I began using this clinic because it was conveniently located. I noticed that my dog is unusually sedated when he comes back home from boarding. For example, my potty trained dog would be sleeping and then wake up all of a sudden go to the hallway and urinate and then go right back to sleep (like he was sleep walking). I understand that the dogs are probably tired from barking back and forth, but I have the sneaking suspicion that they are drugging the dogs. Oh and I did notice the kennel caretakers yelling at the dogs. I would rather them tell me if they are sedating my dog rather than do it behind my back. Also, my dog had a cut which bled slightly. I took my dog to this clinic because I was concerned and the vet wanted to charge $450 to place one stitch. He was talking fast too. Saying things like, "you might as well just leave your dog here so he doesnt bleed all over the carpet, then we can get the surgery done in the morning." It was a small cut and slight bleeding, yes, I was concerned, but not $450 concerned. I decided to wait a couple of days and the cut healed on its own. The last time I took my dog for boarding they came out with him without his blanket and said that we never brought a blanket. They had to go and look for it meaning the blanket was never with him in the kennel. I could understand if they washed the blanket because I have been to a kennel that couldnt find his bedding because they washed it, but they didnt say that. He also came back with infection in all four paws. I had to reflect on all of my experiences there.... most werent very good. I just think that it is unsanitary and extremely smelly. Believe me there are vets out there that can keep the smell down better than that (Belle Meade Animal Hospital, Dr. Greene, Harpeth Valley). The veterinary isnt personable and neither is his tattooed assistant. Although, I did like the receptionists.

If you want to go somewhere that you trust (and trusts you) and is personable, I do not recommend this office. The last couple of times Ive dealt with them, I felt they were trying to swindle me into getting more services. One time they insinuated my dogs UTI was trauma (and asked if I had ever hit her- which was sincerely offensive) and that they may need to run Xrays, etc etc... and it was of course, a UTI, that meds cleared up within 2 days. Another example, being my recent purchase of Heartguard from them. My main vet is back home (Im a college student) so I use Bellevue only if my dog ever gets sick or if I need more routine medicines for her (flea, heartworm preventative, etc). They wanted me to get her ANOTHER heartworm test with them, when she was up to date with a recent one from her regular vet. Because they had no proof she had regularly been on heartguard-(they did have the records though from her annual physical showing where she was heartworm negative). But bc there was no proof she had been on Heartguard regularly they didnt want to sell it to me. They wouldnt believe me, which is crazy when I have always been on top of my dogs health. It truly made no sense, and I finally had to get a little ugly with them just so I could get the medicine to prevent heartworms in my sweet dog...it was ridiculous and I plan to find a new local vet on Monday. There are better places to go in a metro area like Nashville.

The receptionist was the only bright spot of this trip. We took our dog in today because he had an eye issue. It is Saturday, so they were short staffed, and there was not a veterinarian on duty, but rather a couple of vet technicians. After about 30 minutes, we were told that they had no idea what was wrong with my dogs eye, and said we needed to go to an emergency vet. Before we left, the vet tech said, "Ive seen something like this before, and it was serious. The dog ended up losing the eye." After saying this he said, "but hey, it could also be allergies." And then he sent us on our way. Are you kidding me man?? You dont even know whats wrong with him, but youre telling me casually that hell probably lose his eye? Anyway, I totally understand the vets not wanting to come in on the weekends, but dont leave technicians, who cant properly diagnose animals, in charge. Also, we are at the emergency specialist now, and it turned out to just be allergies. Again, if you dont have a staff member who can diagnose an allergy, dont be open on the weekends.

We moved here with one cat and one dog. Locals seem to have an affinity for disposing of their animals in my yard. Behind my house are train tracks. We now have three cats and four dogs. Thanks, Bellevue, for being responsible pet owners. My kids and I took your unwanted animals to Bellevue Animal Hospital and have had them all fixed, vaccinated, medicated, and sadly, one cat had to be euthanized. These people have been FABULOUS with OUR furbabies. Believe me, I tried finding new homes for them but theyre all as weird as we are so theyve stayed. They will also continue to go to Bellevue Animal Hospital.

I cannot believe how they have treated me. My animal suffered a fractured elbow, and dropped the ball on referrals and many other things. I closed my account with them. It is going on a week that my animal has had a fractured elbow and what they said they were going to do they never did. A horrible experience. I would advise anyone who has animals to please! Take them some where else. Your animal is so worth it! They do not care. They stick them with needles and send you on your way and you oay a premium for that garbage.

Ive been coming to Dr King since we moved to Bellevue 20 years ago. Our German Shepard, was termed "hard to handle" but at BAH she was treated like family. Our 11 yr old Chocolate Lab "Coco" loves everyone there and our newest family member Zoè will be going as well. We had a horrible experience with my daughters 4 year old rescued Boxer and she had to be euthanized . But Dr King did everything humanly possible, and cried with us when it was time to let her go. They love animals here. You cant find a better place!!

We just moved to Nashville and had to find a new vet for our dogs and cat. We have been to the office 4 times now and we have been so happy every time. The girls in the front are always so personable and sweet to our pups. The doctors and their assistants are always very helpful and I can tell that they genuinely care about their patients. The prices are very affordable as well. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I fully trust them with all of my fur babies!

Im not entirely sure why the reviews here are so negative. I can only assume they are confusing the clinic with another in the area. Its also possible there has been neglect on the part of the customer and they refuse to admit wrong doing. The boarding thing was particularly hilarious. Ive boarded my dogs there dozens of times with zero issues.
