This vet is always mis communicating. They failed to determine if my kitten was fixed or not until they cut her open. They also told me she was worm free when she was not jeopardizing my healthy animals, and then lied and said it was impossible to check for the worms. I asked why he didnt inform us of the test for determining if she was fixed allready and he said it was because I didnt ask him? I was un aware of any tests and apparently its my responsibility to know these things, not the "professional" Im paying to do the job. This doctor doesnt keep up with modern medical advancements, nor does he keep up with the ever evolving field of vetrenary practice. He is an old school vet who apparently doesnt excercise critical thinking skills. His staff is rude and dismissive when we ask questions. They speak to you like youre an idiot. AVOID THIS VET. They have no integrity, nor do they take any responsibility for their actions. My poor kitten is sitting there now cut open because this FOOL didnt think it was nessecary to inform me of the simple test available to him, even though we gave the history of the cat, and it was clear that he failed in his duty. When confronted about it he shrugged me off and exclaimed that he could have lied to me and I wouldnt have been none the wiser! I find it amusing that this vet continuously is trying to sell me screening tests and vaccines 24/7, but didnt think it was relevant to check if a STRAY cat had been fixed or not. When deciding if she was fixed or not he told us it was impossible to tell until they are cut open which is a blatant LIE. Go to this vet if you wanna waste money on things you dont need, have your pets misdiagnosed, Cut open for no reason and then billed for the screw up. NEVER AGAIN.

I have always taken my animals here, and Ive always had awesome experiences. A few years ago I had to take my baby pig here on Christmas morning because she had been attacked by a dog, and they took awesome care of her. They listened to us, explained her injuries to us, and saved her life. About a year or two later I had to rush my dog to the vet because we found him in a field almost non-responsive with foam coming from his mouth. They determined it was poisoning, gave him medicine, and kept him for a few days to make sure he was going to be okay. A week after we got him home he was hit by a car and had to be rushed right back to the vet. They took care of him then, too, and saved his life. About a year after that, my 5 month old puppy was attacked by dogs, which resulted in both of her back legs being broken so bad that she needed surgery. They took care of her, did her surgery, and saved us money. The vets here know what theyre doing, and theyve always been so gentle with my pets and very informative. I would recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone and everyone.

I just moved to the area and had an emergency. The staff then treated my cat well. When it was time for a follow-up for a his hypothyroidism, I called for an appointment and was given NO instructions about prepping for the visit. When I arrived, a vet tech gave me an attitude because my cat had not had his meds for the morning. I started to leave but the staff decided it would be OK to check his bloodwork if hes had his meds regularly otherwise. I should have left, but I didnt. His thyroid levels were low. When I asked if that was due to his not having his meds this morning they said it could be. I then asked why they did the test if that was possible and the staff member said MOST people KNOW what theyre supposed to do before a visit. WTF? This is MY fault? You got your $100 out of me this time. I got a wasted trip and a poor elderly cat that looks like a vampire attacked him.

Its all about the money for them!!! I recently took my two dogs to this clinic for their initial checkup and was not too impress with the facility. The initial cost for their exam was $45 each, by the time I left my bill was over $280. I always buy my prescriptions online from a reliable Vet Pharmacy to save money. So when they requested approval from this clinic, I was informed by the Maury County Veterinary Hospital that I would be charged an additional $30 for this request because I did not buy it from them at a higher cost. I was told that this clinic was a business. I immediately withdrew my dogs records because I dont want "business like" care for my pets but a caring place where my "business" is appreciated. For $30 they just lost potentially $600 this year, because that makes "business" sense.

I drove 35 miles to this vet because the local ones were way to expensive by my house. I felt like the vet explained the disease well and also related to me on a personal level. He also explained the reasoning why my cat decided to pee outside of the litter box. It really helped me to stop getting upset at my cat when he was peeing outside of the box. He also treated him well since I had already paid the same price at a previous vet that did almost nothing to treat my cat. The infection did not get better after I went to the previous vet, so I had to visit Maury County Animal Hospital, and I am glad I did. They treated my cat and his infection is gone. THANKS!

Weve been using Maury Vet Hospital for about 5 years and have always had good results. The office has a country vet feel. They dont have a water feature in the office or an iPad app, but they are friendly and have done a good job for us. I recently had to call them in the middle of the night because my dog who is never sick lay down and stopped eating. The vet on call responded within 10 minutes and walked me through some over the counter medication that got her back on her feet. That kind of service is why I recommend this office.

We moved back to Columbia over a year ago, and we got a puppy shortly after moving back. We were nervous to find a new vet for our two dogs, but MCVH didnt disappoint at all. They are very friendly and answer all of my questions that I have about our pups. They genuinely care about them and love on them as if they are their own. It is very clean and doesnt smell like other vet offices we have been to before. I highly recommend them! I have tried almost all of the vets, and I love them all!

My dog developed some eye problems when I was visiting my parents in Columbia. They were able to schedule an appointment within three hours of my call and did not charge me for an emergency visit. Even though I had to fill out some paperwork, my wait-time was reasonable (less than 20 minutes,) and so were the prices ($30 for an exam.) The veterinarian is very gentle and kind. If I lived in Tennessee I would definitely come back, but hopefully I wont have to again!
