorough dentist in my life! I was always apprehensive about going to the dentist until I found Dr Renfroe. He takes the time to answer my questions and makes sure Im as comfortable as possible during my appointments. They have lots of access to care since theyre open nights and weekends so I dont have to take off work. As a side note, I read some other guys post on here and was shocked that somebody blames the dental office for him not checking with his own insurance policy on where to go in network. Thats just common sense! Asking someone if they "take" an insurance is much different than asking "are you in network" which is what Im sure that guy did. Nothing at fault with the dentist there. Im sure they "take" lots of insurances but probably just werent in network with his plan. Most intelligent people know to ask about the network. Its sad people write bad reviews for their own errors because I love this office and so does my family.

Billing issues and miscommunication almost caused me to go elsewhere but Im so glad I stuck it out. Scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and got called back right away. I needed a crown, however one of my insurances expires at the end of this month so my dental assistant called the doc right away and he agreed to squeeze me in with another appointment the VERY NEXT DAY! Dr. Renfroe was amazing as was all of his assistants. He explained the process and made sure to answer any of my questions. It thought it was awesome he didnt treat me like a double booked patient even though thats what I was. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of attention and professionalism everyone possessed. I saved a lot of money because of the dedication these dentists and assistants have. Bottom line-I will NOT be switching dentists! Thanks Clarksville Dental Center for the enjoyable experience!
