My rating for this Medical Center is 0 stars. I wanted to post a review and I had to give it some type of star. Today I went to The Baptist Minor Medical Center and after my insurance was check I was told that I would need to pay $230 because I havent met my deducible. I inform her that I had money in my health account and after checking that she told me that I had some outstanding pending claims and if I wanted to be seen I would need to pay $230. I told her that I havent been to the doctor in years and all of my bill are paid but she still stated that I had some outstanding claims and if I wanted to be seen I would need to pay $230. I call my insurance company and was told that I didnt have any pending claim, the last time I had a claim was back in 2015 and my health account balance. After talking to my insurance company I went back to the office and she still repeated the same thing. It seem like she just wanted me to paid something. I havent been to Baptist in over 2 year because I started going to Methodist and I have been there since 2015. I will start back going to Methodist because there they treat you right.

I went to the Union Ave location. Jackie Howell, a manager, was very rude (she did not provide her last name and when I asked for it she told me "Im not lying about my name" - never insinuated - m9st people just provide a last name) and told me that despite my ID and insurance card I could not be seen because I would not provide my social security number. This was my first attempt to be seen in a clinic in Memphis, but no clinic has ever turned me away after a 40 minute wait because I would not provide that number. They dont need it - not for billing insurance or anything else! What a waste of my time!!! Drive to a nicer part of town and a non-Baptist clinic if you cant make it in to see your regular physician & you will be happier. Unfortunately, midtown is not the place for knowledgeable or professional staff based on this experience.

This is by far the worst medical experience I have ever had. Do to an issue with my insurance I always have to tell the clerk to run my insurance specifically. Never had a problem when explaining this quirk. I was refused service because they told me they could not run my insurance like that. I explained that they could and in fact had previously but the woman working the counter became more and more rude. Once her neck bouncing attitude made it clear they wouldnt be letting me see a dr. I became irate. I had been waiting for an hour to be turned away, while in excruciating pain. I would like to note that I went to Methodist minor who swiftly ran my insurance as noted and was seen promptly. The best part is the lady behind the counter then covered her name tag and refused to give me her name

Dont be fooled by their website or app saying theyll call you to come in when "the doctor can see you and a room is available." What they mean to say is, "theres a seat in the waiting room, get comfortable in it." Everyone cheers when they get called--a sign of prolonged waiting. Me? 2 hours in the waiting room. Their website says they can handle vomiting and diarrhea. You need to know these minor medicals do not have IVs so dont bother going here if youre already severely dehydrated. They cant help you. I wouldnt waste my money here again, but one lady did walk and and say she brought her kid to the ER 4 hours earlier and still hadnt been seen, so depending on severity of your need, this still might be a faster option.

I went here in May because I could not swallow, felt hot, and had painful headaches. The wait was about 45 minutes in the lobby and 15 in the examination room, which is fine considering I went to my primary care doctor office first.....waited two hours then was told I wouldnt be seen that day. The doctor didnt perform a strep test on me because mine was so severe.......the tonsils inflamed and I had a fever of 101, so it was obvious. The service was quick with medication being prescribed. If the waiting room is full then the wait will be longer. Thats to be expected. If you are need and want to be seen in a reasonable amount of time, go here.

I sat in the waiting room for an hour and then was finally taken to the back where the doctor didnt even check or run any test she just told me to follow up with my pcp.... What she was trying to do was make sure she got off on time.... And I still feel horrible as hell!!!! This is the worst place in the world to go to!!!! If you have to choose between there and the er trust me you are better off going to the er!!!!!

The ladies / nurses were great, but the Dr.needs to work on his people skills. He sat so far away from me.He looked at me twice throughout the visit. He was very short with me.I had to return a few days later when I learned that he could have given me something else for my pain, but he "forgot" .

Couldnt be more thankful for this staff. I have been throwing up for 2 days and the last thing I wanted to do was sit in a waiting room for hours. They got me in and out with all the prescriptions I needed.

Ridiculous 3-hour wait surrounded by coughing face-mask wearing patients. Only one doctor seeing patients. Nurse practitioner not coming in until noon. Inexcusable. You get better service at a McDonalds.

Good experience overall. Nurse called in RX to wrong pharmacy and did not bother to fix error. That is annoying, but quick experience at Urgent Care.

Baptist minor is the slowest medical center you can go to. Want to visit them but im afraid they will just take my money like the last time.
