BAD BUSINESS ALERT! Do not go to ASPEN DENTAL in Cookeville. What a racket. I only made a late appt there because I started a new job and my regular dentist closes at 4. I have had issues with one tooth for months. My regular dentist had just put a temp crown on it and told me that if I had any more issues, it would just have to come out. So, I called Aspen and told them my long history. The lady was really nice and verified my 5pm appt in about a week. Great! I wouldnt have to miss work! I specifically told her I needed an extraction and that I had insurance and could pay the difference. I wanted an appt sooner if they could get me in. She put me on hold a few times saying she was talking to the office manager about putting me on a wait list to get in sooner because I was in pain. She said I would be called if they could get me in. So, today I go in. They give me literally about 15 x-rays. I questioned that saying I really didnt need all that. COMPANY POLICY! they say. All new xrays for new patients. O.K.... Then I was taken back to the chair and a Dentist looked at the xrays. I told her the temp crown had already popped off and that I could take it off. She said yes and looked at the tooth for about 3 seconds. She then told me to put the crown back on. HUH? I asked why because they were going to pull it. She said no they werent. I said I made this appt for that reason and she left in a hurry. The office Mgr came in and held out her hand. "Lets go up front and discuss costs and scheduling." I asked why. I am at my appt to get my tooth fixed. Oh no...this was just a new patient appt. We argued. I said if I had to come back for another appt I may as well go to my regular dentist. She said she could pull the phone conversation when I made the appt. I called her bluff and asked her to pull it up right then and lets all listen to it because I was very specific about why I was coming. She said that was a call center and they dont have anything to do with it. I said THEY? Its YOU. Your company. She said they couldn;t just schedule to pull a tooth because the person might have health issues or the root might be up in the sinuses. I asked isnt that why I filled out the health history and they took 14 x-rays? She said they werent extracting it and that they already had someone in for an extraction. It was too late in the day. I told them they had better not send a bill for those uneeded xrays to my insurance. I left and said I would never go back. Here I am, tooth still in, in pain. ARG! I should have heeded the horrible reviews but didnt see them until today. Unless you want to be out lots of money for multiple appts to take care of ONE issue and mutiple xrays for which they can charge your insurance, and you want to be lied to and strong-armed, then AVOID ASPEN DENTAL at all costs.

I had been up all night hurting and had not been able to eat for over 24 hours due to pain from a broken,infected tooth. I was desperate to get to a dentist and get some help,hoping to have it removed. When I was called back the first lady I encountered wanted to do xrays on both sides of my mouth. I was alright with the opposing side but had excruciating pain on the other and was unable to bite down on this as she wished. She angrily asked me what the problem was.As she jerked the piece of equipment out of my mouth it was quiet evident she was angered. She then was going to do something with my front teeth and started toward my mouth with it, jerked it back and said we cant do this just come with me!She took me back to a room and told me to have a seat. Then she and another lady returned to check my gums. The lady of course went straight to the bad tooth side and touched it causing me to jump. She went back at it again and then stopped telling the first lady I had too much pain to continue. This was the ONLY lady in the back that was nice. The doctor then came in staring at me as though I was some sort of alien with the first lady. They stood behind me mumbling with each other for 2-3 minutes and then came around in front of me asking me what my problem seemed to be and I told her I had a bad tooth causing me alot of pain. She had me open my mouth and she began chanting off numbers. Then rudely told me it could not be pulled she would prescribe me a low dose of penicillin and we would pull it in 2 days. Oddly enough they didnt have any nametags on that I noted.After another sleepless, painful night, the entire side of my face and parts of my neck were swollen and still are. I called the office to let them know I would have to cancel the pulling appointment due to a worsening situation at which point I was asked to return. I went back and waited so the antibiotic could be changed. Now its 2 days later, Ive still been unable to eat, still in major pain and very swollen. This is the rudest people I have ever encountered and I suspect one of these days they will get to have such a horrid experience and maybe then they will think about how they treat people. Maybe not. I would never advise anyone to visit this place to experience such rudeness. I have worked in customer service for years and I know that this sort of behavior is not generally tolerated. Best of luck with your business and these people you have employed.After this treatment there is no possibility I would let them pull my tooth or teeth, God only knows what would happen.I am not putting any star rating on this place and if it appears it is NOT because I put it there.

This is the first google review i have ever written but I dont want anyone to go to this dentist.I hope this review saves someone the trouble I had.This is by far the worst dentist I have ever been to!!!if I could rate zero I would have!This is the biggest gimmick!They reel you in for $19 but want to charge you outrageous prices for care.The dentist was extremely rude to me.I almost cried.I had went there because I have heard good things and I thought prices would be reasonable.recently I had went to dentist and the referred me to a oral surgeons because the tooth I have to get removed was close to sinus.I waited 2 hours for her to look at my teeth in less than a min.she spent no time explaining anything to me when I asked her a question ,she was snippy and said wait a minute and I will explain. She told me nothing.I asked her what I needed done about that tooth and she said I already told u I could get it out.I told her I was told I needed to go to surgeon and she blew up and said she told me 4 times she could take it out.And yelled to her assistant ,"Get her a referral to Dr Jones.I dont feel comfortable removing that tooth"So couldnt understand what I had said wrong to her.i just asked what needed to be done. She pretty much refused me care.Then the person at check out said well Dr Burgess can remove it but if u want we can refer you somewhere.Then printed me a sheet that had $3700 something dollars on it.didnt say what all it was for.She was so absolutely rude I dont want her near my mouth again!!!!!!!!
